I just got reminded why I don’t go to McDonald’s. Gum in the container of my french fries container, and a piece of unidentified wrapper in my fish sandwich. …not a toy in sight in the kid’s meal… but a cheap book, why bother asking if it’s for a boy/girl? I hate this place.

This is an awesome McDonalds. Great location right off the 805⁄5 freeway split. They are always super friendly and I love that. When I cruise by and pick up my soft serve and soda after an event, this is what picks me up after a crazy day.

I have worked in the area for almost 13 years. I have to say, I have never met a more friendly staff. There is one older Asian lady who is just so sweet and always has a smile. However, recently I have noticed they have hired a few new female and one male staff members who just aren’t very outgoing or friendly. No smiles, no eye contact, no have a good day. I worked in the fast food industry for 3 years prior to my recent career so I have been on both ends. A little effort goes a long way.

AWFUL! First, during a busy lunchtime, there is a line of cars, and when you finally get to the speaker, you’re told«we’re accepting cash only is that OK?»…good thing I had cash, but what if I hadn’t? I was sitting in line for about 10 minutes until I finally got up to order and THEN I find that out??? Plus, if I didn’t have cash, there were 3 cars ahead of me blocking me, so if I had to leave it was going to be another 5 minutes! So I get up to the gal who took my order, and started telling her that the manager should post a sign and/or get an employee out in the drive-thru line to tell customers about the«cash only» thing BEFORE they get stuck in line. I was half-way through explaining this to her when she cut me off with a «I’m sorry sir», like a robot. She didn’t care in the least. I started explaining it again, I got another interruption with a «I’m sorry sir»(as if the«I’m sorry sir» is supposed to make her interruption seem customer-friendly???). Basically, she told me to F-off. So I pay, get up to the window to get my food — I had ordered my sandwich minus pickles(as I have a violent allergic reaction to them). I asked the girl who handed over the food if there were no pickles on the sandwich, she looked at the paper and said«no»(obviously, the printed ticket is the final authority, forget about asking the guy who made the sandwich). I open the sandwich and guess what was there? Pickles. I showed them to the girl, she uttered the company mantra«I’m sorry sir». That was it, just an «I’m sorry sir». I’m getting to think that in the McDonald’s dictionary, «I’m sorry sir» means«F-You»… I mean I know it’s McDonalds, none of us can expect superior service or quality food, but jeeeeesh, I thought they might have hired some people who freakin’ CARE…

My dad wanted a Mcmuffin for breakfast while in the hospital, so I ordered myself a Mcgriddle, no cheese. When I opened the samdwich, it was a biscuit! At least they got the no cheese correct. Will not return to this location.

After the years we have lived in the area, this was actually the first time I stepped foot inside this McDs. I’ve used their drive thru a few times, but never had the time to go in. I came for an event and to also«build my own burger». YESPLEASE! This place gets packed at lunch with Qualcomm and other local businesses, so come earlier or later to avoid the lunch rush. I opted for the pico guac burger but without the bun. They accommodated with a lettuce wrap. The melted cheese had a really good flavor to my burger and the guac had a bit of a kick to it. I likey!!! The staff is friendly and parking can be a bit on the scarce side. I’m impressed that they have Diet Dr. Pepper as a fountain drink. FTW!!!

So, I work about 7 minutes from the food court this mcdonalds is located in, but I only occasionally come here to buy food. I came here on a Friday at 10:30 am through the drive through, right when they were beginning lunch. The person that took my order was friendly and got my order correct, however I wasn’t told my total at the drive through screen. The experience I had with the person at the pay window was less than par. They had just switched the order taker and pay point person out, so this woman was taking another person’s order as well as cashing me out. I asked her what my total was before she swiped it, and instead of giving her attention to the customer who was in front of her, she finished out this persons(long) order before letting me pay. A point to her for not swiping before answering my question about the total, but I have always been taught in all my customer service ventures that the customer physically in front of you is the most important customer in that moment. When I got to the last window, the woman there was very exuberant and friendly and she had my order ready for me the second I pulled up. We wished each other a happy weekend and I went about my way. All in all, a very quick visit, with a mix match of customer service quality. I had ordered 2 mcdoubles, a med fry, and a med classic lemonade, and the quality of the food was a much different story. The way they were bagged was 1 burger on the bottom, the fry on its side on top of the burger, and the last burger on top of the fry. Very odd, and it smooshed the burger on the bottom a bit. I hate pickles and this location is always great about putting the double checked sticker on it and actually leaving the pickles off. The burgers weren’t as hot as they normally are, but otherwise what you would expect. The fries weren’t as hot as normal either, and they were a bit rubbery for my liking, not the usual crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I was disappointed, and wished I had taken the extra effort to ask for them fresh. The lemonade… was gross. I had heard that they recently made the switch to real lemonade, and wanted to try it out, who doesn’t love a nice cold glass of refreshing lemonade? No, they are still messing their lemonade game up. I took a sip and while it looks like lemonade and kind of tastes lemony, the dominating flavor and after taste reminded me of a creamsicle. I even had a coworker try it to see if it was just me… no its not just me. It’s was very weird, and for a «classic lemonade», it was offputting. On top of that, I hate creamsicles to begin with, so I couldn’t even finish the drink that I paid for. All in all, they have a sweet older lady who delivers awesome customer service, they have quick service, even when the line is long and stretched out, you get through in 5 minutes, but the food quality is compromised greatly in their quickness efforts. Also, a total miss on the lemonade. I am not a fan of it and I’m unsure how you can get real lemonade wrong?

