I love having this donut shop in my neighborhood. The donuts are great. The coffee is strong and fresh. Their bagel/croissant breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Parking is easy. We haven’t tried their ice cream, boba, lunch sandwiches, or other offerings. The folks behind the counter(Mom/Dad/Son?) are almost always friendly, helpful, and patient. Often we’re surprised by extra donut holes or even a bonus donut. Very rarely they might have an off day or a really big crush of customers. I don’t mind. They’re human. I like buying donuts from humans. If I wanted a standard, anonymous, corporate transaction, I’d go to Krispy Kreme, Safeway’s bakery, or Starbucks for a scone. Tips from my experience: * For the best donut selection, get there before 9am. This is pretty standard for small donut shops. They usually have good donuts all day, but if you have your heart set on something specific like their apple fritters, you need to reset your expectations. * Their egg/bacon/cheese on the jalapeño bagel is amazing. The individual ingredients are simple, but together they blow me away. My family fights over it. If you want the jalapeño bagel experience, get there early. 8am often means getting the last one.

The applefritter is literally cold. Good flavor, flat, crispy and big. But I think I’d rather have Almaden Donuts fritter. It’s not bad but I’ve had much better. The kid at the counter was super nice though. 5 stars to him

The best fresh doughnuts! You can feel the love with how it just melts in your mouth. It’s a simple little mom’s and pop’s place, so i’m definitely a supporter! :D

I came back to Fresh Donuts last Saturday, and again today. I have become addicted to the croissant breakfast sandwich that is an omelet with tomato, onions and avocado on a buttery delicious croissant. I have been thinking all week about that croissant sandwich I had last Saturday, so there was no doubt I would be coming in again. Today it was packed with people, some sharing a table and others waiting patiently in line. I like the fact that if you buy a donut or two, when you open the bag to have one, they have surprised you with a couple of free donut holes. A great touch! I will be back again and again, every member of this family-owned business is friendly and kind and very accommodating. Today a woman ordered a breakfast sandwich without any bread(I guess she was cutting down) so they made it for her and charged a reduced price. Now that’s outstanding customer service!

This is your typical, run-of-the-mill doughnut shop that is just doing a service to its community: just make doughnuts. They’re devoid of care, artistry, and creativity. And taste. Simply put: if you crave carbs and/or donuts, come here.

The doughnut shop owner is unfriendly and impolite to my students which go to her shop almost weekly. We constantly have to request a receipt(we keep them and send home to parents) after every transaction. More than once we have asked for a receipt just after walking away and she refuses to print saying that it will make her records off. All customers should be given receipts and should not have to ask every single time. The food is good.

We used to bring our kids here when they were little as a treat. Now that they are teens they ride their bikes here all the time. Has been a very popular place after sleepovers in my house. My kids love to pick up some donuts on the way to the cabana club swim practice down the street. The people are always friendly and the donuts are good. It doesn’t have to be a fancy donut shop to make it a good donut. You won’t find fancy here but you will find fresh donuts!

The first word in your tag list is ‘bagel’. You only had 2 bagels. How? And it’s 9am. 3 stars because the donuts were fab, but we really needed bagels. We took your last two bagels, but then felt bad because half of your menu was bagel sandwiches and there were no more after we left!

Sometimes you just want a simple donut and some unpretentious coffee. This is the place in my neighborhood. The donuts are fresh with a reasonable selection of the standards. The small coffee is just the right portion size, and they have several brews to choose from. On nice days sit outside at one of the tables and just be in the moment for a while.

Listen up… The Best FRENCHCRULLERS ever!!! The French Cruller is my favorite donut and is hard to find… till now. This place makes the absolute best ones, fluffy and crunchy on the outside and springy and moist on the inside. If you want them get there early as the typically sell out. The crossants are big and flaky and she makes a killer egg and ham sandwich complete with salt n pepper on the egg. They give you a few donut holes with each order! Check it out, right behind Weinerschnitzel.

I really don’t get it. Everything was just ok and place was small. Service was crappy and choices were limited. Not going back. I have no idea how anyone would give this place a 5 star.

Came for their breakfast sandwiches the other day around 10am; unfortunately they were out of bagels, so the next best choice was croissants. I had the egg, bacon, and cheese, which did the trick but then again, it’s not too difficult to mess up. Was disappointed that the 2 additional donuts I picked up were stale already.

From my donut tour last summer where I tried donuts from all over San Jose and Los Gatos: Fresh Donuts was one of my favorite donuts. Contrary to popular belief not every donut is the same. Their donut is the perfect combination of fluffiness, doughiness, texture and sweetness. Krispy Kreme is good, but it’s not doughy enough for me and too sweet. Fresh Donut is what a good donut should taste like: satisfying which limits you to 1, consistent and they always give you extra donut holes! Generosity these days is rare and the family that owns this place is very generous and usually adds some extra donut holes to my order. I’ve tried their croissants and bagels, but their donuts are king. I wish the coffee was a little better to stave off a Peet’s run afterward, but it’s decent enough for a donut shop if you only have time for one stop. Get the coconut donut, it’s awesome!

Recently tried the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich on sliced bread. This is also awesome. Simple but delicious.

Pretty darn good but average donut. Staff member was aloof to begin with, but warmed up as my two toddlers were unrelenting in their demand for attention. In fairness, were there in mid afternoon, at the end of the Donut Day.

If you’re looking for a good breakfast sandwich, this is a great place. Choose from fresh made crescents or bagels, sausage or beacon. The donuts are good too. The coffee could be better, but for less than $ 6 for a big sandwich and coffee, it’s hard too complain. I walk here 2 to 3 days a week.

I think the owners here are from Burma – I think the picture they used to have on the wall is a scene from there;family-owned place. The apple fritters are nice and big here, crispy at the edge with a touch of brown. You get a couple doughnut holes with each order, and when I’ve come here near closing they have given me an extra doughnut or two as well! The French crullers are really good here. The ice cream cones are very cheap here. Since they just put in a new tub of mango, I got a scoop of that and coconut – very soft, hadn’t had time to get hard yet. One criticism is that the scoops used to be a little bigger when the lady was cashiering here, and she would fill up the cone, too.

Stopped here because of the Unilocal ratings — What? I don’t get it. Average donut at best. Stiff service WITH rules — where you’re supposed to stand to order, who qualifies to receive a box… Donut nazi — that’s what this place is! Want an average donut with rude service from a ripped t-shirted clerk in a cluttered old atmosphere — then yeah, this is the place. Not for me. Tried it once. Won’t be back.
