I did not like the music. That is why they get a 2. If I am buzzed and still cannot get my groove on something is wrong. The upstairs VIP is more like a place to dry hump or hump for real if you know what I mean instead of just chill. I got a drink spilled on my dress as well as water tossed in my hair while dancing downstais by some crazy person throwing water from upstairs. I did see the security guards try to put a stop to some of the madness though.
But seriously, they need to fix the music situation. All that hyphy music is only good for so long.
Also the glass dance floor is a good idea but there is a big edge to it to get over there which is extraaaaa dangerous!
$ 5 parking lot nearby. Don’t even try to find a park nearby the club!

night of grime!!! I came here one saturday night and it was ghetto night. Too many people dressed in jeans and simple shirts. Music was played out an couldn’t dance to it. The crowd is for ghetto kids who just turned 21 and act like their 15. It smelled like a camel’s ass with a hint of Axe body spray. People were rude, stomping on your feet as they walk passed you.
I also recall some girl farting on the dance floor and the whole crowd scattered.
you can have the same experience of this club by taking a shit in you own bathroom as you play music from your ipod and dance.

This is a hit or miss joint. Some nights it is happenin’ and then other night you get the most ghetto girls ever… ever. If you like girsl with big butts and the round pooch in the stomache to match then this is the place for you. Nothing special on the drinks. The reason I give this place a 3 stars is b/​c the upstairs makes it all worth it.

Damn, this place is not the place to be on a Friday night.
I’m just glad I didn’t have to pay full price to get in with my girls. Only thing I liked about this place was they had a text this number and it’ll be half off promo.
Unless you like dances like in high school, this is not the place to be. The DJ was horrible, it was like he didn’t listen to the radio for any new songs, and there was a repeat of songs in less than an hour.

I really like how classy this place is, esp upstairs with all the lounges & places to sit. But I won’t be back unless I have to be there because I had a horrible time there.
The thing that ruined the night was one of my friends wasn’t feeling well and sort of fainted in the club. So the security dude & myself was carrying her out of the club to help her get some fresh air… ok great. But then those dudes just sort of left is out in the streets and closed the doors on us… it was late at night and there were creepos on the street… I mean… Thanks A LOT gentlemen.
Anywho, once my friend felt better and found a way home, I tried to get back into a club… but they wouldn’t let me in… even if that same security dude who carried my friend out with me was there and recognized me. I said I was taking care of a friend… I didn’t get kicked out, they wouldn’t listen to me. A couple of my friends were also «kicked out» just because they stepped outside to make a phone call or something… yeah. They wouldn’t let her back in even if she lost her car keys or what not.
Anywho, yeah… the security dudes sucked butt, I know they’re «doing their jobs» or what not… but we didn’t even do anything wrong.

Who to blame, who to blame…
I came here for a gamboi event. Long story short I went there and paid $ 25 bucks for an event and it didn’t feel like it was worth the money. I’ve been to other Gameboi events at their previous venue and always had a good time there. This is was first time coming to this one and I found myself unimpressed.
***I’m not sure if the venue itself is directly affiliated with the organizers of the event, so I don’t know who these complaints should be directed to, but these were my observations all the same***
Cons
–When you walk in to the club you’re walking straight onto the dance floor.
–The dance floor is right on the beside the bar, and along a path to get to the restrooms and the second floor. Unless you like getting constantly getting bumped into by drunk gays, move as far away as you can.
–Second level was nicer but is a rave rain waiting to happen. It’s way too hot/​humid which I’m blaming on bad ventilation and not the myriad of gays raged up on 2ne1 and hard liquor.
–Lastly the entire night the bathroom sink was clogged with tissues and throw-​up. Yes, dumb people will get drunk and do stupid things like throwing up on the only sink in the only bathroom, but people paid money to come here and have good time. If there’s only one bathroom for the whole venue the least management could have done was to make sure there’s someone there to maintain them.
Pro (probably has the least to do with the club than anything)
–The drunk attendant at the parking lot only charged $ 5, so YAY for that!

This club is really not that bad! I know after reading the reviews here cast by a majority vote of well — not as many stars but a good local club to hangout in!
I can only speak for my experience and for the most part — they have been positive. With that said, I have been to the MIST several times already and it’s not that bad. The front-​liner securities are good. They educated you and keep you safe. That to me is really important. It is really important also that the security staff are also proactive inside the club as well. I have seen too many things go wrong in a club where no security was in sight. Not good and high on liabilities!
I really like their 2^nd floor. I know this sounds «corny» and I have been to many clubs before probably much more upscale than this one, and you really can’t compare it to Ruby Skye either — but overall not bad. There are not a lot of places to seat down but adequate. I am more of an active guy anyhow so I don’t sit and diddle dally with my friends — instead — we buy our drinks and dance all night! It’s really good workout too! I have been wanting to take advantage of their RSVP parties which I will try next time and reserved a table! I think this is way cool. Kind of like being in a fancy club in Vegas with your own party club minus the cabanas!
I also like the glass dance floor where you can see people down. Kinda scary at first with all that weight — but heck it’s still there so it’s gotta be safe! The bartenders that I came across with were very nice. The last that I had really was generous with the chilled «Cuervos» and it was «rockin!» I came back to him several times that same night and he made sure it was worth my wait!
I think MIST is a good club to take your friend to hangout and have a great time. It is not so big that you get lost but big enough for a local entertainment!

