This is a good location. Better than Encinitas because Encinitas KFC doesn’t participate in a lot of the KFC promos. I went into The Encinitas location for the $ 20 family fill up and they told me they never heard of that promo. But Mira Mesa KFC seems to participate in all the KFC promos and aren’t greedy. They also pick up the phone when you call them and take the time to answer your question in a nice, caring manor. This seems to be the best KFC I’ve gone to because of their customer service and promo participation.

I don’t know why I came here again. These workers are still so incompetent– running around the kitchen like chickens with their heads cut off. The drive-thru is extremely slow, the workers have no manners, and the food tastes like it’s old. This location has consistently been the worst KFC I’ve ever been to. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. They asked me to pull around out front because part of my order wasn’t ready so I waited in my car for about 20 minutes before going in to inquire about my order and they COMPLETELYFORGOTABOUTIT. I wouldn’t even give any stars, if that was an option. I’ve been here for 40 minutes just waiting for food.

Ashamedly we stopped by KFC before our massage at the newly opened Happy Head because we were starving and didn’t want our tummies to growl at us while we enjoyed our hour at the spa. Once in a while, I crave fast food fried chicken and today was definitely one of those days. You can’t really go wrong with KFC because it is the same thing at every restaurant and you get the same experience. Take it for what it is! My family loves KFC so when I was a kid, we’d have this often! I can’t complain because it’s KFC and you get what you pay for! $ 5 meal deal included a drink so I was pretty satisfied.

$ 5.00 fill ups are back! Make sure you check your order while you are paying. Walking in for utensils when you order Mac and cheese is a big no no in my book. I understand chains like KFC must be thrifty with their condiments, napkins and utensils but it should be a given than one shall have a fork inside the bag once you open the bag. Had to drive back for an freaking fork. Not too busy considering the amount of business in the plaza. It might seem silly to write a review about his minor incidents but when I drive back four miles rushing to be back to work on time I can’t help it when I realize that my order wasn’t correct either. I got original instead of crispy also. Come on guys…

KFC hu? Yeah. I ate here recently and in my mind while I was justifying the decision there were so many reasons why it would be fine. As far as cheap eats go I was like chicken? I have not eaten here in about 7 years? They probably got better? I mean, look at technology — how far we have come! Maybe, just maybe, a long established fast food chain like this, especially one who bears some similarities to my last name, they’ve made advances? Nope. KFC — the same as always. Meh. I’ve experiences better. Want that chicken of your childhood? Nostalgic for some mass made biscuits? Come and get it! They’re here for you, ye buckets of olde. I just watched the season finale of game of thrones so maybe I’m just in a bad mood(Jon Snow Forever) and just really want things to go differently.

Got home and found out order was not right. Ordered mac and cheese, but did not receive it though it is clearly listed on my receipt. We did, however, receive some of their nasty mashed potatoes we never order. The chicken tasted like someone dumped a box of salt in the batch. No wonder Chcik-fil-A is now selling more chicken than KFC.

Ordered $ 5 fill up with the 3 tenders… Wait a minute… My box only had 2 tenders! Bummer… It still is more than enough food without the MIA tender… A side, biscuit, cookie and drink for $ 5. Plus, drive through was fast during lunch rush.

I use to like this restaurant. They have been consistent with their food and waiting times arent bad either. I use to occassionally eat here but ever since i found a huge feather on my chicken i can never go back. It just grosses me out to much. Hopefully this doesnt happen to you.

KFC is pretty good for the amount of food they give you for the price right now. They have a special family deal where you get two free large sides which adds a good amount of food. :). Lots of food to eat. Happy eating my friends :).

I love KFC and more especially I love that they have a drive through! I come here once or twice a week and I always get a chicken pot pie and it comes out in an instance. No need for me to drive all the way to Marie Calendars anymore because this is just as good and more affordable!

So gross! The chicken was absolutely way way way too greasy and oily! The only reason i gave it two stars is because of the coleslaw ! It was pretty tasty! That’s it tho. Had heart burn and stomach pain from the chicken tho. Don’t go… Taco bells a better choice lol

It seems like half the time I go to this KFC they tell me «it’s going to take 10 mins to make the chicken.» Not only do I always have to wait for them to make it, which doesn’t make much sense to me because they should already have it prepared since I’m obviously there for chicken, BUT this time 10 minutes meant over 20 mins! Good news was that they gave me a free side for waiting which is why I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1.

