Luv, luv, luv this place. My favorite things to order are the street tacos(steak), Chipotle ranch salad or burrito especial. #DELICIOUS

For a fast food chain they have some pretty fresh options to choose from and I would probably go here over most similar types of restaurants. The service is usually quick and you can probably find something on the menu you like. If you just want a taco I recommend the fish tacos. I like the bowl options too, but usually I try to go easy on the carbs and lately my go to choice is the chipotle ranch salad with chicken. 4 stars is probably a little strong, but I’m comparing it against other fast food chains and under that logic its justified. The shopping center it is located in has a small parking lot so around lunch time it fills up quickly so i recommend getting there early or late for lunch.

you can never go wrong with a fish taco or fish burrito here! fresh ingredients, good, quick service, and even if there is a line to order, it moves quickly. Their chips and salad selections are great as well.

This Rubio’s location has the best staff. From the manager(I think he’s the manager) to the staff. They are so friendly and help with anything needed. I bring my daughter here and they always help me with the high chair, or anything needed. The little extra, that is appreciated. And I love the shrimp tacos and iced tea!

Great service! In fact, Rubio’s is, in my opinion, the only fast food restaurant that has successfully moved up the chain – real cutlery! Great service, good food, etc. The manager actually walks around to ask if you are happy. There are other Rubio’s restaurants that are equally good – the original one in Pacific Beach and the one on Camino de la Reina. This is about as close as you will get to real Mexican food(if it were just a tad bit cheaper, it would make the decision even easier). We can’t, however, have it all, right?

Love this place. The inside looks amazing and great selection of food. Love the chicken quesadillas. Going to miss it when we move back to the east coast.

Ordered the fish taco trio and was quite underwhelmed. No sides came with the meal and I thought that it was quite pricey for what you got. One of the tacos was good as it came with a big piece of fish on the tortilla but the other two were just meh. Even though it may have been my mistake to order this plate, I dont think I will return to find out. Thumbs down.

Rubio’s is my go to place when I want something fresh, tasty, and delicious! In fact, I may have a slight addiction to their shrimp tacos… The grilled ones with the bacon on it… yum! Not only do they have fantastic food but they have a wide selection of drinks and even beer and wine as well. My new favorite thing to get there is the raspberry lemon seltzer. It only has 10 cal and is just as delicious as soda but without all the guilt. My other favorite are just the good old-fashioned beer battered tacos. They are a classic staple in my Rubio’s diet and they are even better when you cover them in the salsa Fresca and green salsa. They just remodeled all of their restaurants so they are modern and airy. The salsa bar has three different levels of hotness as well as spicy carrots and cilantro and onions and limes. They have chairs and tables outside to you if you want to go out and enjoy the fantastic San Diego weather. Don’t forget to order a churro for dessert!

If you want to grab some fish tacos, Rubios is a good spot for it. Quick, tasty, cheap — grab the two traditional fish taco combo and you’re good to go!

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The workers there were very cheerful and attentive. The food was good for big chain restaurant. I usually order the beer battered fish burrito and it came out great. Overall the experience great.

FOODPOISONING ;( I have become comfortable with this chain restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the food is decent. Unfortunately, this«Taco Tuesday» I was subjected to an unfortunate batch of food poisoning. I had never been trapped in my bathroom for more than 48 hours on my own will until now. I’ve already contacted the store and hope they are able to locate the cause, but until such time… There’s something wrong with the fish tacos, so I recommend eating elsewhere.

These guys actually ran out of rice. It was a very sad day. I orders anyway since it was late. Asked how long it was going to take as I saw a bunch of people waiting for their food. Was told it wouldn’t take long at all. You’d assume with no rice they could make things faster. That was not the case. Took 15 min for a bowl and a quesadilla. Not sure I’ll be back to this Rubios again.

What the heck? Rubio’s is usually a go to for me but today was really off. My food was cold and then I got what looked like a whole plant in my meal instead of greens! I mean there were flowers on this plant. I’m hoping it was just a bad day and it will go back to good service soon! As a side note, budget at least 20 minutes to find a parking spot. The manager did offer to bring me a new tostada in the parking lot or next time I come in.

Rubio’s is one of the closest food place at work and all i can say is that i’m addicted to their California bowl with mahi mahi. Service is fast even at 12 noon and their staff always has this pleasant personality and always get my order right since i’m a «no beans» plus extra«red tomatillo» girl. This location is near Walmart, Fry’s electronics, and other food place so it’s pretty convenient especially being situated beside Starbucks. I recommend this place for your Mexican cravings. Next time i will try their other menu.

I was sorely mad at myself for coming in and ordereing a plate of food. I was hungry and I asked Hubbs does Rubio sound good. He said«yeah, lets go:» So after church conference we drove over. I was excited it has been a long time since coming a Rubio’s. I ordered the Mahi-Mahi with blackbeans and rice. I forgot that the default of the tacos come on corn. So I fogot to order my mahi-mahi on flour tortillas, shame on me. The food was subpar. I felt like I had no taste buds, the flavor was so laxed. It made me sad that I came here. ***one good note was that I bought that reusable cup, it seemed like a nice cup. It was only a dollar more. :(

I love Rubio’s! This is one chain restaurant I will stand for. Their ingredients are fresh and their service in always on point. I hope they keep this thru out their growth in the restaurant world. Great tacos. Some of the best you can find in San Diego and that’s saying something. Maybe one of the coolest things about this chain is the fact they serve beer. How the heck can. U be mad about that? Burritos, chips, tacos, beer and rice bowls.

Rubio’s has been around for a while now, and it was good to learn that they still doing a pretty good job making fish tacos. I had lunch here and ordered the two mahi grilled fish taco combo with black beans tortilla chips and a drink( ). The fish tacos were good and came with plenty of flavorful light mahi mahi( ). I had it blackened to it had a nice exterior layer of spices which came it a slight Cajun appeal( ). Everything else in the tacos was good and I liked the sauce that came with them. I tried their green hot sauce, my favorite of the bunch, on the tacos it just added to all the goodness( ). The black beans were better than what I expected. The were tender, well seasoned, and came with a small pile of cheese nestle right on top.( ) I ate them with the tortilla chips and they did not last long. Nice meal. The girls as the counter were nice and funny. I was impressed with the store manager who was busily cleaning up, asking patrons how their food was, and keeping the salsa bar filled. By the way, this place gets slammed during lunch hour on the weekdays, so keep that in mind.
