Nothing special. Similar to a cheap knock off of Chick Fil A. The sandwich is actually not too bad, the buns were really good. The fries were lukewarm as well as the chicken in the sandwich. Funny thing is that I didn’t order fries and didn’t realize they charged me for the meal till after I paid. I told the two girls up front I just wanted a sandwich and a drink but guess I wasn’t explicit enough. The place is a little pricey too, over $ 9 for a sandwich, fries and drink. And if they want to be similar to Chick Fil A, they need to serve regular Brewer ice tea, not just stuff from the dispenser.

My boyfriend and I came here around the first couple hours the outlet opened. We were able to place our order and find seating fairly quickly. The service wasn’t bad and the lady taking our order was nice(a bit on the shy side). I ordered the 5 pieces chicken tenders with Mac and cheese and fries. My boyfriend ordered a burger, fries and a drink. Our order was made fresh and quick. The fries were AWESOME! They were crispy and plumpy(yes, plumpy is now a word lol). I enjoyed the tenders too because they were plump and juicy and didn’t have the dry or greasiness that a lot of other places make their tenders into. The mac and cheese was ok, but nothing overly awe inspiring. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger and combo mix(was very filling). Overall, a good place to try(especially if you’re there before the rush!). I would highly recommend trying their chicken tenders.

Three stars due to that hilarious moment when one of the cooks fucked around with my sandwich and forgot to add the chicken. And I usually like Chickenow ~ if I have no other choice but to eat at the outlet food court and the VERYSTICKYTABLES but even during the last time I ate there I found the chicken underwhelming and not very well-cooked. Please hire new people behind the stove. Other than that no major complaints.

Chickenow? More like Chicken Later. We only had one order and there was only two other people in front of us, yet they took forever to get our food ready. Food was mediocre at best, and the people who worked there kept looking at their customers as they slowly made the food.

Other than the tasteless chicken, the lukewarm sides, and the $ 3.00 medium soda it’s the best place ever! Sucked. Never again.

To sum it up… it really sucks. It definitely isn’t a Chick Filet. It’s more like a place where all chicken tenders go to die. The food isn’t fresh, they didn’t have any soda in their soda fountain. They advertise that they have the world’s best chicken tender. Trust me, they don’t.

I’ll be honest. I go to Chickenow because I use it as a substitute for Raising Canes, which we don’t have in California. Their menu pretty much replicates what they have at Canes, even down to the Texas Toast and signature sauce. The food isn’t as good though, which sadly comes at the expense of the Southern California patrons but it’s a decent replacement if you really need your chicken tenders with spread. If I’m at the San Ysidro Outlet, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to eat here.

I tried a Chickenow in LA before and had a positive experience, so I decided to try this. I’m going to keep it short. My review is based off an order of 10 chicken tenders. The quantity of food is good. Chicken tenders was mostly chicken rather than breading. Sauces were horrible. Tasted extremely bland. Now for the taste. Chicken was completely flavorless. I forced myself to down most of the order because of the protein(I do bodybuilding), but did not enjoy a single bite. Needless to say, there are other Chickenow locations out there that are great. This spot definitely was not.

Chicken now used to be my go-to spot with my friends in high school back in LA. But after eating here, I’m starting to change my mind about coming back. I ordered 10 piece chicken tender and a salad. Total was $ 18… Rip off, literally. My food was coldish warm, my salad was alright. Staff? Hahaha, they do their job as a cashier but I wouldn’t hire them if I owned a restaurant. While a customer is asking for something don’t speak in different language, it can give off the wrong message. Don’t make the customer say thank you, YOU are supposed to. They did what I asked for but be nice about it… Manager needs to train them customer service. I will definitely go back to the Arcadia(Santa Anita Mall) location. They have way better food, sauce and customer service. But, I will not be coming back to this location.

Chicken now? Should be called Chicken Wow! My chicken wrap was fresh, hot and tasty. The best I ever had in SD. The service was quick, 5 min with a line. The server Danielle was friendly and efficient. I think some one-star folks bring bad service and food upon themselves by acting like Superior Sam or Disrespectful Dan when dealing w people in the food service industry. Next, the piker will complain when a small shop is cash only. Just pack $ 10 bucks in your broke ass jeans for lunch next time champ, ’cause we’re tired hearing ya bitch about it. Next time at this outlet, I will be sure to return here and get my Chicken Now!

