I am updating my previous review because the people here are really nice(from the owner to the person on the phone to the delivery driver) and because my most recent order was delivered really quickly. I tried their pizza this time and I’ll be honest, it was about average. Not bad, not great. I got the Hawaiian pizza. If I was to get pizza again, I would want to try pepperoni. I recommend their Brazilian dishes(I have liked it in the past). I noticed they have profiterol on the menu. Maybe I’ll try that next time too. I want to try their Italian dishes too. However, I don’t like spaghetti. I like angel hair but I don’t see that on the menu. I wonder if they offer that as a substitution or not.

This is my «go to» place for delivered«comfort food!» Everything I have had has been excellent! My favorite food from this place is the Spaghetti with mussels and clams, in thick white garlic sauce and extra clams! You have to ask for the thicker sauce, because the regular sauce is just too thin for me. That being said, the flavor is exceptional! In fact, this is the second time this week I am ordering from them! Their Spinach Salad is awesome. If there is one recommendation I can give you, it is forgo the cheesecake! The first time I ordered it, the slice for the price, was so small it would just fit on a child’s «tea party» saucer! I called to complain, and they offered me a free slice the next time I ordered. So, the next time was earlier this week, and the«big slice,» I was given, was the same size slice! I am done trying their dessert, especially their cheesecake! All of their seafood and produce is fresh, and so tasty! I will always love and order from this place! Enjoy!

I had the spaghetti and meatballs(something simple). I was a bit disappointed because the marinara sauce tasted like the tomato sauce from a can. The meatballs were good though. The service was ok: the hipsters here need to be a little more professional and nice.

Only lost a star for the slow delivery, but man, it was delicious. I got the chicken and eggplant paremesan sandwich, and the eggplant was fabulous. Salad was super crisp and fresh. Also never had profiterole, and it was so good. Fantastic dessert. Looking forward to trying some of the actual Brazilian dishes. Not a fan of their flan(not enough caramelized sugar or dulce de leche I think) or tiramisu.

The bife acebolado is the best steak I’ve ever tried in my life. The meat is cooked perfectly, the caramelized onions, the collared greens and the rice blended perfectly together with each other. Staff is great and place is clean. Highly recommended.

I guess you just get pizza here? I ordered something light. I have this thing: If the starter salad is good, greater things will follow. I thought buttermilk ranch was totally an American thing, salad ain’t edible without it and pizza places know to be ready when you say«side of ranch, please!» Yes, I know it’s Italian/Brazilian but you gotta have good ranch! Ask Toto’s, ask Windy City, ask Americans who eat at restaurants! Ranch dressing here was gross, salad was gross and the french fries, I was totally hoping for fresh but I guess you guys take ‘em out of the freezer. Gross. C’mon, gimmie more love than that? I guess I’ll try the pizza that is supposed to be delicious. But, man, it would have been great to have a tasty appetizer and salad. Sometimes, it’s the little things…

Cornmeal crust is fantastic, and the best place to go before your movie starts! You can eat and have A glass of wine or beer. Don’t shy away from the Brazilian menu– just go for it!

Tasty Pizza, love their chicken Marsala & great service! Probably the best homemade Caesar dressing too! Andrew was our server the last 4 visits & he’s great. Always has great suggestions on Wine too.

The word Brazilian and Italian together as a cuisine got me. We were hungry so we ate heartily, but the food was mediocre. We ordered a small French pizza — the garlic was a bit much and made eating the pizza not enjoyable. We also ordered the moqueca de camarao(shrimp with coconut curry sauce). The six shrimp were absolutely scrumptious(thick and juicy with a good bounce) and the sauce was divine(reminded me of a familiar dish from my own country so may be biased there). Very smooth and had a nice assortment of veggies. But for ~$ 25??? The service was great(they put up with my kiddos who were having a rather bad day) and for that I am thankful! Overall, the food was okay compared to the whopping 45 dollars we spent!

I hate to give a one star here because the food is not that bad. However, I have been ordering here for the past 20 years simply because they had decent mozzarella sticks(East Coast nostalgia thing). Today I ordered what I usually get. Chicken Picatta(very good still!) and some mozzarella sticks. I am now sad to say that there is nowhere I know of to get half way decent mozzerella sticks. MdB has switched to really crappy MS. The batter is now hard and just crappy. I threw them out. Oh well, not like I should be eating these things anyway. Unfortunately, for MdB it was the slight edge they had for me with the competition. After 20 years of consistent ordering, I will go with the guy closer with the same crap mozzarella sticks. Yes this is a review about mozzarella sticks.

