Really confused by all the 4– and 5– star ratings. This pizza is mediocre at best; mostly disappointing. Nice people behind the counter but the ordering process is more complicated than it needs to be. Wont be returning.

Had the pepperoni and the truffle porcini. The crust was fluffy and crispy, the flavor authentic… a must have.

Great location in Little Italy and nice wrap around outdoor patio for people watching. Not sure this is very ‘authentic’ Italian cuisine, but the pizza is very good, albeit a bit pricey. Still though, very fresh ingredients and a good lunch. Plus, eating ‘al-fresco’ is fun in little Italy.

I was worried when they said parking is very limited, however, I had no trouble finding parking. Of course it wasn’t right in front of this place but just a short street down. So many places to see, you enjoy the walk. ANYWAYS, pizza was really good. Friendly staff. Def coming again.

Little Italy is one of the most expensive and whitest neighborhoods of San Diego… renting a 1 bedroom apartment will easily cost you $ 1700−3000+/month! Everything here tends to cost more… including the pizza. Napizza’s square slices go for $ 3.50 for a plain cheese slice(aka«Margherita» in Elite-talk) and jump up to $ 5.75 for the exquisite and tasty Truffle Mushroom. As a Mushroom and Truffle whore, I really enjoyed this one, despite the high price. $ 4.75 for the sausage and pepper slice, which was also pretty good. The 72 hour process for the unique dough is a totally different taste and texture, which I enjoyed but wouldn’t say its better or worse, just a personal preference. I’m not 100% sure though that cost-yummy ratio is quite worth the higher prices than Landini’s, Brooklyn, or Luigi, but it is good. Maybe I just need to be one of the 6 figure high rollers whom live around here… or a trust fund kid. 1 slice is probably enough for the average local anorexic female gold digging succubus, 2 slices for an average human, or 3 slices for fatties like me, though I’m trying lose a few pounds of my love handles, so I just had 2 this time… I’ll be back!

I only had their cup of tiramisu($ 4). Although they used real ladyfinger cookies, they definitely cut some corners with the filling: it’s supposed to be a light, airy marscapone/yolk/whipped cream mixture, but it was actually more of a mass-produced custard. That being said, the overall flavor was ok, the price was reasonable, and I’m sure some people wouldn’t know or notice the difference, but if you’re looking for an authentic recipe, this is not it.

Napizza has become one of my top places to get pizza. I love their unique selections and the flavor profiles that are offered here. There’s really something for everyone here from meat lovers, vegetarians, and people looking for gluten-free options. The location is sublime right in the heart of Little Italy. The last time I was here, my boyfriend and I made a quick stop before heading to the airport for lunch. We ordered the Italian panini, breakfast pizza, and pollo e pesto pizza. Total came out to be about $ 27. A bit pricy for lunch, but it’s okay to indulge every once in a while. The Italian panini was light and crispy. Every bite was perfect. But I especially recommend the pollo e pesto pizza. Crust was perfect and the toppings were just right. This is my stop every time I’m in the area!

Coming from an Italian girl that grew up in Italy, «è delizioso!» They blend Italian dishes and pizza with an American twist, but it is soooo good here. So many options, but I usually get the Italian Panini with a Mexican Coke. The people are very friendly and the prices are good. One of my go-to spots for local Italian! I highly recommend :)

I’m probably only in San Diego 2 days a month for«work,» and in that brief time I am there I never miss an opportunity to stop by Napizza. The nutella pizza and the canoli are reason alone to make the small detour here. The food is great; whether I’m in the mood for a quick pizza and salad combo at lunch, or a more filling panini and beer at the end of the day, Napizza is a MUST in my bi-monthly SD visit. Easy parking, the staff is very cool, and great customer service! I wish they would open a location in LA so I wouldn’t have any more excuses to visit my sidechick in San Diego(JK!)

Discovered this place while we were attending the Little Itaty Tree lighting, having not been here before we thought we would give it a try. The order process is complicated, you have to mark you order down on a paper menu and then hand it to the cashier who rings you up, meanwhile theres a long line behind you who are also eager to place their order. FYI A whole pie shouldnt be charged by the slice $ 80 for a whole pie(told we had to order 12 slices) and 4 bottles of beers? thats just not right. Over priced, over rated, and the pizza sits in front of you in a display case so its not cooked fresh for you. I dont see us coming back here anytime soon

3.5 maybe 3.75 stars. Food is pretty good and they have a nice selection of pizza slices to choose from. Staff is friendly. Pretty cool vibe inside. Like some other reviews, it is a little pricey. Now and then it is ok but I do not think I would eat here everyday.

