Creaking windows? Lazy doors? Poor central heating? You will love it ! This place brings charming to a whole new level. When you enter the place, it boasts a 1950’s era chandelier… as you walk up the stairs, cyclists may find a no-lock-needed area for their bikes. Don’t forget to bring your own booze(and sometimes toilet paper), as this establishment gets little or no help from distributors. It has seen many local faces – artists & musicians, up & comers and down & outs. The food is quite fickle, it changes on a daily basis depending upon the chef’s mood and/or sous chef. The best part about this place is that it makes you feel at home. It opens seasonally as a bed & breakfast, with easy access to better local eateries like«Q» or «Eats». Watch the evening traffic as it does sit on Clement. Poor parking, late night police activity & drunkards as well as a lazy(and quite possibly homeless) security guard named Lawrence. Its 15-foot-high ceilings make for poor heating throughout, but the warm hearts that pass through it often keep it at an enjoyable temperature.