Wow this has to be one of the worse places I have eaten in San Diego. I ended up stopping by on a busy weekend and the food court was packed! I wanted to grab some asian food, but they didn’t have any fresh portions that day, so I stumbled to Chicken Now. I picked Chicken now, due to the fact that the place only had a few people in line and it looked like the fastest place to grab a bite to eat. I was wrong. There were only 2 people in line in front of me and it took me 10 minutes just to get my order rung up. They only had 1 cook and 1 cashier and they were both slow. I ended up getting a 3 strip combo with 2 sides. After ordering I waited another 15 – 20 minutes! I almost spent my whole lunch break just waiting to get my food from this place. I finally got my food and walked back to work. I ordered the following: Chicken Strips — They were probably the only decent thing that I got out of the plate. Cooked well. Mashed potatoes — These things tasted like boxed potatoes with a nasty tangy sauce that seemed like it was made a week ago. But it wasn’t the worst thing on the plate. Macaroni and Cheese — This is what actually caught my eye when walking by. They looked so fresh and cheesy, they were the complete opposite. They were so soggy and wet and just tasted like Milk! You couldn’t even taste any cheese. My god these people don’t know how to make basic mac and cheese. The Kraft Mac n Cheese is WAY better. This stuff tasted HORRIBLE!!! The customer service was lacking, service was slow, and the food was horrible! I will never come to this place again. I don’t understand how they are still in business. I think it’s only due to the fact their food LOOKS good at first glance. I doubt they have any return customers. Epic FAIL!

I ate here twice now and have to say they made good fried chicken. Not sure why nobody else was satisfied since both times the chicken sandwich or chicken strips were moist and juicy while having an extremely light crust. Maybe people enjoy thick greasy chunks of bready crust around their fried chicken but not me. It’s so much healthier when the dipping is lighter and it also doesn’t take away from the flavor of the bird. Although their mashed potatoes tasted alright, they were served with cold gravy which I found to be totally disgusting and wanting me to make a complaint to warm it up, but I didn’t. Call me a coward but I don’t like making complaints unless it’s a serious matter. Macaroni and cheese was blah and bland and don’t even get me started about the slice of Texas toast they serve you in the chicken box. Stupid if you ask me, they should serve a biscuit or something else completely different. I’ll stick to their spicy crispy chicken sandwiches and crisp seasoned fries. Chick-fil-A is still better than any other fast food chain that serves fried chicken. Yea, you read what I just wrote. I said Chick-fil-A serves the best fried chicken of any fast food chain in San Diego. That second place list includes KFC, Popeye’s, Church’s and few others that have minimum amount of locations.

Grilled chicken pretty good, a nice option for this sub-standard food court. No cups for water, only super huge soda cups or overpriced bottled water. Deal breaker. Back to steak sandwiches.

Deep Fried and nothing Special. I went to the Outlet here and realized, I was STARVING! so I decided to give this place a try, from the menu, it looked pretty basic and predictable, but I was in for a surprise… I ordered the Chicken Toaster and Fries The chicken felt processed & oily and the bread was soft & practically uncooked(like store bought grocery bread) untoasted… so much for the name. The fries were crispy but plain and ginormous. I’m disappointed

OMG! The chicken tenders were SO perfect! Tender and delicous, probablay the best i’ve had. The tenders were very large pieces of chicken breast meat. The bacon cheese fries and Texas Toast which i ordered with the meal were ok, but the chicken is definitely very very good. The meal was pricey, but the chicken was so good that me and my friend thought it was worth the price. i wish they had another place like this more central to San Diego. Yummy chicken!

Located in the food court of Las Americas Outlet I’ve never heard of this chain before. I order the chicken strips which they are I guess famed for, along with mashed potatoes with gravy and some toast. The chicken strips were a little overcooked but otherwise tasted okay. The potatoes were good though. The toast was nothing special. They have other menu items there that I may try if I return. And to the lady that was on her cell phone at the cash register while ringing up my order, that’s bad professionalism on your part. You’re there to work, not socialize. Makes me wonder how they run their operation… Nevertheless I may return.

I have worked at pretty much every single mall in San Diego, with the exceotion of Parkway Plaza, and Las Americas has the worst food court ever. Chicken Now is one of the only places I will eat but it never really satisfies my expectations. The chicken tenders are the only thing I ever order. Every time I order then, the are not hot, just warm and the texture is not crunchy, so they obviously have been sitting around for a bit. No bueno. And their fries… forget about it! While the chicken may not be frozen, the fries definately are. And they are always soggy and at room temp. The house sauce is really good though so I gave them an extra star for that. They are usually pretty quick too, but I would rather wait a couple minutes longer for some hot crispy chicken and fries, even if I come here on my lunch break.

I was at the Las Americas Outlets doing some shopping and next thing I know it was lunch time. I went to their food court and I was lured to Chicken Now by a nice girl giving samples of their chicken tenders. They are 100% white chicken, never frozen and marinated at least 24 hours. I found them to be juicy and flavorful. I would be even happier if the chicken tenders also came in spicy or buffalo sauce. I went ahead and ordered the chicken ceasar wrap which was filled with flavorful white chicken meat, fresh, and flavorful. I do think it was over-priced for how small it was, but I guess you expect that from a mall food court. They also have more to offer than just chicken like salads, sandwiches and quesadillas filled with their chicken of course! They also have a number of sides like black beans and plantains. I also ordered a side of plantains to go which I found to be inconsistently cooked… some were dry and others were really good. This is likely due to the fact that the sides are not made to order. Oh well, at least their chicken is good.
