This place is in a good location and close to my home, however the food is really bland. I ordered carne asada fries and the fries were soggy. My husband had a surf and turf burrito and he didn’t enjoy his order either. It just didn’t have an authentic taste at all. It was a total waste of money. I went back to the restaurant and was still not satisfied worth my order.

I was close by running an errand, and stopped by for a carne asada burrito. The place was clean, and there were 2 people working there. They had a salsa bar with some carrots. and if you are looking for the little sandwich bags for your carrots, it’s high above the salsa bar, resting on the wooden divider. The salsa bar was small but had 4 different types of spicy salsa: a red one, a dark red one, an orange one, and a green one. I picked the spicy red one. Inside the carne asada burrito was meat, and guacamole. It tasted ok, but I’m not sure if I want to try it again at this place.

Fish tacos are delicious. The fish is breaded & deep fried so crunchy on the outside and tasty on the inside. Service is fast and friendly.

Stopped by to get some quick carne Assad fries before class(yes I was running late too). Was greeted right away, and when I made my order the girl conveniently showed me the difference between the half and full sizes(most places don’t care and just wish you’d hurry up and order). Got my food about five minutes later and just in time to make it before the professor took away the sign in sheet! I did eat my food during class and yes it was still hot and was really good. Only mistake on my part was not taking the time to try out their hot sauce.

Solid quick Mexican food. I get the breakfast burrito and ask them to cut it in half. Enough for two meals. My husband likes their carnitas burrito which includes salsa and guacamole. Always pleasant staff. It’s close to my work so it’s an easy stop on the way in.

This place is a short walking distance from holiday inn. Simple Mexican food but a lot of food. I got the two taco plate. Those are some big tacos. The rice wasn’t great but the tacos and beans were good. For 11 bucks, I got a complete and filling meal with soda. I would go back if I was staying at the hotel.

In the world of above average taco shops, I would estimate that this is one of the better breakfast burritos in the land. The bacon, egg, cheese, potato breakfast burrito is no half-stepping burrito knock off! Consistently well done.

OMG– if you are health conscience don’t eat here! Burritos are badly made with who knows what type of meat! Three of us had burritos and all three of us got sick :(If you have the opportunity walk back to the restroom and see for yourself the lack of cleanliness in the kitchen that is the reflection of their food and how they handle it! You are better off going to jack in the box! Never again! By the way we looked for the«letter» classification outside of window — never found it! Hmmm

There burritos are huge. Absolutely love the shrimp burrito. Tried it for the first time and I’m not a fan of shrimp but it was amazing! Only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars was because there signs in the front door wasn’t what I paid for. I keep going here because it’s near my house and I can feed a hungry person with no problems. Lol

First time here, an interesting experience. There was a Specials board placed just outside the entry door. . What’s this? A «Harley Burrito»? Yep, it’s well-equipped with a flour tortilla, carne asada, bacon, and guacamole. No helmet required. When it arrived, it was the size of my forearm! There were large chucks of carne asada, loads of bacon, and guacamole galore. Delicious, really, but I was unable to finish it. The remainder resides in my fridge for tomorrow’s lunch. It was $ 6.50, but the soda was extra. However, another Special on the board was a rice/beans/entrée combo plate, same price as the Harley, but included the soda. Certainly a good deal. The restaurant itself is downscale from Robertos, so please note the difference in spelling. It is truly bare bones inside, not even a drink dispenser. Bottled drinks are kept in a self-serve refrigerated cabinet near the order window. Sodas run $ 2.25. There was a horchata dispenser behind the order window. A few Mexican condiments were available, but I had a full-time job coping with my Harley. I used the restroom, and it is not easily located, being behind the counter and beyond the kitchen area. It is unmarked, to boot, but an employee pointed the door out to me. On the way, I noticed that the back room of this restaurant was a real mess, very crowded and disorganized. The restroom was surprisingly large and pretty clean, though. Your basic strip-mall Roberto’s knockoff Mexican restaurant. A-OK.

Your typical little strip mall Mexican restaurant. The food fulfills your big greasy burrito craving. I got the California burrito, which was pretty big tasted good. Prices are cheap for what you get.

Came here a second time and went with my more standard order at taco shops: street tacos. I love street tacos. I would not consider these street tacos. They were HUGE(street tacos shouldn’t be). Not very flavorful. I couldn’t even finish them. If you are starving, maybe you might like that element of this taco shop. I personally don’t care for huge servings. I would rather you charge me half the price for an edible portion. These were just really big sloppy piles of meat and guacamole. So sorry. I wanted to like this place better, but it just isn’t that great. It will get you fed. The staff is not particularly friendly in my experience either.

First and last time here. Mexican food is know for it’s «sason» aka seasoning. Unfortunately The food we order was mediocre. Carne Asada had no salt. Salsa bar could have been better. Overall was not completely satisfied. Even with extreme hunger I Didn’t even finish half my burrito.

Second time here. First time great service and good food. Second time here, the lady at the cash register was on the phone. When we asked a question, it seemed like we annoied her. Please excuse me for interrupting your personal phone call when I’m trying to order. No cool!!!

Your meal is made fresh. Immediately upon ordering, they fire it up on the grill. Plenty of tastes to choose from and a friendly staff will keep me coming to this tiny(but tasty) spot.

Delicious!!! Working in the area for the past week and a ½ and have eaten here at least 5 times. The food is great. The meat is cooked when you order. It has delicious flavor. The food is authentic. Very generous portions. Small place and the service is great.

I have pretty much tried all taco shops in san diego. I have to say, this place is my favorite. In all taco shops, I always go for the carne asada fries and/or burrito. I want to taste the difference in the seasoning and cut of the meat. For me, this is what separates one shop from the other. Places like Rudy’s and Lolitas have very good carne asada. There are other places in east side like rigibertos that stands out in flavor. But this place has carne asada that makes me want to come back for more. The seasoning is spot on. I have read some reviews about lacking flavor and what not but I can say, the last 3 times I’ve been here, it has not disappointed. The portions for the carne asada fries are just right. Sure i like to get the most for my money but some taco shops just give way too much carne asada fries(even their half orders are a bit much). I’ve also tried their rolled tacos which were not oily and tasted very good. I normally call ahead to place the order but the service is quick and they seem friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience here. If you dine in, they have several booths and some tables with chairs to sit. It’s clean and well ventilated. The salsa is self serve. They have 2 red sauces and 1 green one all of them are fresh and delicious. It’s located in a strip mall so if you go during the peak hours, you may have a little trouble with parking but nothing to stress over. I highly recommend this place.

Not the best Mexican I’ve had but it does the trick when I’m craving Mexican at lunchtime. It’s close to work, big portions(usually with leftovers), and all the basic options you would want. Guys who work their are always friendly and quick and give you water while you wait :) Could improve their breakfast burrito a bit.
