I ate at this«Sizzler» on Rosemead Blvd. many many times. Very sorry to see it close. I would have given it a 5 if it was still open. It was there for many years and I have many fond memories.

Terrible. There were two groups ahead of us and they were so slow getting people’s orders. After 15 mins and we were still in line we decided to leave. Never coming back here.

There’s a reason why I haven’t been to a Sizzler since I was a kid in elementary. I don’t even know how to comment. I mean the pictures ‘looked’ good though! Let’s just say I got sick after. This restaurant is just not for me.

I came here because I signed up for their eclub as well as won a $ 10 gift card from their Facebook page! Two Mega Bacon Cheeseburgers with endless salad bar = ~ $ 10 for two = happy bf and me :) The burger is absolutely delicious but filling if you go to the salad bar first because the stuff there is pretty good too. We usually get is the salad, carnitas, nachos and buffalo wings. The soups were so-so in flavor and the fries were a bit cold. But over all, it was a great meal. Be sure to ask for their cheesy toast! The service was amazing. Our server, Adriana, was so friendly, and said she worked at the Sizzler’s near USC for 17 years. She was so approachable and made a lot of small talk every time she came by. Even though she was the only one on the floor, she was still very nice and efficient/proactive. Needless to say, she got a good tip before we left! She gave me lots of mints and toothpicks as a sign of appreciation so that was pretty funny.

Sizzler=Old Faithful. I used to come here with my parents all the time back in the day. I’ve always been a big fan of sizzler because it’s SALADBAR is the best!!! The staff there seem to have been there for a very long time. Also they’re very friendly. Well the lady that i had was extremely nice and gave me everything i needed to start my rounds at the salad bar. I forgot her name but its a young hispanic lady whom i guess works the lunch hour. She’ll come and talk to you and introduce herself. You’ll know who i’m talking about if you go around lunch time. The food isn’t half bad. Especially for the price you pay. A 6oz steak with unlimited shrimp for 10.99? come on now, that should be a steal. Plus you can add the unlimited salad, soup, hot bar, and dessert for only 2.99 more? This place is heaven, especially during this recession era. Anyways stop being so negative and come back to sizzler to give it another shot. Everyone wants to relive their childhood memories!!!

Was hesitant to come here after reading some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised actually. The quality of food was good, good atmosphere, was pleased with the salad and hot bar choices, employees are pleasant and friendly, and manager was very accommodating to a special food request. I’m quite satisfied and will definitely come back for more!

Sizzler is what it is. The steaks are what you pay for it and the salad bar is a great way to start off your meals. The best is the lunch hamburger special with salad bar for $ 7.99. Sign up for the Email club and get a BOGO coupon that is awesome! My tip: Grab your salad and top it wth some warm chicken wings :)

Sizzler is great for what it is. When you go there and order a 6oz steak for 7.99 with a salad bar with it, expecting a Houston’s level steak is an extremely unfair comparison. And shame on those people who actually come to Sizzler and are disappointed that it’s not Hometown Buffet. Really? A few thoughts The salad bar is great, probably the best Ranch Dressing I have ever tasted anywhere. People also need to remember that it’s called a «Salad Bar» and not a buffet. Other than maybe some Vegas buffets, is there really any place that offers more for just a salad bar? The fact that there is a hot bar, soup, and dessert is a bonus. Disappointed that the Hibachi sauce isn’t the same as it once was. It’s not bad, but not quite the same. The Clam Chowder is delicious. The carnitas tacos are surprisingly good off of the hot bar. Cheese toast doesn’t come unless you ask for it. I can understand the reason, my family isn’t a big fan and could care less about it. The AYCE shrimp is cheap, but you won’t pay $ 15 dollars for the grilled skewers, not even at Sizzler. All in all, I go to Sizzler when I want a simple meal. I know what I am getting into by going there. If I want a gourmet and fancy meal, I’ll head somewhere else. When I want Sizzler, I head to Sizzler.

$ 7.99 for a lunch combo that comes with soft drink and one trip to the salad bar. additional $ 2.99 to make it unlimited trips. the low price makes this place pretty great to me. the food is mediocre but not terrible. the salad bar options are limited meatballs, tacos, spaghetti, chicken wings, potato wedges. their cheese bread(free by request) and diet pepsi is delicious!

