Can’t go wrong with popcorn chicken. The soft fried tofu is yummy, too. I’m a wuss, so I ordered it mild. The tea was perfect. Service was great. Food got to me fast and servers friendly and attentive. Added bonus, outlet at each booth so I can charge my dying phone, and there’s WiFi. In this era of rush-rush, it is good to know that good customer still exists. They take plastic(I never carry cash), but there is a $ 10 minimum. And there is a punch card for my teas. Yup. I will be back.

Good creamy milk tea but out of boba at only 6pm on Saturday. Sadness. Bonuses are friendly service and parking off to the side.

I liked their teas. Food was really dry Liked the atmosphere really nice and quite good place to study and do home work but they don’t really have that much tables and chairs the couch was a bit uncomfortable. they also need to have ranch!!!

I love this place! Has free back parking. Employees are very welcoming and greet you almost at the door. Positive vibes! Employees try to engage with customers always! :) The place is spacious, nice comfortable furniture. I love the drinks! They love what they do and I love all their drinks! Recommend this place so much! I love it!

Have you ever been inside a tea house and forgotten it’s name? Only in California, the land of a million tea houses. I walked into this place and was quite impressed. Stellar design, great menu, and the service– oh the service. Let me tell you what the service was like via a question. Have you ever been to a 5 star hotel? Yes, it’s like that. I ordered my drink, the clasp my credit card with two hands as classic Asian tradition mandates, and when they bring out your drink, they ask you if you enjoy it or would like to fix it. SOLONG, are the days that require an argument for a bad drink. SOLONG are the days of dealing with imbalanced sweetness. As I was leaving this land of superbia, I told myself, «wow, they went above and beyond, they really do deserve an A Plus.»

Friends and I went out to A+ Tea House before heading to Christmas Tree Lane, for a refreshing drink. We both checked in on Unilocal for their Free Upgrade. When I got my drink, the Sea Salt Latte with Black Tea, it was a regular size. When we asked about it, the server said«Sorry about that» but didn’t change the size, so ding for them. The drink itself was lackluster. I’m an extreme sea salt cream fan, so I’m pretty particular about it. The cream wasn’t very salty, and the drink was bland. Not sweet or salty like I was expecting, but was actually slightly bitter, due to the aftertaste. Friends and I agreed, «yep, you can definitely taste the latte» when I asked about the bitterness. Wasn’t very creamy either. You can definitely find better sea salt cream at other boba joints in San gabriel My friend ordered the Grapefruit Orange Green Tea, because it was the number one drink on the menu. Definitely grapefruit-y at first sip, with the orange taste coming in right after. Didn’t taste artificial, which is so great! It was refreshing, but should probably be enjoyed during the summer. Beware of the bitter aftertaste though! Reason it was 3 stars instead of 2 is because of the atmosphere! It was quiet, and seems like the perfect hang out/study spot! Overall, I’ve tasted better, but for a quick fix, I would settle for this place. Probably a C+ grade, definitely not A+

I had the braised chicken with vermicelli noodle soup, shared the popcorn chicken and the unsweetened jasmine tea. Braised chicken-had great flavor and it was browned. just the way I like it. I didn’t care for the salad and cucumber/squash dish that came as a side Vermicelli noodle soup-very bland… wasn’t a fan. Didn’t even eat a fourth of it. Popcorn chicken-good but not crispy on the outside. Jasmine tea-bold, deep flavor. Overall, this place is very cute but the food was mediocre. Nothing against this joint, and I would’ve loved to tried their speciality drinks, but wasn’t feeling the sweets that day.

I came here with my coworkers during lunch and this place is pretty clean. Make sure you check in for a free upgrade! I ended up getting the sea salt latte with green free free upgrade to large 50% and popcorn chicken. The other drinks on the menu looked just as good like the Hokkaido candy. Probably gonna get that next time. The popcorn chicken wasn’t that good. It was a little too salty for me. The sea salt latte could be a little sweeter. I’ll ask for 70% next time. Oh and you can switch the sugar for honey so it’s healthier! 4 stars because the food isn’t that good.

