I love Jersey Mike’s subs. I tried them first when I lived in Orlando and thought they were great. I hate Subway I always feel like I’m just eating a loaf of bread with deli meat on it when I go there. I like how Jersey Mike’s has a big selection of hot sandwiches. Honestly, their Big Kahuna Cheesesteak sandwich is probably the best sandwich that I’ve ever had. It’s delicious. And it’s huge. Peppers, jalapeños, delicious cheesesteak, UGH it’s good. They have a wide selection of cold subs, hot subs, and chicken options for cheesesteak lovers that don’t like red meat. This location is always busy. It’s proximity to the Marine and Navy bases make it a hot spot at lunch time. It’s best not to try plan around the rush and better to just roll the dice and go when you’re hungry. I’ve tried going at different times and it’s always busy. My only complaint, or maybe just annoyance, is how when you go to pay before you can swipe your card you have to get past the tip screen. It’s annoying and pretty tacky to me. It’s as annoying as going to a bar and seeing a garbage can sized tip basket with TIPS written in permanent marker. I tip when service is excellent or above and beyond. Like bar tending, serving, valet, etc. But when you’re an employee of a sandwich shop and paid to make sandwiches that’s your job. When you are paid to run the cash register why should anyone tip you? This tipping scene has gotten so out of control that it’s cheapening people that deserve tips. If you feel tips are relevant, maybe leave a small tip jar by a register for if the sandwich maker really wows you outside of a normal build. Overall excellent food, though.

I have been to other Jersey Mikes before and they were fine, so this review is strictly for this location. I have never, in my life, seen such a horrible display of customer service. Started my visit by watching a worker handling/repeatedly moving around rolls that were laying out on the counter. I opted for a large roll so that I would get a fresh one that wasn’t out in the open and touched by an unknown amount of other workers. As we tried to place our order 3 employees continued to talk amongst themselves rather than pay any attention to what I was saying. When I ordered I specifically said«I would like a turkey sub but I want to choose what I want on it.» I went down the line and paid. I opened the sub at my table(which was, like all the other tables and booths, filthy and covered in crumbs) and the sub had provolone cheese on it. I brought the sub back to the girl at the slicer and she proceeded to argue with me that I ordered a #7 and I proceeded to tell her that I would never order a #7 because I do not eat provolone cheese. She asked if I wanted her to make me a new one and I said yes, a turkey sub. She said«so you want a #7.» I about lose my mind. It is no wonder that this girl is working at a job like this. If you cannot think outside of the box enough to make a basic sub without it being a specific sub with a number off your menu, you have a problem. I said«no I don’t want a #7, and I have repeatedly stated, I want a turkey sub WITHOUT provolone.» I ask for a manager, SHEISTHEMANAGER. How is this possible? Conversation over, I want to leave, she offers to give me my money back, I say yes and leave after getting her bosses business card. On a side note, my mom ordered a steak sub and the grease was soaked through the entire outside of the bag. Absolutely repulsive. The display of completely unacceptable customer service, ARGUING with a customer about what I ordered(when I would clearly never order something I despise), discussions between 3 workers who obviously cared more about talking to each other than paying attention to customers, the filth of this place, the greasy disgusting bag of food they call a cheese steak sub, the overall lack of ability to think outside the box really are the reasons why I will never return and why I have given this place 1 star. If there was a 0 star option, I would have chosen it. I called BREANNA’S boss TYLOR who advised this is not typical of his ‘best manager’ and that she must have something going on in her life. FYI Tylor– bad excuse. WEALL have things going on in our lives but if we take them out on customers/clients, we get fired. This is a disgrace and by writing this I hope someone higher up in the company, that actually understands how business works(and what sure signs of failure are) sees this and actually cares. Tylor offered me free coupons which I declined as I truly gave my feedback to him in an effort to help save his miserably failing location. *I will add now that the generic post as a response to this post, from jessica, is in no way an example of making things right. Saying you are number one at things does not mean anything. Say you will get a new employee. That might help.

I love deli sandwiches and it really does not get any better than Jersey Mike’s! There are other good sandwich shops(Cappriotti’s, Firehouse, Gourmet Bagger) but NONE of them compare to Jersey Mike’s. It is the freshest, best tasting sandwich hands down! Plus the staff is ALWAYS friendly and happy to make your lunch(or dinner)! Highly recommend this place to all — and suggest ordering online or over the phone to avoid lines at lunch time. They’re popular for a reason! Thanks for working hard and making delicious meals JM staff! You’re doing a great job!

I could not be more dissatisfied… I was waiting and waiting for my sandwich. Granted, I had ordered a hot sandwich but there was a sandwich just sitting on the counter. The guy making sandwiches finally call my name, after I asked about my food… the bread was soggy on the outside, rubbery on the inside. Cold cheese and chicken. Seriously? I won’t be coming back.

Love Jersey Mikes! Eating a #13 «mikes way» takes me back to growing up in NY. The sub was perfect, staff did an awesome job moving people through the line, the definitely know how to handle a weekend lunch rush. Will be back, and to the staff… you guys rock, keep up the great work and service

I’ve been a faithful Jersey Mike’s patron for years. The locations run by the«brothers» in LJ and PB is always on point. I think it’s far superior to any other«chain» sandwich shop. For some reason the Point Loma location is always a shitshow. In the 4 times I’ve been to that location they’ve managed to mess something up every single time. It’s super close and convenient to my work, so I keep trying, but I can’t anymore. I get it, it gets busy, but come on, pull it together people… it’s a sandwich. On a positive, Rico is always awesome!

