This place is awesome. I come here twice a day for a juice, they’re so quick and efficient here. Juice takes only a couple of min compared to everywhere else. The large 32oz juice with tax comes out to a lil over $ 8. Perfect breakfast for me to get me going in the morning.

So good! I walk by here every day & now that I’ve tried it… it will be a new habit! Very friendly staff. I ordered the Mikale Jackson & it was delicious! I’ve tried green juices a lot & they all tasted horrible to me but this was sooooo refreshing :)

So so yummy! I got a strawberry banana smoothie and the cashier, I believe his name was Guy, was super friendly and helpful. He told me some great additions that made the smoothie even better — great service! The acai bowl is awesome too

I love mad beet, they have everything from juices, ginger shots, smoothies, wraps, acai bowls, salads and more. The décor is super hip and up beat with a local artists work on the walls. People that work there are usually friendly and I usually love everything I get here. My minus one star is because I came in to get a wrap in the summer and asked if there was any bell pepper in the wrap because I’m allergic. The guy responded«does it say there’s bell peppers in it?» I said«no…» He responded with«well then it looks like there isn’t any in there» I said okay and got it to go. After getting home I opened the Togo box and there was red bell pepper hummus in the wrap, I found out because I took a bite and spit it out. My allergic reaction wasn’t too bad, just itchy and my tongue felt furry/itchy for the day. I finally went back since and have enjoyed everything I have had since– I just won’t order that wrap again. I’ll stick to everything other then wraps.

It’s place is Amazing, fresh, healthy, but most importantly DELICIOUS! Since I’ve came and tried it, I always ask the staff to recommend something and have never been let down. From the drinks to the food. It’s so good

I popped my acai bowl cherry here. Surprisingly acai bowls are not too popular up in Seattle(considering how freaking crunchy we are up here, guys…) so despite my desperate attempts to jump on the food trend trains I didn’t get to jump on this one until I tried the Beyoncacai bowl here at Mad Beet. People were right, the choices are overwhelming. Fruit bowls, veggie wraps, green smoothie and juices, acai or not was all available and had hilariously clever names. Thank goodness for Unilocal to dictate what I needed to get– acai bowl with banana, honey, peanut butter(!!!) strawberries on top. This truly is what a savvy Unilocaler called«breakfast dessert.» It’s like berry soft serve, only not too sweet and often topped with crunchy granola. My carb loving buns absolutely loved all the fruit in the morning– then to find creamy peanut butter swirled in the middle was truly a lovely treat. A breakfast sundae of sorts! I find myself wishing we had a Mad Beet in Seattle so I could continue to try all the different variations of acai bowls, fruit bowls and smoothies. Vitamin overload-yes please!

Came here on a Wednesday evening with my friend and was overwhelmed with the 100000 different things they have on their menu. The overall ambiance is really cute and hippy and seems like a great place to come and chill. I ordered the«Bananas Foster The People» fruit bowl(half pitaya, half greek yogurt with various fruit toppings and honey). It was decent but nothing special for the ~$ 7 that I paid for it. The fruit was good(but you can’t really go that wrong with fruit), greek yogurt was fine, but the pitaya was OVERLY sweet in my opinion. My friend got the«Twopak Shakur» fruit bowl(half acai, half pitaya with fruit) which was also decent. She also agreed the it was overly sweet. For two people who regularly have sweet tooths but found this overly sweet, it was a bit of a disappointment but three stars overall for the cute and hip atmosphere and cute play on the names.

The Arktik Monkey… all other peanut butter flavored protein shakes bow down. So delicious and creamy with little crunch bits of peanuts. They also have great ambience and really cool staff with quick service; all recipes for a great experience!

First time trying out Mad Beet. It’s awesome! First off, I didn’t know what I was doing. The owner took me aside and broke down the menu for me. His first question, «what are your goals.» When a conversation starts off like that, you know you’re in good hands. I’ll be coming back tomorrow.

Very glad I was finally able to try the mad beet. I had the twopac and it was delicious. Definitely needed the larger size after seeing how small the smaller size is. This bowl had acai and pitaya topped with a bunch of things like granola and honey. Honey is a must. I’ll be back and will probably try just the acai one.

LOVE! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a healthy alternative! Me and one walked past it even with Google maps and had to backtrack a few stores down before we found this place. It’s sign is a lot higher than most places, since it’s a spacious place with high ceiling. Upon entrance, I was intrigued by the different paintings on the wall, in addition to the coloring sheets on the tables and taped to the wall. I also fell in love with their great selection of energizing treats and the music! Oh, and don’t forget the humorous jokes around the store. It’s like a scavenger hunt finding them! I ordered: –116 oz(small) pitayabull(pitaya bowl) //Pitaya, aka dragon fruit, is a beautiful vibrant fruit not so common in the U.S.(Or, at least, it’s expensive stuff.) Fresh fruits, good amount of pitaya and not your typical granola!(It reminds me of rice crackers.) Pros: –Awesome selection! The smoothies LOOK amazingggg! And the bowls are delicious! I can’t wait to try their other items! It’s not a fancy overhyped place, so I love how fast and subtle they are in making great bowls. –Reasonable prices! For the portion size, I was really impressed with how much I got! Definitely a great place to come after a long hike or just for fun! –Good service! The owner(s) are super nice! They are quick to answer questions, and I bet if it was your first time there, you can ask them anything/recommendations! Cons: –A bit too«icy» for me. I wanted to taste the flavor of pitaya, but I felt like I was consuming more ice than anything else. I guess at the same time the fruit is flavorless… so definitely not a negative but something I noticed! Tips/Observations: –They accept Square! They also have their own«Mad Beet» card!(Not exactly sure if it’s a membership system or just a rechargeable gift card.) –Street parking! Good luck, my friends. You’d be better off walking to this location unless you get super lucky and can park a street down. –It would be nice to put a name with my item. It wasn’t heavy traffic, but I don’t know how they will manage if multiple people order a small acai bowl… If I’m craving some healthy recharge, I will definitely come back here again! I feel like I can sit here for ages and not be bothered. It’s like a coffee shop but in a much hippier place!

