Loft 11

How come there’s only one photo??? This used to be the spot! It’s a great little loft-​like venue for a club in the city, but too bad it went downhill.
I partied many times here in college back in 2000 or so, but the one time I remember most was on my 23^rd bday. I rented a party trolley full of 40 friends. I made reservations to come to Loft 11 and get in for free without waiting in line. When we got there, the staff was abusing their power telling us we had to pay cover or slip them $ 100 to get in. Being in college, you don’t have money to throw away especially after renting a party trolly. So I stood out there crying, my friends tried to fix it and they wouldn’t budge and we ended up going home and I ended up having the worst bday ever that night. The next day, I wrote a very long but professional email to the owner stating in detail what happened but also that a little bit before, my friend rented a party bus and the same thing happened to her! So basically, they turned away two party buses full of 80 people that could have spent money at his bar but instead, it’ll be 80 people spreading word like wildfire on Unilocal and by word of mouth about their poor experience with the staff here.
Luckily, the owner replied back promptly stating how sorry he was and that he has fired his entire security and front staff the very next day and comped me for future dinners there. Although I was happy to hear that, I never stepped foot in there again. Could have been great, but if you hire the wrong people to represent your company, it can go downhill from there which it looks like it did… I gave it an extra star for the 2 stars because other times I was there, I did enjoy my time there and also because of the professional, caring response from the owner. It’s a nice venue; I hope it finds a way to make a come back.

I remember this club being pretty wack when I came here and I have no plans to come back willingly. I’ve only been here once. But I had a lot fun and there were no issues, so can’t complain!

The place is totally shady. The bouncers are rude. The line gets held up like there’s no tomorrow.
A fight broke out from outside the club. There were punches and people on the ground. My friends and I felt really unsafe and left.

Man, I’m possibly over rating this place, but I had a great time when I came here. Let’s see, the highlights:
–My friend getting the evil eye from a really bitchy looking girl. Really bitchy. She was across the room and she decided to just hate my friend. We just laughed. I’m pretty sure she wanted to start a fight, but seeing as how my friend is a black belt and super into MMA… I secretly was hoping she would put dragon lady in her place…
–Seeing a bunch of hoochie girls dancing, it made me miss Thailand. I am not sure if they were hired by the club or just regular clubbers going for the Thai Hooker Look. Although in Thailand, there would be a higher chance it would be men
–I watched a guy try to hit on my friend. His best line was commenting on her fringe-​y top. «I like your shirt, it looks like a lamp shade.»
–Some gross fat guys tried to «dance» with us, which really meant they just tried to rub themselves on anything they could.
–There was a bitch fight. Not with my friend, but with what looked like the most exaggerated cat fight ever. To this day, I am unsure whether it was real or not. Shrills, nails, hair pulling — the works.
It was a memorable evening, I don’t think you could pay me to go back.

Aww 2 stars wtf man. I always have a good time here. Its also located close to 1015 Folsom sooo IF Loft 11 isn’t your type… you can merely walk to the next club.
I like Loft 11’s:
Staff.
Music.
Bartenders and drinks that they make.
Parking isn’t that much of an issue.
The hot chicks.
Its a 2 story dance floor… kinda small but always fun! I personally like the upstairs dance floor cause you can look down and people watch and doesn’t seem as crowded. Nice.

3 years ago, this was a poppin spot. Now? Not so much. My company (CW) used to throw parties here on the weekends, along with my boy on Tuesday nights… and though I agree with everyone else and say the layout sucks, the smoking room sucks, and the drinks are weak (that’s what pre-​fades are for), you would know what kind of music and crowd would be there on certain nights. Hip hop/R&B/Bay slaps aren’t your thing? You probably walked in to one of our parties and hated it because of the music and because there’s particular crowds that go to different promoters’ parties. Just like every other club/​lounge in the city.
I can’t speak for the other nights when it wasn’t CW or DJ Romeo throwin parties… but I’ve had a good time because of the company I’ve been with. And the crêpe truck for after the club ends was mmm mmm good!

It’s OK. Small and pretty ghetto. The only reason I’m giving the Loft 3 stars is because I always end up in VIP.
Beware of the glass floor on the 2^nd level. My girl noticed cracks in it. Isn’t that a huge safety code violation???

Don’t really have anything good at all to say about this place. Been here once, and never again.
The crowd is pretty damn ghetto and not so beautiful.
The glass dance floor upstairs is kind of cool.
And any place that has a smoke area in an enclosed room to help kill you faster from all the 2^nd hand smoke gathering up gets 2 thumbs down in my book.

I’ve been only 3 times, and it’s safe to say I’ve never been impressed with the DJ, the music is not up to hip-​hop club par, it’s a mess up of now, then, and never was.
Drinks are decent but bartenders are unpersonable.
Overall my suggestion is to go on thursdays and sundays when it is 18 and up because you’re not old enough, but if you are 21, im sure you can find your time spent wisely elsewhere…

I’d give this place zero stars if I could.
Came here on a Friday night expecting to have a good time after hearing someone exclaim that this was their favorite spot in the entire city. Apparently, this person has no standards, because this was probably the worst club I’ve ever been to in my entire life: repetitive music, faulty speakers, swarms of ghetto specimens encasing me from all sides. Plus, the place was dirty and in dire need of remodeling (or at least fix their leaky pipes!).
I got in at 11 p.m., started falling asleep around 11:30 but forced myself to stay another hour, when I thought my head was about to burst. Did I mention that I had to pay a $ 5 cover charge for this abuse (even though we were on the guestlist)? Sure, it’s a cheap price for a baller like myself, but considering how awful this place was, I can’t help but feel brutally raped.

