Fun location but really watered down drinks! Not worth it! parking is also an issue.

Fuse is where you pre-game in North Beach if you forgot to pre-game at home… or if you don’t want to deal with the catastrophe that is this neighborhood past 9P. Laid-back bar that’s a little bit cheaper/quieter than the other venues in the area. There’s a tiny space which can function as a dance floor, but stay away unless you used to wrestle in high school and have excellent balance/takedown defense as a result. It can get pretty ruckus once the DJ decides to drop some Mac Dre on your face and everyone starts feelin’ themselves. 3 stars + 1 bonus star since the local ahem, professional dancers, also like to grab a drink after their shifts here.

My friends and I came here during the President’s Day weekend and SF Beer Week, on a SUNDAY. I know, I know i would’ve been in bed by 11p. This was a pretty chill place. Not very many people were here, but the young and the old drifted in and out sporadically. The DJ was eh and the bar prices were all around the same that we’re used to. The bartender that night was friendly and attentive, too. Fuse is definitely a place where I would stop by again, but not a place where I’d stay the entire night. But hey, a good time is a good time.

I’d say one star here goes for the DJ. On a hot Saturday night this place was about half full around 10:30, then emptied out. Why? Because the bouncer is too busy trying to pocket $ for a simple bar — so nobody ended up going in. Most clubs in NB have free guest lists and early admissions. But not only does the bouncer want $ 5 cover, he will nickel and dime you just to get $ 2 per person to get in! Do not pay cover for a place that only has room for 30 people! This place is not a club or even a nice bar, it is basically a dive on North Beach. However, if you get sucked in, the mediocre well vodka tonics are still $ 7 and draft beers are still $ 6.

My friends and I had heard that Fuse was doing Sunday night Karaōke, so we popped in to see if it was true. Sure enough there was Karaōke, so we ordered some drinks and requested some songs and had a great time. The bar manager Rocko told me that it was their first Karaōke Sunday, and that it will happen every Sunday from 9pm to 1am. Finally, a place to sing on a Sunday night in North Beach!

I never go to North Beach. Ever. Ever ever. But being the host that I am, when the homies from out of town roll through obviously North Beach is on the short list of «must sees» for the first timing tourist. So of we walked down Broadway, trying to get a drink, yet you’d be surprised how damn hard that is without shelling out $ 10+ cover. Until we hit Fuse that is. The door guy sees us and says we should come in and drink up. I ask what the cover is, prepared to continue the trek, and he says zip, zero, nada. Head on in. Does that mean I’d come to North Beach ever again just because of this place? Shit no, in my old hood of the Tenderloin barely anyone charges cover. Plus on a Friday night circa 10:30pm this place was D.E.A.D. But at no cost of entry, moderately priced and strong drinks, Fuse is a good option to get the inebriation on it’s way. Sometimes that’s all you need right? Worked for me.

I enjoy this place purely because it’s a good place to visit before the other clubs on the strip; or if you need to pound a few drinks quickly before embarking on the urban jungle of Broadway. The layout is a little awkward, and it’s a bit tight on space. What’s always a tickler for me is that while I’m waiting for friends to get down to Broadway for the booty shaking, they show some pretty cool movies. This place has earned it’s moniker as a launch pad: no cover charge and they open early(ier).

Since Bubble Lounge was boring, we walked to Broadway. Atmosphere had a line and Horizon looked empty. While we were at the street corner between those two places trying to figure out where to go, the guy standing at Fuse said no cover for ladies, check it out so we did. There was hardly 20 people in there on a Saturday night. We used the restroom, had one drink and left. The music/DJ were pretty good. All hip-hop, my fav.

Every time I go here, I really have a good time. I must be going with good company or it’s just that fun here. :P No cover for girls. Jamie is the best bartender: P Good for pre-drinking before you hit the clubs. Easy to find because they have a visible sign.

Started the night out here… This place is a dark little spot to chill before the night really begins. Kindy divey, kinda nice. eclectic crowd of people… Was here on a Saturday night and the DJ was so passionate about his music it was hard not to dance. The place filled up fast… If you get there before 10pm its free and then afterwards I think there is a cover charge.