probably one of the worst clubs i’ve been to. I will never go back, unless someone drags me and pays me to go in and gets me so drunk i forgot i went LOL
i went in for an 18+ event. terrible venue. I was one of the first people to walk in, and the place itself was really nice, but as a dance club? no. The floor was okay, not as big as a hoped it would be. The bar was really nice to look at and the lighting was cool. Couches off to the side, but you cant sit on them too long. gets SUPER crowded. handsy guys. VIP section is nice though, not a lot of people. Cool mirror when you walk in… Music was alright. no space to dance, so people end up dancing on the really really really small stage.
Upstairs is a pain in the ass. small place with couches to sit, but NO SPACE. and theres this dance floor upstairs with glass floors to downstairs. BAD IDEA for any girls who are wearing dresses or skirts. and i have no idea why they have this separator thing on the floor between the dance floor and walking space… people can seriously trip on that and eat shit on the dirty floor. don’t know why they have an upstairs. stairs itself was small and narrow. people can really fall and hurt themselves if they’re drunk.
my friend got into a fight here too, and got punched in the face. yeah hes never going back either

Probably one of the worst «Ultra Lounge» concepts I have ever been to.
Poorly venilated, mediocre crowd… the bartenders were using jiggers and BARELY making decent drinks for the price point.
Complete waste of time of getting ready to hit this place and being in attendance.

My roommates wanted to have a girl’s night out and the day we went was a Ladies Night ($ 5 for first 50 girls who show up) so we decided to go for it.
I’m not particularly fond of clubbing – especially not 18+ clubbing. I’ve never heard of this place so when I went to the website to sign up for the RSVP list, I liked what I saw.
My friends and I were the first ones to get in line… and it was already past 10. The DJ was late and they weren’t letting anyone in until he got set up. Complaining wasn’t getting us anywhere so we just talked amongst ourselves. The bouncers took it upon themselves to talk to us too. They were nice to the ladies (almost too nice) but quite rude and almost racist to the guys. I personally found them irritating.
When we were let inside, we thought it was nice… but small. Much smaller than what the website made it seem. There was an upstairs level that I got excited about, but no one was allowed up there all night. I never understood why and no one ever bothered to explain. They just kept saying ‘No, you can’t go up there. Go away.‘
There was a small seating/​lounge area but you couldn’t sit there for longer than 5 minutes before a bouncer or someone else tried to get you to leave. This is something that irritated me.
There’s a bar, but it’s expensive. If you’re gonna get something, get someone else to buy it for you! I only really noticed one bartender but he seemed very friendly. Friendliest face I saw at the club.
Like most 18+ clubs, you get lots of creeps and overenthusiastic guys trying to get at you and girls that try too hard. This plus the place being UNBEARABLY PACKED? You get more shoved around, stepped on, and more dicks squished around you than you ever wanted.
Even if you wanted to dance, you had no room to! Even if you had room to dance, it was hard to because the music sucked so bad. DJ that night was not only late, but had a weak playlist that he kept putting on repeat. Be creative!
Needless to say, I left early. This place is really good at trying really hard to be high end and exclusive (RSVP, super strict dress code) while it’s really just a sad excuse of a club with sub par music and desperate crowd that tries too hard to party. So much sweat and desperation in the air… it suffocated me. Never going back.

I knew I hated 18+ clubs for a reason.
I almost never want to go out, but after much convincing from a few friends last night, I decided to head to the city. Bad idea.
Normally I go to clubs with a clutch, but because I couldn’t find it last night, I decided to just wear a crossbody bag. Bad idea #2.
The club was incredibly packed, to the point where my friends and I were SHOVED by a girl because she was trying to get through. I have honestly never been pushed at a club before, and the least someone can do is apologize for bumping into someone. But nope, not this crowd.
It wasn’t the crowd that killed my night though. It was the fact that someone had the audacity to twist the clasp on my purse and steal my wallet without me knowing. Imagine the thoughts running through my head when I was walking to my car. I reached inside my purse to pull out my keys, and found myself grasping at an oddly empty bag. «Oh my god… My wallet is gone.» Running back to the club in 4 inch heels and asking the security guards, DJ, and the bartenders if they had seen my wallet was to no avail. You can just imagine me now, crying so hard that my mascara was running down my face and the security guards trying to calm me down. This has NEVER happened to me before. and I never thought I would be a victim of theft. Everything of value was in my wallet: my driver’s license, debit card, credit card, gift cards, sentimental pictures, and most importantly… my social security card.
Honestly, this is why I hate clubbing. There’s just so many shady people that will do anything to ruin your night. I wasn’t the only one that was a victim of theft either. My roommate was also a victim. Whoever stole my wallet also opened her purse and stole her phone. What’s even more odd is that this happened while we were wearing our purses. I never want to go to an 18+ club again. It is full of immature people that don’t know their boundaries, and I hope to god that whoever stole my wallet and my roommate’s phone gets some karma that blows up in their face.

