I usually will get this for the family when I don’t have time to cook. The chicken is good. There have been a couple of time when I got home, I found they gave me flour tortillas instead of corn. So check your order before driving away.

Still come here once every other week. Today I found avocado skin in my salad. Not just a small piece, but a whole slice of the peel! This is a side salad so avocado isn’t included. Please don’t be careless when preparing our food.

I always get the Pollo bowls. The chicken is seasoned well and the price is right if you get the small combos. The larger one is a bit overpriced I think but then again it’s better than the alternative fast food Mexican

My husband and I recently hired El Pollo Loco located on Scripps Poway Parkway to cater our son and daughter-​in-​laws Baby Shower. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Juan, the driver, was so helpful in being willing to set up everything for us. Most importantly, the food was excellent… it was fresh, warm, and delicious. A real crowd pleaser. And, the portions were not skimpy. They were very generous with everything including all the sides. Everyone was happy with our selection. We will definitely consider using your catering service again in the future. Great Job El Pollo Loco!!!

I’ve been craving a Mexican Cobb Salad for awhile now. It’s pretty much the only thing I get at Eli pollo Loco. Stopped by this location for the first time.
One star for my freakin’ salad: The chicken was hard and dry, no avocado, half the lettuce than usual and MY DRESSING WAS MISSING!
Not to mention my husband’s dressing was missing (we thought the salsa we asked for was the dressing, nope), chicken was stale and the tortillas were split in half.
So sad. El Pollo Loco is one of my favorite fast good joints.

Went to this location like I always do on my lunch break so instead of ordering the chicken tortilla soup I decided to get the Avocado salad. Was not impressed at all!!! The chicken breast was bland and dried. The salad was warm not chill like your normal salad at other fast food places and they forgot to add the avocado! I will def miss getting the soup. Will never purchase anything from this store.

I went today and I am never going back. First, we ordered the 24 piece chicken and our order was ready. I walk over to pick it up and there was only 12 so I had to wait longer for our order to be fully complete. I also had chips and guacamole. The chips were absolutely disgusting. They tasted rotten and seemed like they were cooked in a very bad oil. I get home with the food and look in the bag and see that they didn’t put in any tortillas after she specifically asked us what kind of tortilla we want. For these reasons I am never going back. Do not even bother going.

Probably my least favorite location… It doesn’t seem to get a lot of turnover with the volume of people coming in so a lot of the food tastes and feels like it has been sitting here for a looooooong while. The churros are usually stale, the chicken is dry and shriveled, the enchiladas are dried out and pretty rubbery. Very disappointing.

I usually do not write reviews about fast food chains. But this particular El Pollo Loco branch has never done me wrong and simply has the best service I have seen out of many (not just fast food) restaurants. They always generous and on top of their game. I remember one time my mother and I were waiting a little while to get our food because they were busy at that time and their manager offered us free beverages and a free dessert to come along with out family combo. It was amazing. Keep up the good work, El Pollo Loco Scripps Poway Parkway!

I love this place, I repeat, I love this place. You just have to realize that these reviews are just people’s opinions. I have never not been greeted while entering here or acknowlwdged while leaving. truth be told, the reason one goes to any establishment is the product, but i realize that customer service is a big reason too and this place did not disappoint. Five dollars for a tortilla chicken soup and bacon avo side salad with drink was my selection on a recent visit here. The soup was meaty with hearty chunks and the side salad was fresh with crispy lettuce and bacon. Very satisfying and the much better option between the other offerings in this shopping center of McD’s and taco bell.

Wow, what a rude person this lady is! The name on the receipt says Adriana, so I assume that’s her name. She looks like she could be the manager.
Anyway, we are here in the restaurant right now. My son was hungry after school, so we decided to stop by for his small meal. He loves his chicken legs. He always does, but I don’t want to come back if this person is going to be here. She just brought his food to the table and gave me a very nasty look. She pushed my son’s plate with the tray she brought over, expecting me to move his plate out of the way. I thanked her, but she just gave another nasty look. Full of hates.
I will not come back to this location!
Btw, this is only on this one, Scripps Poway location.

The food here is decent. I’ll pick up food here on the way home sometimes. They are very slow here so word of advice is to call ahead and pick up. Like VERRRY SLOW. I went in and ordered an 8 piece once and waited like 25 minutes for it. Granted they were cooking it fresh but even so they managed to overcook it.
It’s very hit or miss here. Sometimes the chicken is cooked just right and sometimes it’s overcooked and a bit dry. The chicken does have good seasoning and flavor though and the sides and salsa helps.
Not a bad place to grab a family meal on your way home though. You do get a pretty good portion size for the price of the family meals.