Nicely remodeled location. The Deluxe Breakfast platter, under 5 bucks, is probably the best, quick, fast-food breakfast around. It may not be the healthiest, but it has the best tasting pancakes. The McD staff should learn not to put the sausage patty on the pancake on To Go orders; it is ok to put it on the egg or the English muffin. They have given me broken pieces of the bacon strips; they can’t do that and think they can get away with it. Also, pack the platter flat in the bag so that the food items don’t slide all over one another when moved. That’s why I prefer the other McD location in the middle of Mira Mesa Blvd and not this one near I-805 when I am in the general vicinity.

I was in and out during a busy lunch hour and I can’t report any major problems. I know this food isn’t good for me, but I had 30 minutes to drive /eat. Who doesn’t love their fries, nuggets, and big macs?!

I was in the area staying at the CountryInn on Lusk. Went through drive thru to get my 2 kids foods. Was surprised that there’s happy hour on the frappé. Originally ordered 2 medium but guy at pay window said it’s BOGO free. So I up to 2 large for only 50¢ more. Went back to hotel and my kids said there were only 2 mcchicken sandwiches and not 3 that was paid for. The 2 large fries do not taste crisy or hot. They look like been sitting there too long so don’t taste great.

Typically, I don’t enjoy eating at McDonalds. It’s rare you’ll see me check-in there. However, in the morning, sometimes it’s just nice to grab an Egg McMuffin and Iced Coffee. Lost one star because my McMuffins didn’t seem as hot as usual.

I don’t know what it is about the restaurants in this area but it hard to get them to even take your order. The MANAGER did not even recognized that I was standing there. After awhile I just left. I can’t spend my lunch breaks watching mcdonalds employees.

Came here for breakfast a lot when I stayed at a hotel in the area. I like this place. Its clean and not overcrowded. Staff seemed pretty friendly every morning. Generally speaking the Qualcomm dominated area is pretty nice and clean, so this Mc D’s fits right in.

Early morning meet up :) open new years day! CoFFEE… starbucks waas closed. I’m sooo glad this place is here for that. So despite the less than stellar healthiness of the food they serve. I gotta love that it affords us a great meetup location and breakfast coffee and such.

How are you suppose to rate a McDonalds? Being that it was nearby to work, I came here for lunch. I got a spicy chicken sandwich and fries. The spicy chicken sandwich was surprisingly really good! The chicken was moist and was actually spicy. I wished it had a tad more veggies though even if it is just cheap lettuce. The fries are okay. I added a little(okay, a lot… I’m an addict) of black pepper and they were good to go. Crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside and a pinch of salt. Overall, this is a pretty nice one. And there’s also plenty of outdoor seating, which is nice.

This is the closest McDonald’s to my work, so I come by sometimes when I need food to quickly come through the drive thru. I hate that they don’t serve lunch until 10:30, but that’s not their fault. It’s mine for having such an early shift, which makes my lunch at 9:30. I get the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle meal with hash browns, and a botle of water. No complaints from me here. They always get my order correct, and it always come out the window quickly. They have the 20 nuggets for $ 10, by the way.

What can I say? It’s a McDonald’s. If you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. They’ve only messed up the orders a couple times so that’s a plus? I guess? One thing that’s different here is you can add flavored syrup to your Spirte. Actually pretty cool. Sometimes you just don’t want to taste plain old Sprite, ya know what I’m sayin’? Anyway, I’ve been coming here more often because of that Living Social coupon. That’s going to be the death of me.

After an evening of nearly no sleep in preparation for a day trip to Disneyland, my mind and body needed a pick me up in the form of a McCafe coffee from McDonald’s. The one nearest was next to the highway so we decided to stop by for some coffee and grub to get ourselves going on the day. There was a special on sausage McMuffins with egg so we got a pair of those with our coffee. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with the sandwiches and try really hit the spot. However, both of our coffees were terrible. My friend’s cappuccino was horribly watery and my hazelnut iced coffee was so under filled that there was nearly an inch of lip on the untouched cup. I found it too much of a hassle to complain about it there since we were on a very tight time table, so we took off and headed toward happier places. In fact, it would be toward the«happiest place on Earth». My only other experience with this McDonald’s was having to sue them over an accident where a ceiling tile fell on me and dumped a half gallon of water on my laptop, essentially destroying it. While the staff was helpful back then, this particular visit was less than satisfactory. Fool me twice, shame on me. I definitely won’t be back. Food: 5⁄10 Service: 4⁄10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 5⁄10