I LOVETHEIRPOPCORNCHICKENOVERRICE!!! This place has become our new favorite place to hang after work ^~^ Yummy food, good drinks and friendly service. Free upgrade to large w/check-in! Only down side is the long wait for food. If food came out faster I’ll definitely be giving this place a 5star! ^~^

Bomb diggity green brown sugar milk tea. I got it ½ sweet but I have a low tolerance for sweetness. I think 75% or regular sweetness would be perfect for most people. Service super nice & the couches are so commmfyyyyyyyy. &To the people who complain about non English speaking workers, you’re arrogant as fuck. Be empathetic to those who work their asses off usually in lower than minimum wage pay jobs. They’re just tryna survive in a completely new country. Have some patience my goodness! There’s a lot of boba places in San Gabriel/Arcadia area & this is one of the better ones

Generally, the drinks here are good – in particular the oolong milk tea with fresh milk. And with Unilocal check-in, you get a free upgrade to large or one free topping. Recently, I also tried the hot grass jelly, which is the largest serving of grass jelly dessert I have ever seen – you get it in a huge ceramic bowl, topped with three items of your choice: sweet potato and taro balls are great, but they do take an additional 20 minutes to make. While I was notified of this, I actually had to wait 40 minutes for my order, and I’m not sure why, since there weren’t many other customers present and everyone who came after me had already gotten their orders. Also, I’m not sure why they never offered me a stamp card – and thus I never knew they have a stamp card system until I was paying at the counter the other day and saw at the very bottom of one sign to «ask for a stamp card.» How conveniently inconspicuously placed… Anyway, the menu also includes a variety of food items, and the lunch special includes a drink. I tried the popcorn chicken once, and while the portion was sizeable, the taste was just okay. Wi-fi is available, but I think they limit it on the weekends now because it gets so crowded. That’s according to the sign I’ve seen in the past few weeks, anyway. I was a fan, but my opinion has gone down during my last two visits. I’d still come back, but just not with as much enthusiasm.

As far as boba places go, this one sits an a good kind of different than the rest. 4.5 FOODQUALITY: While I’ve only tried a few pieces of the popcorn chicken, it’s cooked better than most and has more juices from the batch that my friend had. The drinks here are pretty solid too; the tea delivers good tea flavors(floral for jasmine, roasted earthiness for oolong) without any sugar added to either. Sea salt latte is topped with a thicker, richer kind of cream but as far as flavors go. it’s a little salt that brings out more sweetness. Flavored teas are supposed made with real fruit except those marked by asterisks on the menu. Holds somewhat true since they used orange juice in part of their grapefruit orange tea. Still good! When drinks are ordered at ½ or ¼ sugar, there’s a good balance of sweetness and tea flavor that makes the drink refreshing on a summer day without feeling gross from too consuming too much sugar. SERVICE: They make an effort to accommodate customers as much as possible since they’ve just started. They are happy to get you water, fix your drinks, and ask you if you need anything. ENVIRONMENT: I have to say it’s one of the nicer tea places in the San Gabriel Valley area; temperature is always cool/consistent, comfortable seats to sit in, and it’s clean. Earthy and cream color tones make this place very inviting, except it’s a little distracting when their TVs are showing random Asian music videos that are flashy and. noisy. Overall, I’ve been coming here somewhat often, and this is a place I’d pick over other places for boba.

I usually don’t write one star reviews but I’m really upset about the new wifi policy and how the workers handled the situation. I come here pretty often to study on the weekends. I came in today to study with my friends, and apparently theres a new wifi policy, theres no more wifi on weekends because of the«limited seating»… there were plenty of empty tables when we came in. Thats not even the upsetting part, I’m pissed at the way they handled the situation. We were unpacking our things and then we ordered our drinks. they obviously KNEW we were there to study, why didn’t they tell us about this rule as we were ordering??? I find that super shady… All of a sudden they post up a paper on the front door right after we ordered our drinks, stating theres no wifi on the weekends??? They should’ve just refused service since the beginning if they didn’t want us there using their wifi. I will never return after today.

