This Jack In The Box has always been good to me. Ultimate Cheese Burger and four tacos at 2:20 am is a clutch move; or two Jumbo Jacks no mayo and four tacos if you’re going the healthy route(get some taco sauce to spice those burgers up). I have noticed many mentioning the décor of this specific location, the history behind this: JBX Grill was a line of fast casual restaurants introduced in 2004 by Jack in the Box Inc. They featured high-quality, café-style food, avoiding most of the cheaper fast-food items typically served at Jack in the Box. The architecture and décor maintained an upbeat, positive atmosphere, and the customer service was comparable to most dine-in restaurants. Two of the Jack in the Box restaurants in San Diego, California(where Jack in the Box is headquartered) were converted to JBX Grill restaurants to test the concept.(The locations in Hillcrest and Pacific Beach still retain many of the JBX elements, including an indoor/outdoor fireplace and modern architecture.) There were also restaurants in Bakersfield, California, Boise, Idaho, and Nampa, Idaho. The concept was a failure and the last stores were reconverted in 2006. Hints the JBX sign and fireplace. Jack in the Box started in San Diego, and the history is really interesting.

Please check your food before you eat it! Cut open your chicken sandwiches and burgers! I came here around 6:30 am on Saturday after spending the night at my brothers house. We decided to stop and get something to eat for my nephew and I before we went back home. I ate almost an entire chicken sandwich before I realized something wasn’t right. I look down and saw MAGGOTS in my FOOD. I immediately ran to go throw and up and not even 5 minutes later my nephew comes running out saying he threw up in bed. I was in bed the next 2 days throwing up, upset stomach, migraine and tired. I had food poising on top of it. Please check your food before you bite into it there is seriously no excuse for this. Down right disgusting.

Jack in the Box was opened early Christmas morning so I came in to grab a quick coffee and a breakfast sandwich before taking on the boardwalk for a hour walk. I ordered the Ultimate Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich combo which came with a hash brown and a regular coffee. The coffee was pretty good and came piping hot, had a dark roast appearance and flavor. The hash brown was good. It was crispy, a light golden brown, but a little oily. It was good with some ketchup. The Sourdough Breakfast sandwich’s looks were deceiving because because it looked well toasted, which it was via its color, but the bread was soft all the way through. I expected a nice exterior crunch by the looks of it, but something went wrong a long way. I ate it there, so it was not very long inside the packaging. It tasted good, as I remember from years ago. The eggs were well fried, the sausage savory and slightly peppery, the ham nice, and the American cheese melted. I liked it, but was not fond of the sourdough un-crunchy bread. The Elder lady at the counter was as nice as can be, but they keep that toast, toasty.

Just went there around 1.30pm this afternoon, we went to the drive thru, came out $ 10.35. My husband give the women $ 20.00, we just trusted her and drive away. Went we checked to change, $ 5 shorts, be careful…

Gross. The fries were lukewarm and completely dry. The burger patty was about 1/8″ thin and was also completely dry. The tomato included the stem scar. With a Wendy’s close by I have no reason to go to JITB anymore. I used to love jack in the box. In fact I worked there when I was 15 and quality control was king. We would throw out fries if they were more than 4 minutes out of the fryer. Which hardly ever happened because their fries used to rock. Makes me sad.

Went there at 12 to cure my hangover… it only made my headache worse. I should’ve known our order would be wrong when we had to repeat it 4 times because she couldn’t understand or speak English. My sourdough Jack MEAL(bacon, Patty, no mayo, no tomatoes) came with onions and tomatoes. onions are not even on the Burger and she forgot the fries and drink. Didn’t charge us for it but still didn’t listen. My husband had 2 chicken sandwiches and a jumbo Jack no lettuce tomatoes or onions and you guessed right HADALLOFITONTHERE. When we told her the order was wrong she said«Here’s food have nice day». Even though this is walking distance I will drive to McDonalds down the road instead.