I was very impressed! Delicious delicious pizza!!! I went in my lunch hour and although they were pretty busy, my friend and I were able to find a table inside. They have a beautiful selection of pizza’s. They have a lunch special of one pizza slice(they cut it in half for you as well) salad and a drink for $ 10. Now, I do think this is pretty pricy BUT the quality of the food is beyond spectacular. After my first bite, the price didn’t bother me anymore! The pizza crust is so good, and had the perfect crunch to it. The salad was all dark greens, very fresh and a generous portion. I loved how they didn’t serve mainstream sodas as well. Service was fast and friendly. I asked the gentleman behind the counter to recommend his favorite pizza since I couldn’t choose! We’re already planning another lunch date to go back… this is most def a spot that you will want to return to.

I have mix feelings about this place… I will give it 3.5 Stars… The Plus: Mexican Coke was awesome. Not to sweet but perfect. The root beer was also delicious. Not to much carbon. A little sweet also. The service was spectacular. Was nice enough to deliver or give us free refill on our drinks… The pizza was good. It has a nice crisp to it. My personal favorite was the Bapo. It has Potatoes and Bacon on a Pizza. Boom explosion in your mouth. Also had the classic pepperoni with some arugla. It was nothing special. My major complaint has to be the price. Its pretty expensive. I wouldn’t mind paying for the food if it was to die for. There nothing special about this place. I expected better pizza for being in the heart of little Italy. If they will just lower there prices… I had order 4 slices and 2 fountain drink. It came out to around $ 23 bucks… You be the judge…

Napizza… is so good. He only thing that is a little high is the price point but it is delicious. I love the chefs daily special. Come hungry cause the pieces are hearty and there are so many kinds to try. If you can share with someone cause you will not want just one piece. Their beer section could be expanded a little but the salads look great too. If you are around for lunch the specials are cheap for what you get. Napizza is a perfect start or end to an evening in Little Italy.

Whenever the wife and I are within 2 or 3 stops along the green line route and need a quick lunch, Napizza is always at the top of our list. First off, it’s crazy affordable. Second off, it’s delicious. Two fairly large slices and a drink for a lunch is the way to go. Or if you’re like me and about to head down to Ballast Point and Bottlecraft, you can have two slices with a beer instead! Because they always keep a couple taps of the local stuff flowing. The staff here and the manager are always super friendly and able to walk you through the different slices available that day and whatnot. Even if there’s a bit of a line, it’ll breeze by super fast, and you’ll be able to enjoy your pizza lunch on the patio and enjoy that San Diego ocean air through Little Italy.

My coworker took me out for lunch here today, and I was told that Napizza had«really yummy stuff», and of course I’m not opposed to really yummy stuff. It is walking distance from our office, which is a plus, so we began our walk to this yummy place. It’s very quaint and small with an outdoor seating area, which is where we picked our seat. As you walk in, you’re greeted not only by the nice employees but also by a view of all the pizzas and sandwiches your heart could choose from. They offer differ combos if you want to get soup, salad, drink, etc with your main meal, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Although I had my heart set on trying the Italia panini, the cashier suggested I try the ahi tuna salad since I was intrigued by they’re salad selection. The salad came with a piece of herb seasoned and toasted pita and a decent amount of ahi. It was dressed very lightly and garnished with black sesame seeds and sprouts. I also enjoyed the pickled ginger as well as the bits of avocado and I felt that all the flavor a combined pair really well with the greens. To drink, I got a «mexicane cola», which reminded me of bottled Mexi-Coke. The perfect pairing with in salad! I definitely can’t wait to come back and try everything else! This spot is definitely now a favorite of mine.

I really only have come here for the pizza. Slices range from $ 3 to $ 5.75, so they are not exactly inexpensive, but their differentiating factor is their pizza dough. They make it in-house and allow it to rise for up to 72 hours. I typically go here for the margherita or the breakfast pizza. One of my fav lazy Saturday morning activities is to come here and have sangria and breakfast pizza on the patio. I have also tried the bolognese and the BaPo. I liked the bolognese and want to try it again, but the first time it was a little too greasy for my liking. The BaPo(which is bacon and potato among other things) is ok, but my favorite of that type of pizza is by far at Basic. They also have salads, panini, dessert, and a soup of the day.

What a wonderful neighborhood gem! I’d seen friends post about this restaurant and finally got the chance to try it on an afternoon trip to Hillcrest. The pizza was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I both got the Happy Beer Belly combo that included two(large) slices of pizza and a beer. I tried the gluten free meat pizza and the parmigiana. The gluten free pizza was great! I was skeptical because gluten free can be hard to pull off but their gluten free crust tasted just as good as the regular crust. It was thin and crispy and absolutely delicious. The parmigiana pizza was also really good. It was the perfect combination of eggplant parm and pizza! Napizza also has great outdoor patio seating, perfect for a nice sunny afternoon! Yum!