Meeting up with some friends for boba on a Monday night meant that an alternative location needs to be secured because Factory Tea Bar is closed on Mondays. Out of the many SGV options, we decided to try A Plus Tea House. They have a small — quite small — parking lot that fills up quickly. I arrived at 8 pm and got the last spot. My friends had to fend for street parking, even settling for spots on dark streets that are not quite safe to walk by yourself. Note: have friends parked in the parking lot to drop you by your car for safety. A Plus mostly have tables inside with 2 couch seating areas on the left. I could see that most of the people here order meals while studying like you would in a boba shop. I opted for a boba drink instead. A Unilocal check-in gets you a free topping or a size upgrade. I ordered one of their top 5 popular drinks — the grapefruit orange green tea — with both a boba topping and size upgrade. Not bad, but their boba is not my favorite. Drinks were also pricey, even after the Unilocal check-in deal. Mines ended up being $ 6.50, the most I’ve paid for a boba drink!

Really good drinks! People work here were friendly and helpful recommending drinks. I enjoyed their specialty drinks such as strawberry mints bubbles which was made of fresh strawberries blended with mint in soda water. Very refreshing during hot summer days. Friend’s signature milk latte green tea was very good too! Must stir it before you drink to get the full taste of it. If you are confused on what to order here, please just check out their top recommendations.

Popped by for a quick snack — Popcorn Chicken and Iced Sea Salt Green Tea Latte(I was gonna get the Strawberry Green Tea, but saw the Sea Salt Green Tea Latte instead :). Total amount was $ 10. Drinks are a bit pricey, but for the 100 degree heat, it hit the spot :) The popcorn chicken was juicy and delicious! It came out quick — less than 5mins! Generous amount of big chunks and not dry, yay! The right amount of saltiness :) Would definitely get this again! The Iced Sea Salt Green Tea Latte was refreshing with the right amount of sea salt added, and the foam was creamy and yummy too — drink overall wasn’t too sweet. Did the Unilocal check in and got my drink upgraded to a large. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back, especially, to try out their fried sweet potato balls next time.

Unilocal Check-In Offer: Free Size Upgrade or Free Topping A Plus Tea House is another great boba place in the 626! My friend and I came here after lunch in the area and we were very pleased with the taste and quality of the tea drinks. After reading the reviews, I decided to get the popular Grapefruit orange green tea and got a free large upgrade(more worth it than the topping). The tea itself was very refreshing and had the right proportion of tartness and sweetness. I highly recommend it. My friend got Peach green tea with boba(their boba is pink!) and she enjoyed her drink too. The workers there are nice. Stamp cards available. There’s plenty of tables and nice couches for studying and hangouts. This place is somewhat across the street from Fresh Roast and behind the 7-Eleven. There’s a small little lot in front of the tea house as well as additional parking behind the building.

They opened one year ago. I experienced the food and drinks today and it’s average. Starting from the fact, that they still had their Christmas tree and ornaments at the fireplace out of laziness not to take it out I find it quite unprofessional(It’s end of summer). If that’s their business philosophy I’m not sure if this place will survive another year. The Taiwanese Cold Noodle I ordered was acceptable, however the portion was very small. The Lemon Ice Tea with Jelly I ordered was average. I only ordered it, because they didn’t know what DAIRYFREE or LACTOSEINTOLERANT is. I got tired explaining to them what that means so I can hopefully order my whatever milk tea. But, because she didn’t understand it she said: «Just to be safe, don’t order milk» Well problem solved I guess. How about telling me to leave, because you don’t speak English? Problem solved right?(That was a joke) I can’t believe people think they can open such a Tea business without training their staff properly. They charge only $ 2 for drinks when you order food. But on the check they made a mistake and still charged me $ 5 for the drink and had to correct it. Furthermore it’s MINIMUM $ 10 for CREDITCARD or else 50cent charge SUPERWEIRDLY on my check they gave me the amount I had to pay. After I told them I pay with card, there was this 50cent extra but then again they added tax. Did they just add tax on top of already taxed check or was it tax free before I asked to pay with card? I feel like they roll the dice when they give you the check. — — — — — — — — — – The only PROS I found at this place, and unfortunately it’s nothing drink or food related, which is the main reason people come to such place, are: — very friendly people working here — very helpful — it’s small and and has a home, cozy living room feel(I guess, because of the fireplace and the couches) — FREEWIFI — Unilocal check in gives you free topping or drink size upgrade Would I want to come back? Maybe only for WIFI and hang out and the cheapest drink so they allow me to stay here.

