Went here a couple days ago for lunch. The last time I came here was in high school and from what I remember it was pretty good. I didn’t know they closed at 2:30pm for lunch, so I came in just before 2pm and was informed they would be closing soon. The hostess didn’t turn my boyfriend and I away though. She said there was no rush to leave, and warmly invited us to sit. A server came to us almost immediately to ask what we would like to drink. Got hot green tea and waters for the both of us. That also came out shortly after ordering. We ordered three sushi rolls and a bento box with beef teriyaki and gyoza. Came out very fast! The sushi was delicious and the majority of the bento box was good, but the beef teriyaki was very thin slices of beef and didn’t give me that good teriyaki satisfaction I was hoping for. We were in and out of there in like 30 minutes. The service was excellent. Very friendly and professional.

Best Sushi in San Diego! I’ve read reviews about the waitresses having attitude, and personally I’ve never experienced that here. Everyone has there off days so you can’t expect someone to be happy all the time. Anyways, the food is delicious here and the sushi is as fresh as it gets in San Diego. Yes it is a little expensive, but it’s definitely worth it!

I’m gonna give this place 5 starts because of Los Morrillos, Priscila & Miguel’s famous vlogs. I know for a fact that they know about good food and they love coming here, I live in LA but I hope I can visit this place sometime!

Been coming here since this place opened and in the past two years service and the owners act extremely rude. The lady owner is always at the register with such a blank stare it feels as if she’s just watching over everyone to finish up and leave already. If you get there close to closing also remember they will either turn you away or rush you the entire time!

This place is so good, it deserves a review! I consider this place my little hidden gem. By far my favorite in the South Bay. It has easily become my favorite because of the jalapeño crunchy roll!!! Amaaaazing! Start off with a miso soup and some gyoza and you won’t regret it. Prices are affordable and portions are filling! You definitely get your money’s worth. Customer service is normally fast and friendly. Definitely my new go-​to place for sushi!

One of the better Sushi places I’ve been too. I just recently discovered this place & I’m glad I did. Some of the rolls might be a bit pricey but the rolls are big & filling & most of them real good so it’s worth it. It’s very spacious & always clean & the customer service is good the times I’ve been there. The girls are very nice & attentive & the guys at the sushi bar fast & friendly.
My favorite Roll here is the Jalapeño crunchy Roll, it’s one of the best Rolls I’ve ever eaten! True story! Not only is it beautifully made but it taste great with a big kick to it (very spicy) so make sure to drink a lot of water so you’re Nalgas won’t burn so much later. Make sure to start off with a miso soup, it really is one of the best miso soups I’ve had, there was no need to put Sirache sauce in it it taste great the way it is. Gyoza is also a very good little appetizer to start with, I got both, it comes very fresh & hot. A big plus for me in this place is that they also serve Phở! Sushi & Phở now that’s a beautiful combo.
I really liked this place & will definitely be coming back, yes it’s a bit pricy but it has good service, good food & good atmosphere so it’s worth it. And make sure to tip not only the waitresses but also the guys at the bar rolling the Sushi rolls if you order sushi, they’ve earned it.

I’m sorry but this is the worse sushi I’ve ever had. Took 30 mins to prepare 2 rolls.
The sushi was not even rolled right and was unraveling by itself in my plate.
The ingredients are not fresh, they used packaged imitation crab for my California rolls AND if you want cucumber (isn’t this standard?) in your California rolls you have to order the «SPECIAL» rolls for $ 2.00 more.
I won’t be returning ever again.

Excellent service! Went in about 20 minutes before they closed and they still sat us down and let us order with time. Food was at our table within minutes of ordering. Was a little concerned about going in after reading some bad reviews but I left very satisfied. Will definitely be going back.

This place is right by my house and it pretty good! Jalapeño roll and new roll are my favorites! Depending on the time is could be really busy and I feel like they’re usually short handed, so it takes awhile to get helped but the rolls are great and decent prices.

A decent place to eat sushi for the area. Service is ok. A little on the slow side. The food is ok. Maybe several years ago when I first started eating sushi this place would have scored a little higher. They have a nice selection of rolls. The rainbow rolls is good. The sashimi is decent. Place is spacious and very relaxed.

I like this place for its food and proximity to my home but I really hate when businesses/​restaurants try to nickle and dime customers… Which is something this place does!!!
The service is extremely slow if you sit down with any parties over 2…
Most recently I came here to have lunch by myself and the service was fast… I advised my server that I did not want wasabi on the side with my sushi and asked for jalapenos instead…
I got my bill and they charged me almost a dollar (i think it was 75 or 85 cents) for a couple of jalapeño slices! I was thinking are you serious??? I just saved you some wasabi instead of wasting it!
The menu gives every warning that they are not customer service oriented. The menu states «ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR ANY SUBSTITUTIONS» and something like «make sure you read all the ingredients because if you order it, you will pay for it!»
ALSO… this place charges a fee for using your credit card/​debit card if the bill is under a certain amount ($ 10!)! I know this is not the only place that does this but after charging me almost a dollar for jalapenos and not telling me, I was extremely bothered!
AND the credit card surcharge fees are illegal!!! Read California Civil Code section 1748.1!!!

The sushi is delicious. They have a variety of different/​special sushi combinations and every one I have tried has been a great first time trying. I ordered the banana roll which includes shrimp tempura with cream cheese and fried banana and eel sauce on top. It was different and soo good. A lot of the dishes I have tried have been really fresh and beautiful.
I like the place because it doesnt get too crowded and the service is great. The place is a little hidden, but there’s nothing wrong with that, all the great places I have been to are small and hidden.
It could be pricey, but worth it.

Okay, so my mom used to tell me never to come here for sushi… because my mom was legit Japanese and was a hardcore judge when it came to rolls, ingredient freshness & rice quality. No reasons given, she just told me not to.
So.I stayed away based on my mom’s advice and never tried this joint because I was scared. Lol! A true mistake for reals. I’ve been here 4 times in the last 2 weeks. All of the rolls I’ve tried have been delicious and fresh.
Calamari roll, Georgina, volcano, new roll, daredevil roll, jalapeño roll, all are fantastic but the calamari roll is my fav. The service each time has been great. Friendly servers, quick food delivery. Couldn’t ask for better.

It was inexpensive and delicious. The service could’ve been better. Let’s talk food first:
They have a large sushi menu. It’s a little spot. Open area. Big tables, nicely spread out and doesn’t feel crowded. The menu had much to choose from at reap snak prices. Very delicious.
The service was a bit slow. We had about 4 people attend to the table so wasn’t exactly sure who our waitress was. We waited about 10 min after being seated to actually be asked about drinks. At the end of the mean. The prices for 2 rolls (1 basic, 1 specialty and water) came out to less than $ 10. Good for me, bad for business. An older woman came over and kind of aggressively told me that I could either order more or be charged $ 1 for charging an order less than $ 10 on my credit card. The extra charge was not new to me. I’ve dealt with that before. It was the manner at which she approached me that puts me on the defense. I told her to charge it. They looked at the tip as if I was low balling them but I tipped for the meal, not the extra charge. She’s lucky she got that.
Maybe take out next time to not deal with the side eye.