Went here to meet a very good friend of mine from LA before hitting up Atmosphere for prefunkin’. It’s a nice spot, kinda divey with ample seating by the dj booth. Drinks were good and reasonable. Hiphop muzak was spun and wished they hired a good dj because dude was trainwreckin’ the rotation and mix. LOL

This place is a nice little spot to drop in on. I can’t see myself staying in here all night because the environment was really rowdy, but it’s a great spot to stop by and get that first drink in you and bring out that rowdy, havoc bringing, hell raiser that wants to come out and tear up broadway street on a friday night. The place wasn’t super busy when I came here but the people in there were having a ball. Dancing, blowing whistles, screaming at the top of their lungs. All the signs of excitement and rowdiness brought on by round after round of stiff drinks. The bartender made me one of the most stiff long islands I’ve ever had. It wasn’t all that gross but it definitely kicked me in the face. We didn’t pay a cover(probably because it wasn’t really busy), the doormen were really nice and funny. They made fun of us and our ID’s and they were totally cool, just chillin. The bartenders put on a great show. They were making drinks and tossing around bottles and shakers, dropping them purposely, making funny faces and were down right entertaining. Love this spot. I will be dropping in quite often. Cheers!

Giving them an extra star for putting on Grandma’s Boy on tv! We have never watched the movie but it’s hilarious even w/o sound! We can’t wait to rent the movie and watch it from the beginning w/sound! I always wanted to check this place out. I expected it to be a cool neighborhood bar that’s a bit hip. What we didn’t expect was how small the bar area is and that it’s more like a club with DJ spinning and a dance floor. We walked in about 10:30pm on a Friday and there were just a few at the bar and the DJ is just starting. Hubby opted for a beer and me a vodka tonic — this came to $ 14, which is a bit on the pricey side for a well drink and beer BUT since we had such a good time w/the movie, it’s all a wash. The music is a decent mix of dance and pop, which hubby likes more than house. Not likely to return with my favorite bar just up the alley.

I’ve been to this little joint a few times before back in the day years ago. Back then i don’t think it was called fuse though. Well anyways, I went to this little joint on the weekend following my birthday with friends(March 19th baby!). The place was packed. Then it died out, then it got packed again. It was coming and going all night. The bartenders; which were only two(guy and girl), were doing their best to make all the drinks for people. But with a big crowd and a small bar. It seemed to take forever to get a quick drink at first. The Music was good. The DJ played all the local favorites and some popular commercial MTV shit as well. However, the DJ trainwrecked a few times and some of his mixes didn’t mesh to well with some of the songs he was mixing them with. But anyways, I got my «bay fingers» dance on and danced with my lady friend and some other sleezy. I had a good time. I got free drinks all night and got slaughtered. I wan’t trying to get into no club, club and dress all fancy for the night. I’m a t-shirt and jeans guy(most of the time). I give this 3 out of 5 stars! Check this place out if you haven’t.

Cute place, strong drinks, hot bartender(the girl), good music and cool crowd of people. Not the best spot in North Beach but worth a visit. Plus they don’t try to charge you a lame $ 10 cover.

The bartender was on point. She was great. They played Bön Jovi while I stuck on a ‘My Little Pony’ tattoo on my arm. …They don’t sell My Little Pony tattoos, I just wanted everyone to know about it.

This place would be worth a look. A good place to start the night or maybe pass thru on your way elsewhere. Drink prices are reasonable, bathrooms were clean. The bartender Jaime was great. Seemed actually happy whether there 2 people or 20 people at the bar. I’d go back.

While running around the area, my friend had a sudden desire to go dancing somewhere. After asking a very friendly and cute girl on the street, we walked on over a block to Fuse. Supposedly it’s one of the few few places nearby where you can actually dance. The inside looks like a tiny little basement with weird music and a strangely dark and blue atmosphere. My friend and I walked in, paused, looked around at the old men staring at us, laughed, and walked out. Ummm. Yeah. Then I remembered I was there before with another friend and we had done the same thing. Oh well. One star for the free entry.

I’ll start with the bad… First, I hate hate hate paying a cover charge to get into a bar. Second, at times I felt like I walked into a gang banger’s basement house party. …and end with the good… Unfortunately there aren’t many places in the city where you can dance, and this is one where you can. However, given the clientele, I was a bit surprised that I very well may have been the best dancer/rapper there.

Well this just sucks – i move back to SF from NY and thought that my staple spot, Fuse, for a fantastic strong cocktail(i used to work across the street at Enrico’s so i needed one @ end of shift.). Ray and I were close friends, the interior design, drink design, it was all him. Genius. Equally as genius was when Ray would bring us over trays of his shot concotions to Enricos — a symbiotic relationship because we were guinea pigs for him, and he knew right when we all needed a drink. i called there this week and some obseqious chick answers the phone and tells me he no longer works there? Fuse IS Ray Morrone. Well, WAS.
p. s. dontcha patronize that place that used to be Fuse, it no longer exists… p. p. s. thanks for the responses from those who knew how I could find Ray, found him! On to bigger and better things, he is. Thank goodness. Word up, Ray