I came here for the GAMeboi event, and thought the venue was OK. It’s two stories, pretty well spaced, and has a lot of room to dance (granted it wasn’t as crowded as I’m sure it can get on some nights).
This place is 18+, which did make me feel a little bit weird about going, but since it was a niche crowd, that wasn’t too worrisome. The second floor has a see through floor, which has some appeal I guess, granted you’ll probably be paying more attention to the hottie tottie standing right in front of you to notice. They also have a side room with a pole…
As for the drinks, I thought they were pretty fairly priced. I got a Long Island, which set me back $ 10, but was pretty strong, so I was happy. This isn’t a club that’s gonna reinvent your clubbing experience, and it lacks the theme or extra «bump» to escalate it to the level of some of the other clubs in the area, but if you’re in that 18+ crowd, you’ll probably have a good time. Definitely one of SFs larger venues.

I’ve been coming here since it was Loft 11 and I was only 20, haha. Now it’s been remodeled into Mist. This was the first place that I had a tokyo tea at, lol.
Compared to Loft 11, Mist is such a nicer two-​story lounge. I like that they took out that horrific and gross waterfall wall. They’ve made strides in reference to design and ambience.
One thing that’s changed but I don’t really like is that on the second floor, the railing now has these strings that you can’t touch. So if you’re looking to peep what’s poppin’ downstairs, be aware that you’re not touching the weird stringy things.
Like all clubs, this place has it’s packed and dead nights. It’s really dependent on the promoter who is throwing the party or if it’s just in house promotions, etc.
In general it’s a really nice lounge for 18+ considering that there aren’t many 18+ venues. I’m not going to many 18+ events these days but there are a million 21+ venues in San Francisco from dive bars to lounges to super clubs. Some people like the venue, others don’t. For what it is, it’s a lot better than some of the clubs I was going to when I was 18 in the ghetto areas of S.F.

I was there once, just survived :) and I won’t back again.

I came here last Saturday (⁶⁄₁₈) for Gameboi SF, which is a downe-​event that happens once a month, not expecting much. Good thing because it was a pretty blah time.
The place definitely has some nice lighting. It’s really swanky lookin and was packed. But the deeper into the club I got, the more disappointing it became. There really is no smoking patio. It’s either the street or the DUNGEON OF DOOM! I swear, it looked like a gas chamber. The green lighting and the swirling cigarette smoke just looked all bad… like some noxious gasses tryna swag me to hell. The bartenders are inconsistent. I ordered 2 Sidecars throughout the night and each bartender made it differently… like…isn’t there a standard recipe when it comes to certain drinks?
The club was definitely too hot and there was not enough seating. I mean, shit. I’m old. I can’t keep up with them 18 new-​to-​clubbing bops no more. As the clock rounded 1 AM, I was ready to leave because shit was gettin HELLA grimy.

ionno. everything on this place seemed like it was the best idea prior to going. The idea of a second floor made out of glass seems awesome and that you’re a hollywood star. nope. it just makes you sober up and think if you’re wearing underwear.
so i went downstairs. ordered a drink. kinda pricey, not strong. then i went over to kind of talk a little and drink because I had danced for so long. I stand for 2 mintues and turn around and see two guys basically having sex on this little seating area before the bathrooms. UGH. they had their shirts off. you would think security would make them at least put their shirts on and tell them to go to a less obvious place. sheesh.
I tried it once again after and no, no, no. just, no.

There are a ton of places to party in SF if your 21+.
This is one is one of the few 18+ left!
For what it is, it’s great!
Nice décor, good bartenders, and safe fun place to party!
They at least tried to make this place look new and trendy when they remodeled unlike other place that just change the name and don’t put and $ or effort into it!

Honestly, the only club I have ever fallen asleep at.
Place was empty when we walked in (our org was hosting an event). I went to the bathroom, sat on the toilet, and fell asleep.

Remember how you held an event on Saturday, Feb 4^th for Bollywood Berkeley?! Do you remember selling tickets MORE than the maximum capacity?! Did you know that an infinite amount of people who DID pay beforehand did not get in? Neither did a lot of the dancers who did perform at Bollywood Berkeley…
I believe it is possible to form 2 lines. those who pre-​paid +dancers and those who didnt. Just sayin…
Did you know those bouncers were being jerks? I understand they are doing their job, which I am all for. You dont have to be buttholes and then sugar coat our asses to stay when we are walking beautifully out of those lines. But I have to give props to those who were respectful, thanks!

Eek! I was so excited to finally get to check out Mist. I got there a little and waited a little for the crowd to arrive. Definitely not my type of crowd. The music was old and the entire place looked used and abused. I was excited to dance on the glass floor but was disappointed by how old and tacky it looked. Definitely not somewhere I want to be going back anytime soon! My girls and I even left early to head over to Sutra.
Drinks were cheap so I guess it was a good pregaming place!!!