This JIB should get NOSTARS! I walked in at 8:00pm, and tho two people acknowledged me by nodding(they could not speak English) they didn’t even attempt to engage me at the register… They didn’t even call for help. After 3 mins I left.

The best thing they have going is fresh brewed iced tea! Far superior to McDonald’s iced tea. The sriracha burger has good flavor; like the sauce not the jalapeños. I don’t prefer their fries or other sides other than occasionally the jalapeño bites, though those aren’t great either. The flavor is ok but the cheese doesn’t seem melted even when they are streaming hot. The ranch packages aren’t good… Find a different vendor. BKs are better.

Late night food run for my very particular, not to mention«pregnant» wife. I ordered a sourdough jack with NO tomato, God forbid I show up at my house with fucking tomatoes. As I pull away I am looking at the receipt, reassuring me in my journey that there are none of the little Red Devils on my wife’s sandwich. All is good, right?! Usually pretty good but lately they have been messing my order up. Today they totally forgot my curly fries. Although it is just 2 $ they left out, it was supposed to be there and wasn’t. Not very impressed with this location

The servers are friendly, but inside it’s not very clean. Kind of cool décor, but it feels like a maze because it’s so narrow and closed. But the bathrooms are atrocious! The door handle is broken, their is sand all over the sink and the trash can and even door feels sticky! It’s so gross that next time I’ll just go to McDonalds where I feel clean.

So, where do I start… After making a Drive Thru order at 1 am and I only got 2 items of the 10 items I ordered I went back hours later to get my cash back… which I think Is normal since I didn’t get the items I paid for… the Manager who was in Charge was giving me a hard time for a 15 $ order, telling me indirectly that I am a liar and that he wants to double check the security cameras and the payments if I was there or not… seriously? After 20 mins of waiting and getting more and more upset I told him that it’s fine and that he can take my money he answered: «that’s your decision» worst customer service ever!!! NEVEREVERAGAIN! Beware people!!!

Saturday Night, 1AM, Post– Jay Z concert food run and I got the Munchie Box with the Stacked Grilled Cheese Burger option(Basically a sourdough grilled cheese sandwich, serving as the top bun, stacked on top of a cheeseburger filled with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, beef, and mayo on bottom) Everything in the box tasted stale(tacos, fries, and even the burger), like it had just been waiting there. The only«fresh» tasting item was chicken sandwich off the dollar menu. Pretty disappointing Jack in the Crack run

My orders always get messed up here AND they«forget» to put everything I order in the bags. Sometimes I check before I leave and can ask them for missing things, but sometimes I get home to realize they forgot to give me a milkshake or my nuggets! Seriously annoying.

I’m not a burger fast food person. I’ve never been to Jack in the Box before today – no joke! And for the record I’ve never been to Carl’s Junior or In-N-Out Burger either. My boyfriend had his wisdom teeth extracted last Friday, so that’s why I was inclined to hit up Jack in the Box.(It’ll make sense in a few seconds, I promise!) Frankly, this eating-no-solid-foods routine is getting pricier than I ever would have expected; all the soups, frozen yogurts, smoothies, and acai bowls are adding up! Last week I stumbled across a Jack in the Box buy-1-get-1-free shake/smoothie coupon in my Entertainment book and did a quick online nutritional value search. About 290 calories. Alright. Made with fat-free frozen yogurt. Very nice. Lots of sugar and carbs. Bummer. Just 2g of protein. That sucks. Eh, but why not try it this once? Not a fan of spillage; therefore, I rarely drink and very rarely eat in my car. Given my moderately aggressive style of driving beverage spillage is likely, so I was pleased when the young lady at the window poured my smoothies and put the tops on them in a way that kept the sticky liquid from dribbling down the sides of the containers. Awesome, and, from previous take-out and fast food experiences, certainly not something I’ve come to expect. When it was all said and done the mango smoothie and strawberry-banana smoothie, although unfortunately lacking any real nutritional value, were exponentially better-tasting than I anticipated. I doubt I’ll be paying another visit to Jack in the Box any time soon, but the smoothies served their purpose well.
