I purchased a Group-on-type coupon from a friend of mine who had been going to see Susan there. My friend had great results and suggested I give them a try. I first went to see them at the old location, inside a hair salon, and wasn’t really impressed with the surroundings, it was a small room, but I really liked the facial. They have really good prices and I don’t know about you, but I close my eyes and disappear when I’m having a facial treatment. I was really comfortable with the technician and felt very relaxed in her energy. I decided to buy a package deal and now I’m on my third package! Now I go see them at their new digs… It’s nicer than the old place, more private and serene. I love being able to go in and get pampered. I especially like the electronic treatments, and the moisturizing mask. I’ve been told by friends that the texture of my skin is looking better, smoother and more moist looking. I’ve noticed a big difference in the tone as well. The prices are great! They are very kind and sincere. I always have questions about products and they don’t seem to mind me asking. I hope people will give them a try in their new location. My schedule is never the same day to day… so I especially like that I can call them at a moments notice and they always try to fit me in.

Got the recent Groupon and was pleasantly surprised by Bella Elite. Elizabeth my technician was wonderful. She made me feel very comfortable, explained everything very well and really did a great job working on my problem areas: around the mouth and chin and eyes. I will definitely be back. They just moved upstairs to a larger suite and have outside windows. The walls are a little thin, but over all a great experience.

I saw the many negative reviews for this business after I’d already bought my Groupon for this business which has moved and is now called Bella Elite. I tried to keep an open mind. During my facial treatment I noticed that the owner was having a loud conversation in the foyer but tried to ignore it. I mentioned it to the technician who had turned the music up very loud to drown out the noise. I asked her to turn the music down and when I complained about the loud conversation she said there was nothing she could do about it. Let me start by saying I am very familiar with micro facials and have had them before with several different technicians. Without going into exhaustive detail, this facial wasn’t anything like the others I’d had. During much of the facial the technician was giving me a sales pitch of sorts. Did I know that in order to see any kind of benefits at all I needed this many treatments with this certain frequency?(I didn’t listen to her because I make up my own mind about the frequency of whatever service I decide to purchase. I was asking her to treat the area around my eyes and chin and was given reasons this wasn’t possible which I thought was odd. Toward the end of the treatment, the technician treated part of my chin area as a bonus of sorts since they normally add $ 20 to do the chin area which the technician said was a reasonable fee since their prices were so reasonable. Huh? I thought my chin was part of my face. The reason she initially objected to working on my chin and neck when I first askde her was that it was too close to the thyroid and there would be a bad result. Huh? Most microfacials include the chin, neck, and decollatee.(sp). Anyway, as I was getting ready to leave the technician said that I was not a good candidate for microcurrent facials and probably shouldn’t get them any more because the areas I was requesting were areas they couldn’t work on. I had a $ 20 bill ready but after this little lecture I gave her $ 7 in singles I had just in case everything written about this business was true. Too bad. The facial itself wasn’t totally awful. I usually go to the beauty school and there was no examination of my skin to see if there were trouble spots. I got the feeling they have a one size fits all approach and none of the information the other reviewers gave was inaccurate in regard to the facial itself. I’ll be returning to San Diego Microcurrent and Pam Allen. She knows what she’s doing even though she charges more than these folks. Sometimes it pays to pay a little more to be treated by a hygenic, professional technician who know what they’re doing. After getting my scrub with that darn brush I broke out! I scrubbed my face completely about a ½ hour after my facial. It would be one thing if these gals were just odd. But if you combine the loud conversations while treatments are in session, the«facts» that you have to listen to during the treatment, and being informed of which services(parts of my face!) that were not included, I won’t be going back. I went in with an open mind and left sure I would never return to this establishment.

I will never EVER go there again! I want to contact Groupon and get my money back! My favorite part was at the end when she told me «gratuities were accepted.» I thought ‘for what?! A facial I could have done better at home?’ And she had a «student» watching this lame facial to“learn” how to do it!