I love that they slice their meat to ordered, don’t know of anywhere else that does that. The quality is one point. Timely and stream lined choices make it easy to make a decision!

Tastes just like home! I am originally from Philly so I am very particular about where I get my cheesesteaks. Got the Philly Chicken Cheesesteak #16. I was so happy. The service was awesome and quick. The bread was fresh and soft and the meat was amazing! Definitely going back for more.

Not gonna give it a 1 because the food is always great regardless if they make it right or not. I am a Very loyal jersey mikes eater, which is why I feel the need to say something. There was 4 people working, 3 of which looked like it may have been their first week. I understand that sometimes scheduling just works out that you don’t have your strong workers on and it takes 20 minutes to ring up 6 people. But really what disappointed me was the guy that looked like he was the one in charge. Instead of delegating and helping his new teammates out, he just looked irritated that he was working the shift with these people. There were many instances he could have helped instead of being rude to the guy behind me cause he was annoyed the guy on the grill wasn’t getting any of the orders right. Will always be back to jersey mikes, but maybe not this location.

This location was disappointing to me. I am used to getting really good service from jersey mikes. The guy that answered the phone was awesome and that’s about it. My sandwich was ok but it was way too over oiled. It was almost drenched and it normally isn’t like that. The girl who was wrapping sandwiches had no idea how to wrap. My sandwich almost fell out. The cashier was rude. She was short and never even looked at me. She didn’t thank me. Major fail today. I go to jersey mikes all the time but I don’t want to go back to this one.

It’s the closest I get to a New York deli sandwich. Good customer service and staff. The price is right, and Mikes Way is the route to go.

One of my favorite sandwich spots of all time! This location in particular always remembers me(maybe a sign I go there too often…) and my order! It is clean, and has very quick service which I like. If you are a student or military they have a discount for you! I usually go with the California Club and add salami, and put the relish and chipotle mayo on it. These added touches to the already amazing sandwich take it over the top! As always too, you must order mikes way or else did you even go to Jersey Mikes? You can’t go wrong and all of my friends who I have told to order the same sandwich I do have agreed with me. I have also ordered their chipotle cheese steak which was really tasty too. I have loved every sandwich I have ordered here and suggest trying out my order if you are looking to try something new!

I am so Happy I finally stopped in for sub at Jersey Mikes. The staff were truly amazing they went above and beyond and made my experience memorable. I got the Californian and they gentleman asked how I would like it and started to throw out my usual way I would order a sandwich he looked at me with and said with enthusiasm do you want me to make it Mikes way I replied sure why not. I am so happy I took his recommendation the sub was excellent the bread was out of this world! They even gave us a free chocolate chip cookie for being a first timer… If I could give them more stars I would… Thanks again for a amazing experience.

The guys working had such a great attitude, it was a pleasure chatting it up with them. They even applauded my boyfriend for eating the giant chicken Parm sandwich. Great stuff happy to be at work. We will definitely be back.(Picture to fallow)

Seamless experience during my visit. I was on my way to a concert nearby so I called in an order for my favorite sandwich(prepared Mike’s Way) and swung by to pick it up before heading to the venue. The shop is in a mall area so parking wasn’t a problem. My order was ready when I came in so I was out of there within two minutes. The space was clean yet smaller than some locations, but fine in its purpose. The sandwich was on par with the Jersey Mike’s standard. Though not a location I frequent, it’s still part of my go-to sub chain for the last few years.

Pretty disappointed we called ahead with our order and I knew there was a problem when the guy was talking to a girl and talking to me while taking my order. I ordered two sandwiches with nothing too specific and without fail they were both made incorrectly. After getting back to my office my co worker and I found that my sandwich was not even what I ordered and his came without many of the toppings he requested. The guys in the place were friendly but definitely not too focused on making the sandwiches correctly

I’m a huge fan of Jersey Mike’s. It always always kills me that people would still claim that eating Subway is «fresh» when Jersey Mike’s clearly crushes the other chains in that regard. Come on folks, they slice the meat right in front of you! Now, about this particular location: No problems to date and I’ve been a few times. The only thing that bothers me is if there’s a long line it’s just not the most comfortable place to wait. Then again, there definitely are worse problems to have than your place having a long line.

Came in 30 minutes before close. Walked out 10 minutes before close, having enjoyed a pretty good Philly cheesesteak. Bread is awesome, and the ingredients taste like no corners are cut. I don’t see many of these, but I’d recommend over Subway(obviously), or even Port of Subs! 4/5, would eat again. P. S. I think that Jersey style or whatever it is with the vinegar sounds gross.

I love Jersey Mike’s but this location is hit or miss for me. I typically order a club sub Mike’s way. At other locations, «Mike’s Way» offers your sandwich almost drenched in what they call«the juice». Maybe I have become accustomed to the drenching because the two times I have come to this location«the juice» has always been too light and the sandwich a tad dry. Service has been nothing special, which also differs from other locations. Jersey Mike’s typically prides themselves on their outgoing staff. Not at this location. For the experience and lots of juice check out the Mission Valley location.

I’m not crazy about their cheesesteak sammies, I come here for their mini #8. Turkey, ham, cheese, Mike’s way, a little extra red vinegar, bacon and mayo. The crust on their bread is just perfect. Not like that doughy mess that Subway serves. I’m obsessed with this sammie and have one once a week. I have earned my free mini every couple of months. I also now have them remove all the dough inside the bun because I have a small gluten prob and it saves a couple of hundred calories. Best cheesesteak in SD? Jin’s Grill on Midway in Point Loma. Even Ian Pike, the food critic for the Reader says the same thing!