****** The Women of Buffalo Bill’s, Ladie’s Night Out, Part 1******
This is part 1 of a 3 part review, because my girls and I went out on a Ladie’s Night Out last night. There were 10 of us, all dressed up to the nines. We went to Cha Cha Cha’s (I already wrote a review about that, and my feelings are still the same about it) Loft 11, Butter, and Holy Cow. So find my other reviews after you read this.
When we get to the front, the bouncers happily let us in. Then this bitter bitch at the front desk told us that we aren’t on the guest list and gives us major attitude. I said «Look, we are about to spend a LOT of money at your bar, so we would be doing YOU a favor if you let us in. Your club is dead and its a sausage party in there right now.» And she gave me the «I smell shit look» and at that moment the bouncer came up to her and told her to let us in.
The bartenders charge different prices for the beer. One girl told me 5 dollars when another guy told me 4 dollars.
It was so dead that they didn’t open up the top floor.
The only reason this place gets any stars is because the music was good. I feel sorry for the DJ’s that they have to work in an 18 dummy place like this.

This place is ghetto and I’m not just talking about the music. It is bad. My friends and I went here on a Saturday night, and we aren’t too picky or snobby there are enough of us to have a good time no matter what kind of a crowd it is. However, here we stood out like a sore thumb. Everyone kept insisting that we shouldn’t go upstairs because there was a gang up stairs throwing a private party. Then we saw two girls get into a fight while throwing gang signs up at one another and spitting on each other.
Despite the crowd, the place itself is pretty dirty and the bathrooms are horribly gross and dirty.
If you are looking for a nice clean club I would skip this place.

This is a good place to go to get stabbed.

Everyone on Unilocal seems to think this place is the dumps, but I’ll cut it a bit of slack only because I had a really good time and here’s why.

Other than that the place is simple, and it’s what it is… a LOFT. I don’t know what’s the significance of 11 but whatever. Also they need to expand the dance area away from the bar, it gets too crowded. I would post pictures, but I think they’re Rated-​R, for restricted (especially since I don’t know most of the crowd) of course =P.

This place reminds me of Blush in Burlingame. Craptastic.
My roomate is quite the looker and I had a good looking friend in from out of state. it was me + 2 other guys and +7 women or so. all extremely atractive. none of which I’m dating unfortunately. but thats not the point.
We were on the guest list + 10. we had 9…
Somehow others snuck in on our guestlist and half of our guests had to pay 20 $ to get in.
This being the first time we’d been there we paid expecting quite the spectacle inside .
Oh. we waited 15+ minutes to get in to begin with.
It was mostly dead inside. then around 1am it was packed with hood rats and unsavory characters sipping on hennessy … hennessy they can’t afford to be drinking in the first place i’m sure as they had no manners and everyone of the staff was rude that I ran into.
This place is crap. walk around the corner and go to Holy Cow or Butter… both of those places are better. and atleast Holy Cow is free to get in and has awesome bartenders. yeah its not classy. yeah the music’s crap. but atleast most of the people there are friendly and its a good time.
Since when does a plush leather seat and upscale décor make your night.

Yeah. Loft 11 is a polished turd. go to Butter or Holy Cow. both of them are turds… but atleast they’re more fun.

I’ve only been to this spot about 4 times. Once for E-40’s bday. off the hook. once for Mind Motion bday. off the hook… once I was too blitzed to remember. and another time ended with some cat sucker punching my boy… sucker punched? Man, there should be a website for folks to take pictures and post sucker punchers. with a line like «do you know this chump?» It may prevent fools from stepping out their skin with that L. C… lol I think I’m going to start a site. Imagine going to the club and you ask a girl to dance. «Helll no, you that sucker puncher from Club NV who ran…» Sorry got off the subject.
Good: Crowd is mixed, music does the job (more hyphy than anything) my drinks are always stiff, my boys from San Jose always had a good time.
Bad: seems they hold the line too often to act like it’s busy or to control the VIP. then you get in and there’s 5 people… usually crackin after 11:30pm. so don’t expect a crowd around 10pm. Also, at times, too many tough guys if you know what I mean.

10:00PM: It’s just me, Ed M, and a few other girls at Loft 11. Few random dudes and a bad DJ. One Jack & Coke consumed.
10:30PM: Still us, the old random dudes who keep hitting on the girls in our group, the bad DJ. Another Jack & Coke. Oh wait, a couple of people walked in…
10:35PM: People who walked in just walked out. WTF, I paid $ 15 to get into this place, where is everyone?. Another Jack & Coke.
11PM: Ok, this is sad even by my standards (and I have very LOW standards). Even more old creepy dudes. Another Jack & Coke.
11:15PM: Let’s go to Butter!

Well, it has gone down a bit, and I have not been back.
The only reason why I went here is because the bartender/​dj was really really cute and had the neat sleeve tattoos and told me to stop by.
Music that night was some sort of House style and the crowd downstairs was all East Bay. Upstairs, a bit better to hang out with friends and make the most of the wall seating. Drinks were generic, nothing great.
Makes sense that the cutie moved onto a better club nearby.

I am not afraid to say it, this place down right sucks! I had gone for my friend’s bachelorette party, and I feel bad that we took her there. I didn’t even pay cover and I wouldn’t go back. While the space is really well laid out for a club, the crowd was not. Nor was the DJ, whose scratching was actually by mistake, and who would halt songs completely instead of mixing them into the next one. At one point the DJ stopped the music all together to have a group sing happy birthday to someone. The crowd when I went was ALL girls, and the few guys who did go were cock blocked by the security guards who wouldn’t let them into the see through dance floor. Needless to say this place thinned out fast. It was a total waste of time. NEVER go here!!!
If I could give this place no stars… I would!
