Yup, all the other reviews are spot on. Took my two year old for a trim. Someone else butchered it previously. Cam was finishing up another customer, and I could hear that their conversation was centered on retirement and aging. At the end of the cut, Cam refused the gentleman’s tip because he’s retired and on a fixed income.
My kid was fussing, but it didn’t bother Cam. She was kind and patient, taking her time and stopping as needed for a squirming child, taking the time to chat to the kids (I have several) and make them feel important. Such a sweetheart.
As we were finishing up, another customer came in (clearly a regular), and it was like being in someone’s living room. The chat and sense of community was so cool to be a part of.
Most importantly though, there was no butchering going on here. Kid’s hair looks decent and I was happy with the price and service. Way to go, Cam. xxx

Cam, the owner, is amazing! I just happened to walk in off the street 11 years ago and have never gone anywhere else! I was recovering from a very bad perm and she helped me one step at a time. She is professional, personable and a very talented hair stylist. She always listens to what the customer wants and her clients are extremely loyal. Many families have become friends over the years. She is great cutting children’s hair as well. She is flexible with her scheduling, always accommodating your needs, and the prices are right. She keeps us all looking great! She makes hair appointments a fun experience. I always look forward to seeing Cam :)

I have been trying to find a competent person to cut my difficult and stick straight Asian hair for a long time. I’ve tried various salons; including a fancy hair salon in Solona Beach that cost around $ 60 – 70.
Cam (the hair stylist) not only gave me one of the best haircuts in my life for an extremely reasonable cost, but also gave me an enjoyable and comfortable experience.
I ended up going to Cam twice within three days; I decided I wanted to go with her suggestion of more layers in the back and thinning in the front. Cam has loyal customers, so she was extremely busy, yet found time to squeeze me in by staying slightly after typical closing time (all due to my indecisiveness.).
I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

I can’t believe she has been right here for so long and I didn’t know how great she was at cutting hair! Cam (I think that is how you spell it) is so nice an so honest, she does a better job than the stylists at the expensive salons I used to go to that took a half an hour to go to each way! A neighborhood treasure!

My wife and I have been coming here for 3 years and I’m so glad that we found Cam. She does a great job on our hair for a price well below market, and has a huge loyal clientele that keep coming back. She’s a very hard worker, never overcharges and in the short time we’ve known her has become like an extended part of our family. I never go anywhere else.

Cam is awesome, she does a great job, she takes her time and she really knows her clientele! She had been cutting me hair since I was about 13, so almost fifteen years. I’ve tried other places in the area, and they don’t do as good a job. I live up in LA now, but if I can, when im down to visit, I stop in. Making an appointment is recommended, but I’m always a walk-​in because I never know when I’ll happen to be visiting AND be due for a haircut.
She’s a great conversationalist, and always asks about my family! I’m love coming here

The owner Cam is a wonderful person. She does a great job cutting men and women’s hair. Very reasonably priced, always tries to fit you in, does a great job if you want something specific. A family run business — a very honest service. I find most of her clients have been with her for ages.

So glad I found this place! This hair cut… $ 15, the last one… about $ 60 and it was no better. Definitely worth it! I actually came back and I wanted a little more bangs and Cam fixed it up for free. She actually helped me cut off over 10 inches of my hair to donate a couple months ago. I will definitely be back– wonderful service and great price!

I’ve been going to see Cam at Great Cuts Etc since I was a teenager. I’m 34 now. I started coming here when I lived in Penasquitos but since then I have lived in Point Loma, and Escondido. I still make the drive to see Cam because she does an amazing job. She is not only talented but as friendly as it gets. You can’t go wrong with Great Cuts. If you haven’t been here before give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

I stopped in to this haircut salon and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful haircut and great service. Cam takes appointments and does an incredible job. She transformed my hair into a whole new look and remedied the bad haircut I had gotten a few weeks ago somewhere else.
I highly recommend Cam and her work. The price is right at $ 15 for cuts.
