I can’t believe this place is called a creperie! They only have two types of crape and they’re kinda of a joke. I order the turkey crêpe and received the worst put together wrap. It had 2 small slices of turkey, scraps of cheese, and chucks of avocado. It was cold and to make it worst they didn’t even have utensils. However, The chai latte was ok. Safe to say I wouldn’t ever come back nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I love coming to this place. The sandwiches and drinks are delicious. The coffee and loose leaf tea can be a bit pricy, but the quality definitely makes up for it. I especially love their cold brew coffee. This is one of the few places where I can have coffee without the need for any sugar or a ton of cream. They sadly discontinued their salmon burger, but their other sandwiches are still delish. I love their spicy sausage sandwich– avocado, mayo, cheese, spicy sausage, egg, lettuce and tomato on a croissant. Their dessert crepes are really good too. The peanut butter one has mixed nuts and bananas in it– so good and something that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Edit: The owner was leaving but the café will remain open under new management.

The king sandwich with pastrami was not bad, the sauce was kinda delicious(though i’m suspecting MSG) the healthy salad has a fried egg(novel idea) and nuts(fyi for those w/nut allergies, this is not listed on the menu), avocado is a definite plus, but the turkey is sub-par deli meat service is slow, poor guy manning the café by himself(kind of admirable actually… but still taking away stars for that)

Came back and got the bacon, egg and cheese bagel. You CAN choose your cheese and I got cheddar(maybe American) this time and it was much better.

Surprisingly delicious bagel sandwich from a tiny little café in our neighborhood. I’m usually in too much of a hurry to get coffee on my way to work, but I may have to now that I have tasted the deliciousness of their coffee and bagels one lazy afternoon.

Their pesto chicken is bomb dot com on Dutch crunch! Although, the man that works there always changes the bread to(what im guessing) is closest to him. Sometimes its a bagel. Sometimes its ciabatta bread. Hahaha! And their coffee is fresh all the time with great variety even if the menu is small. I do like the atmosphere a little but it’s a little crowded. And there’s a wall between the café and another store next door. Their food quality is amazing, but they could amp up the interior a little. 3 stars :) also, the man that runs the show here needs to hire more workers. Service is kinda slow.

PROS 1. Great Breakfast Bagels. My fave being the King Bagel… however, i do believe there’s too much cream cheese to begin with. It makes the whole thing fall apart. 2. The owner remembers my Espresso drink. 3. They use La Marzocco Espresso Machine and Mazzer grinders here. 4. So far this place is in good standing with the Health Dept. and posses a SERVICEOFEXCELLENCE title to prove it. CONS 1. The décor definatley needs a makeover. Its too cluttered and crammed in there. It makes the place look dirty. 2. No Music?! something as simple as playing music in the background can make a difference. 3. Wish the Food Menu was somehow combined into the Espresso Menu so that I dont have to look at different menus opposite of each other.

I go to Java Creperie for lunch all the time. I love the Turkey Cranberry sandwich and the chicken pesto. King is always very nice and remembers orders so when I call he already knows what I want!

Love stopping by Java Creperie for my morning coffee fix! The two owners are so sweet and welcoming every time. I haven’t tried too many things on their menu, but their bagels and cream cheese as well as their king bagel are very delicious! They load the bagel with lots of cream cheese. They also have a stamp card where you get your tenth coffee free — always a plus :)

Mocha? No, thank you. I ordered a «zebra»(half mocha chocolate & half white chocolate) plus one shot of espresso(I use to be a barista) mocha to-go. To my surprise it was just a regular mocha when I took my first sip. I thought the coffee barista heard my order. She even confirmed but still made it wrong.): At the register it said that there was a five dollars minimum on credit cards and three on atm cards. I had credit and had to order an additional item, a «king bagel». The bagel consists of an overwhelming amount of cream cheese, egg, avacodo, and bacon on a bagel of your choice. Eh. Nothing unique. At $ 5.00 a bagel it was not worth it. At most it was a $ 3.00 meal. Pass.

I like this place. Their croissant sandwiches are to DIE for, totally yummy. They have a great selection of sandwiches, teas, smoothies, etc. Free wifi, ample seating, and usually the wait time isn’t too long. It’s only steps away from CCSF and right next to Mamma Mia pizzeria so if you don’t want café grub, you go to the other side and have pizza!

This place isn’t so bad since they make good money being across from CCSF. I just think its on the pricey side from the last time I been here which was a year ago. Their small drink which is literally smaller than the size tall at starbucks cost around $ 3 something for a soy chai from the last time I ordered there. Their sandwiches are okay also I think just being a cheap student I would order the simple sandwich or something like that maybe BLT? I can’t remember which one. Also you have to spend at least $ 5 to be able to use your card so I believe that’s why they have random bread and cookies at the front so you can meet past your $ 5 limit. hehe. Well its a nice place to go to if you want to buy something else than school food. =)

This will and ever be my favorite coffee shop in around campus. 1. Location is just perfect. The amount of distance is just perfect that you can walk to campus 5 minutes to class and you are not late. 2. Their food is hella good(for the price they give). My favorite is the King Burger and the Veggie Sandwich. Recommended choice to eat. 3. Don’t sit in the corner near the entrance. Its hella cold and people don’t close the door… ever. 4. Free wi-fi! 5. Theres a mexican restaurant right next door!

