This was my second time having KBBQ and it was definitely my best experience with it thus far(the first time being in Boston and lets be honest, West Coast is better than East Coast for Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc… food). However, upon comparing it to Japanese BBQ I’ve had before, I can’t say its better. Its comparable in the sense that it’s cheaper and still good, but still have to hand it to Japanese BBQ for having better meat. The good: meat was pretty good, prices were great, and just a great vibe overall. The meh: service. Waiters weren’t always very good at switching our grills when they would get gunked up and having gone during the week, the place wasn’t packed at all. Would still definitely recommend and come here again.

Came here for a friends feast of delectable meats and seafood. We arrived right before the heavy dinner rush. It’s a little pricier than I’d usually pay for but, it was a nice splurge. We got plates and plates of meat; brisket, pork & beef belly, pork ribs, steak, bulgogi, baby octopus, tongue! Then banchan kept coming and they were generous with their portions. We all got bowls of rice for the yummy. The meats were fresh and tender. The servers came to check on us quite often and made sure our grills were changed. The kimchi was pretty good but could’ve been a bit spicier. The potato salad was very good. The pickled cucumbers were my fave; it was cute into chunky pieces. It was a nice weekend dinner with friends. The servers were friendly and attentive. Also, ordered the steamed egg and clam and tofu soup; both were delicious and even better with rice. AYCE!!! They have great premium cuts that was worth it for the price. Gotta get more!

One of the best AYCEKBBQ places I’ve been too. We came here for a coworker dinner so we were able to secure reservations. The meat selection was great and really quality stuff. They had great cuts of brisket with just the right amount of fat. The beef tongue tasted good and their marinated dishes were great as well. We got their kalbi short ribs and bulgolgi. Both of which has great flavors and weren’t just sweetened meat(like some places taste). You could taste the salty, the sweet and the umami in their flavorings. I love how they have a self serve area for radish slices, salad and noodles. The desserts are all fruits so its perfect for healthy people! They’re also really good at coming by for grill changes.

I really wanted to like this place more! I’ve been here twice now, the first time was for a friend’s birthday and service was good but the guy was also one a friend of a friend… and since we were in such a big group, it was hard to tell good service vs bad. This time I went with just my boyfriend and there was no service. There also wasn’t a lot of people which blew my mind even more… it was pretty frustrating that we had to use the little buzzer for every little thing, I feel like server etiquette 101 is to at least OCCASIONALLY check on your table. It was even more annoying that when I pressed the button they would come over with an annoyed look on their face… like…I didn’t want to press it but I had no choice, geez. I honestly would have gave a lower rating but I still like the food. Good quality is definitely on the higher end of AYCE Korean BBQ places, presentation is good, portion is good, quality is good. My favorite was the pork shoulder with sea salt! Nicely salted, no sauce needed! Beef tongue will always be a favorite as well, they have nice thick cuts yum! Love the salad bar, the baek kimchi(white napa kimchi), the japchae, the oden! Food variety and everything is great! Just that day time service needs to step it’s game up please.

I am reluctantly writing this update. I have been coming here since they opened. Unfortunately a few things of changed recently. The first, is that the prices have increased. It is now $ 30 per person for dinner and around 26 for lunch. The bigger problem, however, is that I have gotten violently ill from food poisoning the last three times I’ve gone for dinner. I went once for lunch recently and did not have this problem. I do not know if this is because of the staff or other customers affecting the buffet section, or because something unsanitary is going on with the meats. However, it is not just me. My old lady has also gotten violently sick the last three times. Combining the food poisoning with the increase in prices, I doubt I will be rushing back, which is a shame as it is around the corner and I love KBBQ.

They take reservations, so use that to your advantage. Just keep in mind that you have to arrive within 15 minutes, everyone in your party must be there, and there still may be a small wait if the first two are completed. They’re usually really good about sitting you quickly if you have a reservation. It’s AYCE, so don’t be afraid to try all the different meats. My favorites are the brisket, pork belly, and the non-marinated sirloin. You can order up to three meats at once. Get a few briskets throughout the night because they don’t require a lot of time on the grill. There’s also a salad bar where you can load up on some of your favorite side dishes. Other then that, the service is pretty awesome! Additional parking is located behind the Pep Boys.

Not a bad spot for AYCE. Average wait for a small group during dinner is 45 minutes to an hour. Upon check in, they get your number so they are able to text you when your table is ready. Once seated, prepare to wait more to place your order and drinks. I guess it is safe to say due to the high volume of customers. The side bar has a very limited selection compared to other BBQ spots. They have the usual cold noodles, spicy fish cakes, and soup. The meat selection and quality is pretty good. I do prefer the quality at All That BBQ in Santa Anita. We selected 1, 3, 5, and 8(the favorite). The offer steamed eggs but I wasn’t too crazy about the flavor. Service is good but be prepared to flag the staff down since it is a very busy restaurant. The busboys are on top of it, cleaning tables and prepping them like there is no tomorrow. The servers are always smiling and friendly but hurried. Parking can be tight and prepare for a little walk, which is not actually a bad thing once you are done eating all that meat!

Best AYCE kbbq I’ve ever had. Better than my favorite All That in Irvine. Better than the og «premium AYCE» Gen in Tustin. Though it’s slightly more expensive than other AYCE kbbq places, the extra few dollars is very worth the meat quality. The service isn’t the best, but they come by enough so your table is never wanting of meat. And just know you won’t be leave this place reeking of meat and oil; their vents are located in the grill and catches the majority of all the smell! Right off the bat, our party of four ordered bulgogi, marinated short ribs, wine marinated pork belly and brisket. Since our party of four partied the night before, we, unfortunately, had very small appetites for protein, save for one — my brother in law who can always eat. Everything for our first round was GREAT, so much flavor, very tender and great quality; the portions for each dish is enough to share for a decent group, too. I really liked the bulgogi here, since it was not so syrupy, grilled really well! Surprisingly, I liked it a lot more than expected and probably ate that cut the most! But the other meats were notable, too — the brisket had stellar marbling, and marinated items were perfect. I recommend the wine marinated pork belly… it’s so tender and grills like a dream. The cherry on top is their side dishes and… the beautiful salad bar! They offer a self-serve section for veggies, jap chae, extra ban chan, etc. but the stars of the salad bar are the soft stewed beef and ddukbokki. The rice noodles are so chewy and the spicy sauce cuts all the way through the eggs and fish cakes — what a deal. I know it’s a «filler» dish, but for some reason, I can eat WAY more of this than meat… your girl just loves her carbs –_– The salad bar also offers extra dipping sauces, and my favorite for meat is the ssamjang, the soybean sauce. It’s a little smelly, a little spicy and goes perfectly well with sweet-marinated grilled meats! If you’ve never had it, you gotta try it. Mmm, this is definitely my number 1 kbbq spot right now. I highly recommend this place for small and big groups alike. If you don’t like what they have to offer, I’ll come by and eat your leftovers. Cool? Cool. Drool.
