Large selection of chips, cookies, snacks(they carry Quadratini… omg), you name it. Many options of sandwiches and salads. The people are really friendly, and I love their breakfast burritos(the one w/potatoes! Actually a pretty stuffed burrito and a surprisingly cheaper price than I would’ve predicted, so it’s worth every penny). Not a fan of the deli sandwiches. They’re big, so that might be why the price is jacked up, but taste wise, they’re only average.

Conveniently located across from SFGH so when the cafeteria food is not to my liking I can easily get food outside of the hospital. This is just the average sandwich and salad spot. Other than for convenience, I wouldn’t make a special trip to this place. They have a breakfast menu, sandwich, and salad menu. They have a large variety of snacks(chips, cookies, candies, etc) and drinks(from healthy to sodas) for you all to choose from. I have gotten the chicken Cesar salad and the roast turkey sandwich. You pay an additional price for chicken and for cheese, respectively. Salad: good amount of dressing, not heavily drenched. Roast turkey: they are generous with the turkey meat and I appreciate that when the sandwich ends up being over $ 7. My sandwich had one piece of lettuce in it and I’d prefer more veggies in my sandwich. The sandwich fill me up and satisfied my hunger.

A mouthful of dark and light turkey meat awaits you at Deli 23. No prepackaged turkey meat here. Each sandwich is made fresh and most of the selections include turkey somewhere. My favorite is the turkey with cranberry jam. Best part is they automatically toast all the sandwiches for you!

Right across the street from SF General ED. This little sandwich shop packs a big punch. I ordered a Turkey and bell pepper sandwich on a whole wheat roll. Wow, very impressed with this place. The turkey is real pulled turkey, the sandwich is toasted and everything in it tastes great. The people behind the counter were very courteous and polite. Nothing but good things from this place. I will definitely be back to try the turkey and cranberry sandwich. So if your in the area and need a bit to eat I would go with Deli 23.

Chef salad= bomb Although, the line can be pretty long during lunch time don’t let that discourage you from trying, the line moves at a pretty good rate. You can always call ahead! A family member was hospitalized at general hospital and I stumbled across their salad now I go out of my way to pick one up. Yes, that good! The staff is friendly. I’ll keep coming back for that salad. Although, I do hope to explore the rest of their menu, but I just can’t stop ordering the chef salad.

This place is in the perfect spot because it’s so close to the hospital. Because of that t gets pretty busy at lunchtime. Service is pretty quick, very polite and patient. The sandwiches aren’t super expensive and the portions are quite large so usually I will eat only half of my sandwich and share the other with a coworker. My favorite right now is their avocado turkey sandwich. It is made with chunks of turkey and delicious.

I’m not sure why this deli has such low reviews, it is called«deli 23» because it is on 23th Street right across from SF General, they have breakfast specials, sandwiches, large selection of drinks, sweets and potato chips, staff is super friendly as well. Indoor and outdoor seating a plus.

Horrible Mediterranean or middle east over priced sliced meat with nitrites place. I was overcharged for about 80% the stated price for a small coffee. Their phone number is a fax… Avoid these thieves or pay with cash and count every penny you get as change.

Discovered this little corner store through an order ahead type app. Needed something in Potrero Hill. I ordered a meatball sandwich and a ½ pint of hummus. i got the meatball sandwich with mayo, lettuce tomato, onion and black olives(extra) on dutch crunch bread. The sandwich was large and toasted. I was surprised to find out that there was no marinara sauce on it. This however would have made the sandwich messy to eat. It was not messy, but definitely filling and delicious. The ½ pint of hummus was freshly prepared the same day by the taste of it. It was light and tangy with a twist of lemon. Came topped with paprika and black olives. It was good. Service was fast and courteous. I would go again if i need to grab a quick sandwich.