Their acaiwol nation is so delicious! Best acai place in San Diego! The acai is sweet and thick and not runny like other places. They pack the bowl with granola and fresh strawberries, blueberries and bananas with honey drizzle on top. Simple but perfect. Cons are the parking since its on garnet and cass which is a busy intersection and it’s also a bit pricey for the small size. But will still keep coming back since its so yummy and a healthy snack after a workout sesh.

I am loving this new Mad Beet location, not only because they make some great eats, but they now have more space for sitting and relaxing while you enjoy those eats. Now I did not have anything with some mad beets, but I did rather enjoy an fruit bowl called the«Fruit Parfaith Hill» filled with Greek Non-Fat yogurt, crunchy granola, honey, blueberries, bananas, and strawberries. The fruit bowls was great and I was especially fond of the terrific plain Greek yogurt in the bowl. The yogurt was tangy and creamy. All the berries, including the bananas were all fresh each provided their own unique flavor to the bowl. The honey was a nice touch with its sweetness and the way it adhered onto the crunchy granola. The granola was very good and including natural hemp and a variety of other great grains. The gents in the kitchen were down to earth and had great senses of humor. They also make smoothies, juices, wraps, and salads for lunch. So happy they decided to expand!

The Mad Beet Can’t be Beat! Brian Dunlap has been running The Mad Beet in Pacific Beach for almost two years, which in PB is an eternity for a restaurant or bar. His delicious juices got him such a popular reputation in the local health crazed community that he recently moved to a bigger location directly on Garnet Avenue. Brian’s personal favorite is The«Sir Melton John» wrap. I have to agree. It’s delicious. And nutritious!(Pardon the corny rhyming, but I’m high on beets right now as I write this). Although despite my friend who loves everything spicy, I chose to opt out of the jalapeños on my Sir Melton John” wrap. The chipotle still gave it a nice kick. You get to chose the wrap of your choice, from tomato basil to spinach, it’s almost unfair how tasty and healthy everything is here. My personal favorite addiction from The Mad Beet to stave off any sniffles is the Green Latifah: Lime, spinach, cucumber, kale, celery, ginger which provides the perfect anti flu shot you can get in my opinion. After a heavy workout I love coming here to get an immediate boost of protein with the Robin Thick shake. One of my favorite things can’t be bought off any menu. It’s the vibe that only The Mad Beet can provide in the heart of PB. The Mad Beet blends up a unique vibe of health, love, and inspiration where other like minded, healthy conscious Californians come and gather around the community inspiring picnic benches Brian has laid out for his customers. Even a wee lil picnic bench with crayons for his young visitors. I’m sure he’ll let you use the crayons if you’re young at heart. You can even buy the art work he displays by local artists on the wall. Some of the pieces I hope stay here forever, because of how they feed my soul as his wraps and juices fuel my cells. You can find his delicious, healthy juices and wraps at 933 Garnet Avenue But be warned, you will want everything on the menu that’s written out on the chalkboard by the counter. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you!) @CoachDeb

They just keep impressing me and my stomach. Just hooked me up with an acai bowl because I’m awesome… And there was something wrong with it as per a customer order. Haha either way!

I love Acai and am very picky about it. But this place was very different then any other I have been to. They have so many things to choose from, bowls juices etc. I really like how they had a full wall of their menu. Whats different about it is that they just use the Acai base. Most places blend it with a type of liquid(you still can upon request). I had it for the first time, just the base and it was pretty freakin good! You’re able to switch out toppings if they have it. They’re pricey but definitely worth it! The place is pretty small and the workers are okay, they kinda have an attitude and doesn’t seem like they want to help you. Especially for first timers, didn’t really feel welcomed. This place is in PB, so hopefully you go at a good time and find parking!

The new location is much bigger with the same great menu. I love the variety of stuff that they have here. From acai bowls, to smoothies to juices, they have something that will satisfy every craving. I also love that they moved it right next to the gym for easy access to a post workout smoothie. I will be frequenting here a lot. One thing I will say is they need to get some AC in here asap. It gets super stuffy. Also, get the free wheatgrass shot with check in back!!!

A good spot in a prime location. I love that it’s healthy and they have flavors for everyone. Smoothies, juices, salads and fruit bowls. Tasty and fresh! The staff is fun and friendly. However, I feel like the product is overpriced considering what it is.

I’ve been passing by The Mad Beet while it was on Cass for a long time and never thought to stop by. After my acai bowl in Hawaii, I thought that it would be a nice start to my day considering the car battery died and the garage door was broken. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that there is a lot of space if you want to sit and sip your smoothie or fruit bowl. They also have salads and wraps that you can get. The menu is so extensive and the names not very descriptive, that I had to take a picture so I can look at it on my own to make a decision. Fortunately the acai bowl is the first option under the fruit bowl list, so it was easy to order today. Acaiwol Nation. Although all of my fruit was fresh, it was coated in a lot of honey, which made it really sweet. I know a lot of people love honey, but for me, I like only a light drizzle. I was also not a big fan of the acai sorbet used for the base. It was also really sweet and didn’t have the nice tartness that the acai bowl in Hawaii had. I’ll definitely have to try a smoothie sometime. It’ll be nice if they have something similar to the smoothie I get at Jamba Juice since they are much closer.
