Pazzo’s Pizza

Ordered just one pizza and a salad. Pazzos lost the order. Called me to include extra breadsticks because of how long I was waiting. 2 hours later the food finally arrived only to have received the wrong order. I had to drive down to the store to getting my money back plus the food I originally ordered. While waiting I overheard multiple calls from customers regarding the whereabouts of their order. I recommend anyone to pick up their order in store. The only thing that saved my experience with Pazzos was that the food was decent. Not good, not bad.

The bbq chicken pizza is AMAZING! my husband got the small calzone and said it was superb and he had leftovers. The garlic bread is excellent with the marinara! Jalepeno poppers were on point as well. I don’t think there’s a bad thing on the menu! Will definitely come back here as its very affordable too! Service was A+!

Love love love this place!!! It’s our go-​to late lunch or dinner local hang-​out for pasta and margarita pizza. Good prices. Friendly staff. Great food!

I order lunch for our entire office, which is about 50 – 60 employees. I just discovered Pazzo’s a few months ago. We have ordered twice from them and they are amazing! I love their pizzas because they are different and delicious! Esp, their spicy pesto chicken or their pesto shrimp!
Don who has helped me on both orders, gave very helpful and yummy suggestions. He guides me through all the options and is very patient with what we need. Most importantly he helps me stay under budget but still have enough food for the entire office.
They also deliver on time and is never late!!! Definitely our new go to pizza place. Way better than Fillipi’s!

This place is horrible. I called told lady I had a coupon I ordered a couple other items and she gave me my total of over 40 dollars. I called back immediately and asked why my total was so high with the coupon a woman tells me they don’t take this coupon anymore…(coupon had no expiration date), I was upset at my total and told her the other lady never told me I couldn’t use my coupon. Personally I didn’t want that food without the coupon because it was too much. She told me it was already in the oven. I was very upset at this point and asked to talk to manager. The owner seemed annoyed that I called questioning my bill, told me all the prices were wrong in their menu and that they are trying to update everything. I asked him «why can’t you value my coupon thAt has no expiration date?» and he would not honor my coupon. He basically told me that I talked to the new girl on the phone and said he was having problems with her. He was rude and said that I was calling at a busy time, yet kept talking about the employee and the updates to the system. Personally as an owner I would think that you would try and work with the customer. He basically said he didn’t have time and what did I want? He told me next time I should’ve done this other pizza deal 6 dollars cheaper. I didn’t understand why he couldn’t just apply that deal. I honestly would’ve NEVER ordered from there if I new it was going to be that expensive. The owner did give me a free 2 liter, but who cares I didn’t get anything solved or resolved and he made me feel like I was trying to get a free meal but really I only ordered cause I had a coupon. I will NEVER order from there again. Super u professional owner. The pizza wasn’t that great it was super greasy and their customer service was the WORST! Truly disappointed!

Went back to have the best torpedo ever and I experienced the exact opposite results. It took 30 minutes to get my sub and there was literally two pieces of meat on the sub. All lettuce and bread. I will not be returning.

Everything we’ve had here has been delicious!
I am so happy I found this place.
The sandwiches and pizzas are to die for.
If you’re wanting beer and wine they also have a great selection.

I ordered takeout tonight and it was great! Spaghetti with meat sauce and sausage. Everything was tasty. The sauce is really good. Garlic bread was hot and crunchy. I ordered a large… it’ll be at least two meals for me (and I love leftover spaghetti).
I read other reviews about the wait time, but mine was ready as promised over the phone (20 minutes). Friendly service and good food. Works for me!

Management refused to honor a valid coupon offered. The reason given was that «they changed their mind.»

Service is horrible. Nine out of 10 times they screw up call in orders and food is never ready when they say or it is wrong or they never started it all, resulting in more waiting. One time when they had messed up my order YET AGAIN, and I expressed my frustration, the employee who took my order called me a F*****ing b***ch. Dealing with them is a huge exercise in frustration. Mgmt never seems to try to make things right after they screw up, probably because doing so would bankrupt them with the frequency of screw ups.
The pizza is good but WAY overpriced.

Have to give props for their taking responsibility for the non-​delivery in August and discounting our purchase tonight. We have always loved their «the works» pizza. Their manager and staff were very accommodative today. Kudos.

I ordered wings and a personal pizza. I will say the customer service was great but the food was eh. I only got 6 wings (said 8 – 10 for 1 lb) and they were supposed to be spicy but there was hardly any sauce. They were mild at best and really quite bland. Pizza was good but not great. Overall it was okay.

We used to love Pazzo’s, I don’t know what has happened. The clientel at the bar actually frighten me (my husband over heard a very loud conversation regarding drugs — using them and offering them). Every time we have called in an order for at least the past year, they have told us «20−25 minutes» and EVERY time it has been longer. This last time I waited for approximately ten minutes (after arriving about ten minutes past the quoted pick up time) and while I was waiting no less than three people called in complaining about their delivery order being very late, and one man walked in and complained about being told his pick up time was 20 – 25 minutes and he had been waiting for fifteen minutes on top of those 25 minutes.