I have been to A Plus Tea House several times now, and the quality of the drinks and the food definitely deserves an A+ in my book. The storefront is pretty big, close to the railroad tracks(behind Seven Eleven) with a small parking lot as well as street parking. There’s table seating but also some comfy couch areas as well. I think the tea house can fit a good number of people inside. I really like the modern feel to A Plus. Really makes for a comfortable environment to relax and chat with friends. I think I’ve been here more than 3 times, but I find myself going back to get the same drinks. I’ve tried the honey green milk tea(hot) with boba, grapefruit orange green tea with boba, and Hokkaido cream green tea with boba. I haven’t had any complaints — I really liked everything. Honey green tea had good flavor and the boba was nice and chewy with enough sweet flavor. Hokkaido cream green tea was also good, but I felt the Hokkaido was a bit too sweet and caramel-y for my liking. But when it mixed with the tea, it wasn’t bad. But I have to say that my favorite drink so far has been the grapefruit orange green tea. There’s three different ingredients in that drink and I could honestly taste each individual flavor. But even though I could get grapefruit, orange, and green tea, it also tasted really amazing together. And add some boba into the drink … definitely a winner! I’ve heard good things about the strawberry rose green tea, so I will be back to try that one out. My friend really enjoys the popcorn chicken from A Plus as well. He says that the amount they give you is perfect, and that you can really taste the chicken and not just the breaded part of the chicken piece. The servers are extremely nice and helpful. If you order a drink to be consumed at the restaurant, I believe they offer a 50% off discount if you’d like it to be refilled. There’s free Wi-Fi. And don’t forget the Unilocal check-in promotion where you can get a free size upgrade or free topping. The drinks at A Plus are fairly expensive, so the upgrade helps a lot. If all the drinks were $ 1 cheaper … I think that would be a fair price. But the quality is good and keeps me coming back. And don’t forget to get a stamp card. I’ve seen pictures of the humongous drink you’re able to get if you reach a certain number of stamps. tl;dr — Drinks are really good albeit a little expensive. Don’t forget the Unilocal check-in offer and definitely try out drinks that are off of their recommended drinks list.

Pricey for regular drinks but worth it if you check in on Unilocal and get the free upgrade. If you’re dining in, you can get re-fills on your drink for half the price. I mainly come for the drinks — not super sweet and if you order the fruit flavored ones, they grind bits and pieces of real fruits in it like whole foods style. Dined in a few times and thought it was average. Everyone seems to recommend the deep fried potato balls but the potato balls tasted a bit too hard and oily for me. I’m sure it’s a matter of preference because friends of mine who enjoy deep fried food in general seem to enjoy this particular dish a lot. The shaved ice/dessert was also average only because there are just way too many shaved ice places in this area that are just as good and affordable. They can’t complete, for sure. In terms of service, they tend to cater to people who dine-in than to those who order it to go. Once, I’ve waited 30 minutes for 2 drinks, and another time, about 45 minutes on the same, with an added popcorn chicken. They’ve gotten A LOT better in recent days, and hence, why I’ve started coming here a lot more. Either way, good service because the people there are always kind and courteous. Two thumbs up for me.