Oh dear… your advertisement of boneless chicken worked on me but it looked nothing like the picture or the commercials. Ok normally food doesnt look as good as advertisement but once you see how sad my pieces of chicken looked you will understand. The«boneless“chicken is literally a really thin chicken strip. Its a deformed piece of meat. Never again. I had a coupon for $ 4.99 for 2 pieces and 2 small sides but if used Monday– Thursday it becomes buy one get one free. I guess I cant complain too much since my meal only came out to be $ 2.50 then. Their sides have gone downhill. The mashed potatoes barely had any gravy and the mac and cheese had an odd curdling of the cheese. However, the corn looks like it was steroid injected because the kernals are huge. Biscuits: Still buttery but not as flakey as before. At least they gave me plenty of honey Service: The staff isnt bad. It’s fast food what do you expect Come back again? Only if I have a really good coupon and I’m sticking to their extra crunchy regular pieces from now on with the bone

A KFC with a drive-thru? Now I can get my original recipe grub on without even getting out of my car. Screw you fat burning activity. The food here is sometimes hit or miss and is it just me or do their drumsticks get smaller every time I go? I swear, not only do they get smaller but they are giving me less and less. I might have gotten 1 or 2 the last time I went. Stop being so stingy, KFC.

I can’t believe I’ll ever say it, but I had the $ 10 bucket of fried chicken and I thought it would be heavenly. Needless to say it was the worst ever! I think I got a bad batch, but the current and aftermath of this trip has made me swear never to go to KFC again at least for a little while. The workers were really nice and a pleasant experience. Chicken, however, wrecked havoc and the scent it made me emit would keep anyone away from KFC!

When I lived back in the UKKFC was a staple to our diet at least once a week. However, I have noticed that they are few and far between in San Diego, and well, that is to be expected when there is a million and one(slightly less but not by much) places to go and eat, many of which are better than KFC. However, when you have been eating something on a regularish basis and then you dont have it, well, you miss it and crave it. Could possibly be a slight bit of homesickness too? Anyway, we were en route to a party(which was catered, but we were unsure what time it would be served) and were popping into a store right by here(to be reviewed shortly) so of course given that it was the first one we had actually been right by we had to stop in. For me, part of the experience of KFC is the smell. I was a vegetarian for a year many years ago… yet the smell of KFC I always loved. In fact KFC was what I had the day I stopped being a vegetarian!!! We walked in. So many more options than at home… grilled chicken, extra crispy or the regular. Hubby and I shared a two piece meal, it hit the right spot, the service was good and the place was clean. It helped feed the craving and we havent craved it since. It was really good for KFC but have had better food so its not a 5 star!

Didnt screw our BIG order up! Friendly clerk at the counter who took our order and money. Another rarity! By far the best location I have been to for KFC. 4⁄5 because its a little high priced(not this locations fault, a kfc fault) — it costs us $ 35 to feed a family of 4 here, where as its only about $ 25 at a typical fast food joint. Price besides, when we want chicken and a correct order, best believe we’ll return here!

Since early this week, millions of people have been flocking to KFC’s nationwide to unthink the brand and get a taste of their latest offering, the KGC(Kentucky Grilled Chicken). Lines have been absolutely insane at local locations with waits sometimes in excess of 2 hours. It’s amazing how little it seems peoples’ time is worth and what people are willing to do for a few pieces of the Colonel’s special spices. After hearing about how long the wait would be during the afternoon rush, I decided to bounce and try my luck again later that evening. When I returned just before closing, there was no wait at all and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Not being able to bear the shame of just ordering the free stuff, I decided to accompany my chicken with some dessert in the form of their apple pies. The chicken itself was well seasoned but both pieces were very small. While the meal may have been free(and I shouldn’t be complaining), it was supposed to be representative of the actual paid meal. If that was the case, it really wasn’t that great. It was a complete meal however, and came with mashed potatoes and cole slaw as well as a biscuit. The apple pies were a bit too oil for my taste, but they were a nice conclusion to the tasty, grilled chicken. I’m not sure if this promotion will convince people to make the switch from fried to grilled chicken, but what I am sure of is that KFC won’t be selling any chicken for at least 2 weeks, the duration of this promotion. Get there early or get there late, because that’s going to be the only available times you’ll be able to get some free grub with a reasonable wait time.