This morning, I’m looking for a decent cup of coffee after softball practice, and Unilocal tells me this place is the closest source of coffee near Balboa Park. The name on the awning is Java Crepes … I take a chance it’s the same place and park ½ block away. Nice woman behind the counter takes my order, and I see her START A FRESHPOTOFCOFFEE! Just for me!(the coffee was delicious, btw!). I see they have Crepes on the menu board(Reagan likes Crepes) so, when his practice ended — and he asks about lunch(as I know he probably will) I suggest Java Crepes/Jitters whatever.(I find out the current owner took over about a year ago, and the Mexican food place next door just closed. Apparently, they haven’t notified Unilocal of the change in name) We get there and the man & woman behind the counter suggest a salmon burger. I’m hesitant — I was wanting a sandwich, but salmon burgers are tricky. They usually are over-cooked, tough, bland, etc. But Reagan decided to go with it. I ordered a Giant Burger. We had the choice of white or wheat buns(so rare, especially at small neighborhood joints). The woman behind the counter suggested we could split our sandwiches so we could each taste both — great idea! We soon had our food — and both were FANTASTIC! The buns were fresh. There was an egg(WTF?) on both!(I’m really not an egg-on-a-sandwich guy, but this changed my mind!). The egg added taste, texture … It was great! There was a guacamole cream/mayo(?) like substance. Chopped lettuce, tomato … So good! In fact, so good we ordered another salmon burger and split it! Oh yeah — the salmon burger — it was cooked just right! Not soggy, just very tasty! And the folks behind the counter were very gracious, asking if we needed anything, or had any suggestions. If you’re on Ocean near Balboa Park and City College — I heartily recommend this place!

Havent tried their tea or sandwiches, but when I ordered a large iced coffee, they said they only have ONE size. A small ! Wtf? A small iced coffee is like drinking iced water, since more than half of the cup is filled with ice… Probably wont go back anytime soon.

Ordered a latte and bagel with cream cheese. I thought it was better than starbucks which may or may not be a good thing. I guess it depends on who you ask i guess. I’ve read a few of the negative reviews and cant say that I agree. I received great service and my latte was tasty. If this keeps up then I think I might’ve found my go to spot for my daily java fix. Why just 4 stars? Well, I’ll have to come back here multiple times to check for consistency.

I gotta give Java Jitters 4 stars! This is a great local coffee shop nearby CCSF. I’ve been coming here the past semester for a morning bagel and cup of coffee. The barista, Jared, is very friendly and cool to talk to. I think it’s very important to be social with your customers. Only reason why I took off 1 star is because when Jared wasn’t working the two times I went, there was a chick working and she pretty much burnt my bagel and the coffee didn’t taste right… no offense to you if you read this, but this is only the two times. Also, the bathroom is kinda iffy… other than that, Java Jitters is a great quick stop for a cup of cofee!

Absolute worst coffee in SF. The reason why they call themselves«Java Jitters» is because there espresso is so bitter that you have to jitter to deal with the taste. There service is atrocious. I ordered a double espresso, by the time it got to me It was maybe a teaspoon of espresso. Then I complained to the counter person, who said she would fix it. I got back a single espresso. I don’t know why places like this stay open. I wish I could give this place worse then one star.

The setup is odd indeed. Java Jitters and La Parrilla Grill share a space and there is no wall between the two separate and I believe independent businesses. I personally find the arrangement detracts from the coffeehouse experience because I don’t want to smell Mexican food and would appreciate a wall. While I certainly don’t mind the secondhand furniture and worn in look, the tables needed to be wiped off and the couch had bits of food on it. Ick. The tables are also rickety which is distracting. It also irks me when there’s a display case filled with food(cookies, teabread, bagels, muffins) that isn’t labeled and doesn’t have pricing. It just makes the experience more effortful to have to ask about everything. Yes, the coffee and sandwiches are listed on the menu but when you order a bagel, can you get cream cheese? I can’t tell. I had a medium latte($ 3.10) with a slice of marble teabread. The latte was nice and strong but very small… that also put a damper in the rest of my day. I didn’t get a pretty leaf design in my foam. The teabread was okay though dry on top and without much flavor. I appreciate the free wi-fi but I could not concentrate with the Mexican food odor, the sound of the traffic, the rickety table, etc. There aren’t many electrical outlets. Street parking is limited to 2 hours in the surrounding neighborhood. It’s got some promise but also is quite rough around the edges. The credit card minimum is $ 5.

Service is impeccable. Very friendly cashiers. However, the mocha that I ordered was made with overly-thick chocolate syrup. Not to my fancy. They could also benefit from some more outside signage. Edit: Owner messaged me with apologies. Definitely awesome service in my book!