Place has great Italian food and good beer and wine. Been here a few times, don’t expect fast or great service.

I absolutely can’t get enough Pazzos. The BBQ Chicken is easily one of the best pizzas in San Diego, if not California.

Great Pizza!!! I’ve been here several times, they have great pizzas, great beers on tap and the cheese steaks kick butt too! Try it out!

My mother-​in-​law ordered a pizza from these guys. They screwed up the order pretty bad; instead of half/​pepperoni, half/​supreme they gave us all veggie. No worries. Everyone makes mistakes and drug use is rampant in the pizza industry.
The real problems started when we called them to inform them of the problem and tried to make it right. Needless to say, we were left with the impression that the management doesn’t care too much about their customers; as the Delivery Dude who dropped off the replacement stated, Management Makes The Rules.
Indeed.
Won’t be eating there or ordering from them at any point in the future.

Our office as in myself ordering for the office — has been ordering from Pazzo’s for about 3 years. Both small lunches for meetings and large lunches for seminars, trainings etc. From salads to the pizza my office refuses to order pizza anywhere else, I have some very specific eaters here and if they are happy I am happy.
Pazzo’s team is amazing, like right now, I am placing an order for 3 large pies and 2 large antipasti salads, I know without hesitation the lunch will be here on time, it will be hot, fresh, tasty and everyone will be happy.
I am giving 4 Stars only because I have not eaten at the restaurant, but the service for delivery orders is 5 Stars!

So apparently, this is much more a take out or delivery place. They have a seating area and a small bar, but there is some confusion when entering. I live down the street and have been wanting to add to my places to eat a nice Italian. I am not looking for a white tablecloth place… but I was hoping to sit down, order some food and beers and have a nice meal. But that was not to be… at least not here.
Starting out…
Two doors, seems like two stations ready to greet you. Wait… the one on the right, she seems totally absorbed in a phone order. Lady in front of me waiting to talk to her. Girl on the left station asks lady to come over to her place. Here, I don’t want to be a dick… so I just follow the lady to the left side. That is where seating is. Ahh… that must be like the restaurant side of things.
Here is where things get a bit surreal.
Lady in front of me apparently had phoned in a pizza and was picking it up. Should have been simple enough. She asks «Can I get a Sculpin IPA also?»
Girl: «You want to drink that here?»
Lady (looking confused now): «No… I want to take it. A bottle?»
Girl walks over to cooler. «What kind do you want?»
Lady…now more confused. «A Sculpin IPA?»
Girl: «We don’t have that in a bottle. Can I get you a Big Eye or something else?»
Lady «okay»
So we wait… not wanting to be a dick again for this transaction to finally complete. Note… we just want to have a seat but I can’t see a «SEAT YOURSELF» sign… or a «PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED» and my experience is that to just walk in and find your own table can be a dick move. So I wait.
Finally. it is our turn. No big deal. We have been standing 4 – 5 minutes now, first on the right… now on the left. But hey, we did not know right?
Girl asks:“What can I do for you?“
Me: «We would like a table»
Girl: «Oh…ok. You can sit anywhere. Did you want to order now?»
Me (my mistake here!): «I really don’t know what I want, can I see a menu and sit down?» See – here I figured this was like other sit down restaurants. But I was wrong. I should have placed my order like in a British pub.
Girl: «Okay… go sit and I will be with you in a minute»
Now keep in mind. THE RESTAURANT SEATING AREA WAS EMPTY. There was a couple at the bar. TWO PEOPLE… just having drinks and watching the TV. We appeared to be her only clientele so this should not be that hard.
We sit at the table and look at the menus. A small pizza, calzone, anitpasta sala, two beers. Done. Then we wait. No silverware on the tables. No water is brought. We wait. About 4 minutes go by. Still no big deal… so they are not efficient.
A family of three comes in. Sits at the bar. She greets them and asks what they want to order. Wine… food. I am now realizing she seems to have forgotten we are here, or maybe everyone just orders at the bar. Girlfriend goes up to bar to place our order.
There was no «Oh…sorry…forgot to come to your table»…just took the order. At this point, we have been waiting 15 minutes more and the beer sounds like it would be good now. And we wait…
She got the wine and sodas for the family that came in after us. Okay. Then we waited more. Phone rang. She went to take a phone order. The place was otherwise empty! We will had no drinks.
We left. Canceled the dinner and drinks. Sorry. The food may be good but I did not get to that point. I went next door to Chile Peppers for Mexican, there service is very good. So at least it was not a total waste. I will not be back to Pazzo’s.