I too will never purchase a Groupon without first doing a little research. My experience was better than Ann’s in that the woman giving me the facial was very quiet and did her best to create a calming experience. This being said, the women in the waiting room were incredibly loud. Since there were only two women in the waiting room, one of them being an owner, the noise level was inappropriate. The restroom is in another part of the building and it did smell atrocious. This however seems like an issue the building manager needs to address(urgently!) more than the women in this particular company. I share in the concern that the facial itself just wasn’t sanitary. The«facialist» used the Clarisonic facial brush just like Becky stated in her review. I asked the facialist if it was new, and she said that it wasn’t new but had been sanitized. She then pointed to the«sanitizer» in the room. Was it really a sanitizer or merely a microwave??? I really can’t say… I ask the question because the brush smelled a bit moldy, and since I am allergic to mold, alarm bells went off in my head. Eeek! She used Trader Joe’s avocado cream on my face and the same inexpensive mask that I believe sells for about $ 3 in the stores. I will give this woman props for being honest about the cream she used. At least she didn’t claim that it was some expensive cream when in fact it came from TJ’s. Honesty is the best policy, right? It seemed fairly clear that she had limited training at the point when she did try to give me a facial massage. I have enough experience and training of my own to question whether or not this gal has received any formal education. I asked her where she trained and she skirted the issue a bit. I kept trying to see the«skin tightening machine» itself but she kept it covered under a terry cloth towel. My experience has been that licensed aestheticians enjoy sharing information about their products, the technology they use, and information regarding their education, but that was not the case here. Any information this woman did share was very limited. During the treatment I did feel my skin reacting to the machine, I saw lights and felt tapping. Is this what one is supposed to feel during this procedure? I would like to know. Such information ideally would be offered via professionally written documentation regarding the exact machine they actually use on their clients faces and what clients can expect during the procedure. Also information outlining exactly what skin care products they use should be documented. This type of literature should be freely available to clients in the waiting room, or even posted on their web-site. Yes, having a sink and fresh towels in the office and a clean terry cloth robe to change into would have been ideal. The facialist did however cover me with a nice soft warm blanket which was very nice. It does seem like these women are trying to make improvements as they grow their business. My experience was better than Ann and Becky’s, but still, there is definite room for improvement here.

I had the exact experience as Becky A. with one exception; they have moved locations to a business plaza on Murphy Canyon Rd. With this in mind, you will not have hair in your facial from haircut clients, but there is no running water in the office space, the bathroom is in another part of the building and smells atrocious! This was the least relaxing experience of my life! I will never utilize Amazon local deals, Groupon or any other ‘deal’ without looking up the business first on Unilocal! The woman who gave me the facial was so unprofessional as to talk non-stop throughout the entire experience, swearing and giving her political and religious views(which weren’t always different from mine, but this isn’t the place for it!) It is also not the place for the language she used either. She offered me an extension on my deal if I wanted to purchase more facials. Not likely!

These two women are con-artists. BEWARE! I purchased their $ 49 special and got THEWORSEANDUNSANITIZEDFACIALOFMYLIFE! If you get any service from them this is what you can expect. First off, this place is inside a hair salon and the facility is not very clean. When I got there i over heard the facialist tell another hairdresser that she has a lot of hair in her room. She had me waiting until she swept up the hairs… gross. Next, she finally told me to come in and wear this robe that was missing all but two buttons. This is the kind of robe you wear if you were getting your hair done. It smelled so bad, as if it hadn’t been washed in years. Normally facialists would have you wear terry cloth robes. I went with it anyways just to see what would happen next. I guess I did it to humor myself because this place was a joke! Next she tells me she was going to clean my face with the clarisonic brush. I was like«Are you serious? You are going to use the same bristle on my face that you use on other clients»? GROSS! A real facialist would clean your face with their hands using circular motions. Not half ass the job and use the Clarisonic brush. If I wanted to have my face washed that way I could have just bought one from Nordstrom. Next, she tells me she’s going to use this device on my face to make my skin feel more firm. She then pulls out a small, cheap looking device that was battery operated. It looks like something you’d buy from an infomercial«As Seen on TV» or something. She begins to rub this thing on my face and it does nothing but make a beeping noise. TOTALCON-ARTIST I TELLYA! I asked her if it’s even on and she said yes. I just went with it because again I did it for the humor at this point. I couldn’t believe this was even happening. After rubbing this device on my face she puts Trader Joe’s Coconut cooking Oil and rubs it on my face. Then she says she’s going to put a face mask on my face. So I hear her pull out a packet and takes out of it one of those cheap, disposable collagen face masks and puts it on my face then leaves the room for 12 minutes. LOL… I couldn’t believe it. I was in total disbelief. She returned after 13 minutes and pulled off the disposable cheap mask. Then she wiped my face with a hot towel that smelled like perm solution and color. She said«You’re finished» then walked out the room so I could change back in to my clothes. I gave the con-artist $ 49 and walked out. When I got in to my car I noticed 3 short pieces of someone’s hair on my cheek and chin. I couldn’t believe this so called facialist had used a regular towel the hairdressers used on their clients hair on my face!!! DONOTGETANYTHINGDONEATTHISDIRTYPLACE. BEWARE! I GUARANTEEYOUWILLBEVERYDISAPPOINTED.