We went back and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Rib Eye Steak. Very big and juicy. Good job, Sizzler.

Signed up for the e-mail club and got a BOGO coupon. I got the salmon, wife got a trio plate w/carne asada(well done), shrimp, and chicken. Salmon and chicken were dry. Shrimp was OK. Carne asada was tough(OK, it’s how we ordered it), but flavor didn’t seem right. Salad bar — decent. Good, tender carnitas. Chicken wings are juicy. The rest of it acceptable. Service was good. I still love the cheese toast here. But we were underwhelmed with pretty much everything else, even with low expectations. I’m unsubscribing from the e-club.

Came here cuz my father-in-love is in love with this place, and he had coupons. We all had the all-you-can-eat salad bar. The selection wasn’t that big, and the taste wasn’t that good. With that money, I’d rather go to Souplantion where the selection is wider and quality is better.

Went here with the fam on Friday night, and it will be our last visit. Once again, the ‘Person Most Undeserving of a Job Especially in This Economy’ was working the cash register so it took about 15 minutes to even place our order. He got one of the orders totally wrong(he gave one of us rice pilaf instead of fries. EW!) and the waiter was useless. They don’t even give you bread before your meal anymore. CHEAP! And even though we went there just an hour before closing time and there was a ton of food over at the salad bar, he harassed us when we took a small piece of watermelon. Two of the people who ordered cheeseburgers got hamburgers instead, so those had to be sent back. It’s a shame they have to be so lame there, but there are so many other eating options, it just doesn’t make sense to ever go back there again.

i remember enjoying sizzler as a kid… it was like a treat when my parents decided on sizzler for dinner since we hardly went out to eat. and i loved the all-you-can-eat shrimp! these days… its just not the same. lunch time here doesn’t get busy at all. it still has that dark and kinda musty feel inside when you walk in to a sizzler. i tried the lemon herb chicken with veggies. the chicken eh. it felt like the chicken fillets you get in the frozen section of the grocery store… tho i can season those much better. the veggies were over-steamed and some of the broccoli weren’t all that green. my co-worker had the steak and grilled shrimp. she said the steak was surprisingly good. i had some of her shrimp and it was just eh. i did enjoy the mango lemonade. yea, that’s about it…

My family and i went here for lunch today, we wanted Hometown Buffet but, the lines were forever ending. I ordered the endless shrimp with a salad bar. My Husband had the steak with shrimp skewers. They didn’t have many selections at the salad bar. We had to remind the waitress on refilling our drinks and i kept on asking her more plates for my salad bar. The service was terrible.

I’ve been to this place… and will remember it forever. They serve the world’s smallest«giant prawn» ever… my Asian pinky is bigger than their«giant prawn», batter included! Do me a favor, go to Apple Bees or Chili’s instead.

«Sizzler! Can we go?» (After going) «Let’s never go here again.» There are like no vegetarian options here besides the salad bar for 7.99. And, it’s really bad — not worth it at all. There is a significant difference between the salads at this Sizzler and the Souplantation I go to, that’s for sure. The only thing I liked was their free toast that they serve to you as appetizer, mmm. We couldn’t help but ask for seconds. Anyway, I like making a sundae, too… It wasn’t as clean as other places though. There were m&m’s in the oreos or nuts in the oreos and what not. The chocolate fudge was like empty so it splat out and everything… When I got to the salad bar, I had only the leftover lettuce, etc. Maybe I’m just hard on them because Souplantation is never like that. The employees are always cleaning up and I never have to wait for them to add more food… But mmmmm toast!

When I used to work in the area, this was the place of choice when we couldn’t think of anywhere else to go, but not in a negative way. It’s varied menu accomodated just about everyone, and it allowed me to get the occassional steak and all-you-can-eat-shrimp. The décor is a little bit dated and dark, but the staff was warm and friendly, so that balanced it out. The staff was always available to bring out more bread and kept our drinks topped off. Sure, this isn’t the best steak you are ever going to have in your life, but in the SGV, you take what you can get. Plus, this was the only place in town that gave me a discount because of my employer!
