ordered 2 pizzas at 2:30 on a Saturday it took 1.5 hours for delivery and pizzas were cold. The service can’t get any worse no matter how good the pizza is. NYG Pizza is losing my business

I tried deliver through Unilocal’s Eat 24 app and received delivery from a friendly driver and quicker than anticipated. The pizza tasted great the next morning from the fridge and the garlic bread was homestyle, from an actual loaf of bread. I would order again.

Placed an order for carry out a few weeks ago around 8 PM. I ordered a «giant» size with garlic chicken, jalapeño and mushroom. While the price was reasonable, the pizza wasn’t all that great. The chicken taste like it was frozen. and then thrown into the microwave type of chicken. There was no garlic flavor to it at all. The service was good but based on the food quality I will not be returning. :(

I ordered a pepperoni pizza at 8:30 on Saturday. I was told it would be 30 – 40 min. It took 50 minutes to be delivered and was cold. Furthermore, it was cheese, not pepperoni. The guy I ordered with stated I had to pay cash because their credit card machine was closed for the night. So I don’t have a record of the transaction… I just want my money back… But they are close now and I can’t leave a message. If I get my money back, I am happy to remove my review.

Easily one of the best pies in SD. It’s just that they are inconsistent. Most times they are good. Sometimes the pies are amazing (see pic of crust I had a few weeks ago). Assuming they use same dough recipe and oven, can not say why the crust is so varied from week to week. I have lived in NYC and New Haven, CT, two cities known for the best thin crust pies in the country. Trust me when I say when these guys have their «A «game, they can hang with those boys.

Huge pizzas and quite yummy. Not the best pizza, but in the area, it’s a great option.
Very friendly staff and quick turn around when picking up. Delivery times can be slow on busier days.

I’m from Los Angeles and we came to San Diego to visit the Safari Park and SeaWorld and stayed at a hotel nearby. I used maps to find this local favorite.
I ordered it and the guy said it would take about an hour, I felt that was a bit much but it literally did take an hour… I was a little disappointed up until I tasted it… Freaking amazing. This pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had. They also brought us plates, cheese, and red pepper without even asking. A+

Ginormous gigantic cheesy yummy goodness. Their largest pie is 28″ Never disappoints. The staff is always pleasant even on a busy Friday night.

If it was possible to give them 0 stars I would. I ordered a slice to go and waited almost 15 minutes only for the guy to serve his friends that came in after me and to be told they had to make a new pizza for me to get a slice and I would need to wait at least another 5 minutes. HORRIBLE customer service. Don’t bother going if you don’t know someone that works there, chances are you won’t get your food.

I ordered the combo one slice, pizza and soda all under $ 5. The slice was enormous and thin sliced the way I like it. It was greasy but nothing a napkin couldn’t fix. I got mushrooms on top and they were okay. The cashier was really friendly. He asked me how my Thanksgiving was & told me about his. They were pretty quick delivering since I was eating it there. All and all I would go back for a slice.

Ordered through grub hub which was the best part of the experience. Ordered gyros plate which on website says it comes with salad and garlic bread and cheesecake. What I got was one very anemic looking dry gyro with almost no meat that wasn’t even hot although the restaurant is less than a mile from my house, a warm wilted salad, no garlic bread and no cheesecake. Called grub hub and they were great immediately giving me a refund for the missing items. Won’t be recommending this place to anyone sad because it’s so close to the house.

Hands down the best carry out/​delivery pizza in San Diego. As a native San Diegan, I’ve been a loyal customer for over a decade at both their Mira Mesa and PQ locations. No one beats their crisp freshly baked pizza dough and mouth watering cheese/​toppings. It’s family-​owned and they emphasize quality and great customer service.
My favorite deal is their 2, 14-​inch large pizzas with two toppings on each for 20.99.

Love pizza, love this place. I’ve been living in PQ for almost 2 years and I only regret not coming here sooner. This place is much classier than the other giant pizza shop I frequent (who menu/​prices constantly change). The clerk was friendly and 2 giant slices and a soda for $ 6 is a great deal.
