The guys here at Mission Electronics do top notch work on stereo, computer, DVD and VCR repair. They have fair and honest prices, and they will not BS you on an estimate. The reason I am writing this review is because of my favorite bed side lamp; it was broken. I brought it in here to get fixed since I did not know if there were any good electrician shops around and I had had great experience with these guys on other repairs. The guy sitting at the workbench told me that he was not sure what I could do with my bed side lamp, but he would take a look at it and do the best he could. He is a true old timer Navy Vet who has a bit of a foul mouth, but knows his stuff and has good stories.
He opened the base of the lamp up, and tinkered around for about 15 minute, until he found the problem. It was a bad wire from the factory that had been incorrectly soldered and broke free. He fixed it and made the lamp look like new. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said just give him $ 20 and call it a day. Considering that this was a great lamp, even though I could have gotten a new one for about the same price, it is one less piece of junk in a land fill. The place is out of the way, a bit dusty and definitely old school and non-​PC. However, they do great work for a fair price and they get your out the door so you can go one with your life.
