this place fcked up our order. they mixed the wrong noodles and vegetables. are you serious? how hard is it to remember which fcking spot out of 3 places on the grill is which? management is fcking idiotic. what if someone has an allergy? this is not what we paid for. plus we were rushed to put everything on. but the cashier was nice never going here again, they’re shit.

We got food poisoning from eating here. The run lasted 3 days… The ingredients were not fresh. Some tasted funny(sour taste), and the food selections area was not clean. Foods were spilled everywhere and nobody cleaned them. On the banned list for sure.

This place has really gone down hill in the last few years. It’s really hard to find good Mongolian BBQ these days and this place USED to be pretty decent. Now the quality on the food they produce is extremely poor. The food is bland. The cooks hardly ever clean the grill. It’s kinda disgusting. Not my first choice.

I haven’t had any problems so far. I’ve been here around two times already and the cleanliness is okay, food is great, and service is okay. I’ve been to three other Great Khan’s Mongolian BBQ places in SoCal and in comparison to those three, I happen to like this one much more! The optional sesame seeds seasoning is a plus. Will be coming back!

The food was so bad that I would give it negative marks if I could! The mushrooms were not cleaned properly, there was dirt still on them. I told the lady at the counter and tried to teach me how mushrooms are cultivated! The food had no flavor or taste whatsoever. It was horrible and unpalatable food. I could not eat more than 5 bites! Will never go again.

My wife and I were making a plate, we noticed they were out of noodles so the server came right away and put more. I thought it was suppose to be «unlimited» or however much fit on our plate, but as we were putting noodles on our plate the server said we couldn’t serve Anymore. Then after, we where eating our food when we noticed that there was a black hair in our plate.

Great concept, bad execution. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this place: You make your purchase at the register and are given an empty bowL. You are able to customize your stir fry with whatever meats, vegetables, and sauces. PiLe your ingredients on high if you would like, whatever fits in the bowL is fair game! This is not my ideaL Location when I have my Great Khan cravings but I’ve stopped by this Location a few times out of mere convenience. Today’s visit was the absoLute Last straw. The meat seLection and the imitation crab was Lacking and the staff didn’t refiLL the bins when necessary. What was up with that? The sauces avaiLabLe Looked super watery and it definiteLy tasted how it Looked. Fast Forward to after my food is cooked: NoodLes were mushy. There was bareLy any fLavor because aLL the sauces were watered down. In attempts to fix the bLand-ness, I went back to request a smaLL container of teriyaki and my pLan totaLLy backfired. The teriyaki was simpLy sugar water… Gross. I won’t be back. Such a waste of money! My advice: head to the Great Khan’s in the Great MaLL.

I had never given this place a solid thought before, since it was in a food court that also had most of my normal standbys. After a group of friends introduced me to the greatness of Mongolian barbecue some time ago, I remembered that this place existed and kept a mental note to visit it if I was ever in the area for something. I decided to make some time for it one day while I was waiting to pick up some prescriptions. While I was not expecting the same quality from a food court spot as, say, El Camino Mongolian BBQ, the lack of ingredients and sauces on display when compared to El Camino was a bit disappointing. While my own tastes are pretty simple — I pretty much stick with beef, lettuce, onions, noodles, soy sauce, and teriyaki — those who are looking for a better variety of options may want to look elsewhere. Other reviewers have mentioned that the level of service and hospitality leaves something to be desired, and I ultimately must concur with that statement. While I can not make any concrete statement to the effect, the vibe that I got was not overly friendly. It was not busy enough to use stress or irritation from high traffic as a justification, but I definitely feel that those reviewers were likely closer to the point than not. Even with the video monitors explaining how Mongolian barbecue works, I would not recommend this place for someone new to Mongolian barbecue. Bring a knowledgeable friend, or go to some place with clearer instructions and/or a higher level of service instead. Another problem I have with Great Khan’s is admittedly a quibble that only I would have: their website tries to claim that the whole concept of Mongolian barbecue, or at least the«you create it, we grill it» style that most of us know, was coined and innovated by them. Sure, I recognize it for the marketing ploy that it is, but neither the food nor the service is good enough to back it up. About the only positive thing I can say is that the food is good. Not great, but good. In a sense, Great Khan’s is like the McDonald’s of Mongolian barbecue, but it would probably be more accurate to say that it wishes it could be. Say what you want about McDonald’s now, but they did very great things once and had an impact that can not be denied. Great Khan’s … just kinda exists. It fills a niche and makes for a nice alternative to the standard fare for those who want different for its own sake, but there are much better options out there if you are willing to make even a slight amount of effort.

… updated signs– now it’s videos/monitors of the food steaming hot and stirring. The little price sign is way in the back in small letters on a little blackboard sign. … they messed up oiling up the noodles. it was some spicy oil that caused the noodles to be red orange instead of that yellow noodle color. we learned our lesson the hard way after biting into the noodles. we knew the color was off, we didn’t think it had something to do with the spice factor. … I don’t recommend the tofu, it tastes like freezer burn. … $ 12.83 for a bowl of noodles and a Snapple. ** I miss the Oakridge location. better food, offered 2nd bowl for noodles alone.

Great food and you can’t really go wrong because you choose what goes in it. But today there was a very long line and the workers were very irritated at the customers. The cashier looked very sad and tired):

Turned out spicy even though I didn’t put any spice in my bowl. They mix it all over the place where other dishes are so its bound to catch spicy sauce. Feels saturated with sauce cause they keep pouring more of whatever sauce they are using while cooking instead of just water. The noodles are not as good as I remember it to be. Also a little pricey. Not looking forward to trying it again.

This review is gonna be sort of like a parallel comparison to the location at great mall. Btw, only two of them exists in SJ now that the Valley fair and Oak ridge store closed. this place is worse in almost every way. The Asian cashier lady of whom i suspect to be the owner had this shady look on her. The food was NOT as fresh, I can remember seeing the bean sprouts as a brownish color. The variation in different types of food failed as well. Overall the concession stand looked smaller. But who cares, that wasn’t the reason why this place deserve one star. The chopsticks, napkins, and hot sauce would be hidden until we asked for it. And when I asked for more sauce, should would charge a quarter for each additional one. Really, just for extra sauce?

Similar to other Mongolian BBQ places. This one has a quick ordering process. The ingredients are nicely prepared and presented. The cook was nice and worked quickly. The food tasted great. I liked that the cook gave people the chance to grab more noodles and other stuff, even after he poured out the bowl onto the grill.

This is in the East Ridge Mall, and typically I wouldn’t review a place in the mall, but here goes… I came here because my friends wanted to eat here. I used to eat at the Great Khan’s Mongolian BBQ at the Valley Fair Mall, ten years ago, but stopped. I’m pretty sure they all have the same food. The service was fine. The meat was edible and cooked all the way. The bell peppers were good. I really don’t like their noodles, don’t know why they taste like that or if they have always tasted like that. I suggest the noodles to be changed or to have a different taste. I tried to avoid eating them. Two friends didn’t notice, but two other friends did lol. they went to grab salt or pepper to try to change the flavor, but that didn’t help.
