We order from On A Roll for work lunches and they always prepare these delicious boxed lunches that are easy to serve and very filling. I love ordering from here!

I’ve had positive experiences with On A Roll Catering, so I couldn’t wait to actually try the sit down café. Every day they have multiple specials. For me I chose the Thai wrap special which included chips and a cookie for like 7.50. For one dollar more you get a fountain drink. Great deal. While the Thai wrap was just okay, I would be very interested trying their other options. They all sounded great. — If you need to park, park across the street at UTC and walk over. — The chocolate cookie I had, I think it was some s’mores cookie. Yum. — Tazo iced tea. — Great option for corporate catering.

What a great experience! It is very rare that you find such personal, and attentive employees in a café environment. I will be back!

This is a review for On a Roll at the NE corner of Towne Center Drive and La Jolla Village Drive. I’m thinking of the lunch counter in the bank building. I’ve been to this particular On a Roll several times; most recently, I had a Thai chicken wrap($ 6.95) for lunch. The price is right, and the taste is good. The main problem is getting there: if you don’t work in the bank building or very nearby, you’ll find yourself trying to drive to and from the building and thereby having to wake a certain number of U-turns and deal with parking. We parked on the roof in a short-term spot. Parking is actually free if you get your meal to go and don’t hang around for more than a few minutes. The quality/price ratio is sufficiently high that I’d ordinarily award four stars to this lunch place. Its inaccessibility makes repeat visits problematic for me.

Today was my time visiting On a Roll. I am new to the building where they are located and had a nice experience today. Melvin helped me out with my morning Grande Triple Espresso Latte to get me buzz on(they serve Starbucks coffees) and also informed me that they offer a Treat Receipt, like Starbucks. Just $ 2.00 for Iced Espresso Drinks after 2pm — very cool! Already looking forward to my afternoon pick me up. I will go back tomorrow and try out there sandwiches. Melvin told me they bake there own breads, so looking forward to lunch time.

This 1 star is for the food, ANDONLYTHEFOOD. Unless you work in the same building as this deli, its a nightmare to get to. You have to pay for parking, after 20mins– so this is no sit down & enjoy your food joint, park your car in a lot then walk up a walk way to get to it. When I got there…(ordered off grub hub) They made my sandwich wrong. TWICE. I asked for a salad instead of soup & they gave me the WRONGDRESSING. Their ‘pesto’ chicken sandwich is a mediocre excuse of pesto. Tastes more like deli mustard. Their ‘sliced roasted chicken’ is turkey. Tastes like turkey, looks like turkey, its turkey. I asked for no onions and lite tomato, I get onions and tomato. While this place is well put together, their staff and team communication is seriously lacking and a disgrace to delis and their owners. Even after all this trouble, they couldn’t even muster up decent customer service. A pathetic ‘sorry’ *giggles* *smiles* and thats it. Maybe they should focus more on their services instead of promoting Starbucks. At least offer a drink or cookie for getting my food wrong & making me wait for a pre-made pick up order!!!

Friendly staff and they really try hard to remember the names of frequent customers. I’ve tried almost all of the sandwiches and I must say the the quality is worth the price. Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, they have something good for you to try. As for favorites/recommendations, it’s a tie between the Artichoke & Smoked Turkey Melt and the Smoked Turkey & Gouda from the lunch menu and the Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich with Sausage. +1 for Starbucks drinks too.

Breakfast here is really cheap. When I say cheap I mean in price. Where else can you get pancakes, scrambled eggs & bacon for $ 5. I can even get my gourmet coffee here just like Starbucks.

Going to give 4 stars but with some caveats. The quality was very good. Fresh ingredients. Very nice staff. Place was clean and inviting. I was hoping for more out of their bread since the reviews of the La Jolla location raved about it. It was fresh but did not have a ton of flavor(white roll). They also forgot the lettuce and tomato on my sandwich which was disappointing but I chalk it up to being a new location with new employees. My major complaint was the amount of meat they put in the sandwich. Add some more and it would be excellent. But again, the quality was excellent.

This review is slightly biased because I work in the same building and the convenience factor does warrant an entire star on its own. That being said, this place does serve quality food and drinks for pretty much market pricing for the area. Very fresh ingredients and they use Starbucks for the hot and cold drinks. Very friendly staff and LCD panels for menus. I’ve had the Thai Chicken Wrap, BLT sandwich, and various chais and lattes. All were made to order and fresh tasting, although the bread is tooo soft for me, personally. Look forward to trying other stuff on the meu. I’ll be back.