The original portuguese pizza has eggs, green olives, ham and etc… The one i was served only had ham, chorizo and onions and black olives. Am i missing something? The crust was well made but to be considered a Brazilian pizzaria and a restaurant it was far away from it. How hard is to serve the original portuguese pizza? They are not hard to get ingredients! For the food i was served and for the next table the food did not match the price.

Food not commensurate with the prices. Mozzarella sticks tasted as if they were frozen and store bought. The pizza crust was doughy and the toppings disappointing in quality, save for the garlic which was nicely toasted. Unfortunately, the friendly service did not make up for the lackluster food. Choose another pizzeria or buy a frozen pizza instead.

Ordered two pizzas and took 1hr 15 mins to deliver. Tipped the driver well despite tip was already added to the bill. Low and behold they screwed up the pizzas. I was told the replacement will be 20 – 25 minutes. 40 minutes later I called again but so frustrated at there ignorance I cancelled.

Do not order delivery hungry! The website states average delivery time of 45 minutes. The two times we have ordered delivery(we live 1.5 miles away) it has taken over 75 minutes. As to food quality — pizza is good and the eggplant Parmesan, but the Brazilian beef dish I ordered contained the toughest pieces of meat I’ve ever been served — not sure I would give it even to my dog. Stick with the Italian, and dine at the restaurant or order delivery on your way home and before you are hangry.

I selected this Pizza restaurant for two reasons; It was the highest rated on Unilocal, and it delivers in my new neighborhood. I was seriously underwhelmed. I bought the largest size. It didn’t taste like sourdough at all. It tasted like a dry pizza that was all crust. I don’t get all the endorsements. I am spoiled by much better pizza than this. There wasn’t much cheese on it, considering the restaurant is named after Mozzarella. I won’t return to this restaurant.

The pizza was delicious, we ordered delivery for my daughter’s birthday. I didn’t expect the pizza to be that good, but I am wrong it is. It was delivered on time too. We will definitely order again next time. And we will come by for dining to since we know it’s delicious.

My go-to place in West Portal. I’ve always had excellent pizza here, whatever I order. I spent an entire summer going here once a week and definitely never wished I were anywhere else. What always stands out to me the most has consistently been the service. Everyone has always been extremely nice and attentive without being overbearing.

Top notch pizza. The place is almost hidden but easy enough to find if you look for the sign. The inside is very nice. Right as you walk in you see the register to the right. This is where you place your order to go or are greeted and then lead to the seating area. The staff is very helpful in taking orders. I was in and out in less that 10 minutes. I was in for a surprise. After I placed my order for two slices I headed on to the back area and took a seat. As I waited I noticed how well the tables were prepared and all the pizza boxes stacked in the back left corner. THEREWERE A LOT. There is also a sofa drink dispenser in the back as well. There is a mix of the different kinds. Below the dispenser is a refrigerator that has canned sodas and I think some bottle beverages as well. Apparently there are two section to this place. The side that I was on was the order and kitchen area while the other side is primarily customer seating. Everyone here is constantly moving and going. No one is standing around which is just crazy. People LOVE pizza so I guess this is to be expected. There is a good flow between the kitchen and the staff which I think makes this place flow so well. When I finally got my food I was surprised by the box side because I was expecting small slices! WRONG! These slices were big and delicious! WONDERFUL! I did not think that the slice would be as big as they were but I am not complaining at all. If I had to give my criticism I would suggest putting cheese in the crust but that is just me wanting more cheese on my pizza. They already have a great model working here, no need to change it now. Great taste… great slice… SOGOOD!

Good service, decent pizza. Worth a try if you’re in West Portal. There’s plenty of options to choose from their menu. I ordered the Di Bufala pizza in the largest size and it was around $ 40 with tax for 10 slices. The flavor was decent, but it wasn’t anything special I would be craving. There was a lot of run off liquid(not oil or sauce) coming from the pizza. It could just be from the vegetables, but I think it could have been made better so as to avoid a soggy pizza. Interior décor is clean with a lot of seating. Staff was attentive.

My review is based on to-go and delivery orders, and not dining in. My recommendation here is to try the New York style pizza, which is more of a four star. You can also order pizza by the slice. They have great pizza crust, tasty sauce(and not too much) and fresh ingredients. Overall, I’ve tried other items on their menu and the zucchini sticks, mozzarella sticks, and carbonara were a-ok, and will likely not order those items again. I’m a big carbonara fan in general and wasn’t too keen on the fact that they use ham instead of pancetta or bacon, and a parmesan cheese sauce rather than just the egg. I will say they have good customer service and timely delivery if you live in the area.
