— pancake is good — 3 star — lunch special for galbi — good but doesn’t have meat at all — 2 star — customer service is bad — 1 star

We go here all the time, I usually share a plate of spicy pork and the soft tofu soup between me and my wife. Really hits the spot. Service is fairly quick and the food is very good. Their dolsot bibimbap is also a good menu pick. Orders include complementary ban chan(sides). I would definitely recommend coming here if you’re on the east side.

Dishes weren’t fully clean, waitresses looked smug the whole time and some of them looked like they didn’t know what they were even doing, only one lady was nice to us, limited kimchi, the japchae was alright, some of the chicken was Burrrrrnt, and the short rib was the best plate.

This place is like literally less than 5 minutes from my house. It’s become the regular place to go for me and my boyfriend. Go around their lunch time which is 11:30– 3:00 and you’ll get a great deal on their Kalbi(short ribs). Nice, yummy, and affordable. The owners are really nice and very attentive to their customers. My boyfriend likes that they make sure you always have water in your glass(he drinks lots of water). Their food is always hot, FULLOFFLAVOR, and amaziiiing! This place could use more customers. Really yummy food and great customer service in such an unlikely spot. Oh and they are closed on Tuesdays so any other day of the week is a great time to go. :)

Twelve of us had lunch today. Excellent friendly service. Large servings of very delicious Korean dishes; wonderful hot tofu soups, Kalbi, Seafood Pancake, Rice Cakes and Squid in spicy sauce. Japchae. I wish we had this in San Francisco.

I’m a big fan of Korean food, but I don’t actually get to eat it as often as I’d like. That said, I was REALLY excited to try this place out. I believe it is the only Korean BBQ place on the Eastside of San Jose. It’s not located in the best part of town, and the restaurant itself isn’t very nice/classy inside. So if you are expecting to fine dine, I’d say order take-out! I arrived after the lunch rush, so my food came out in less than 15 minutes. They gal that took my order was very friendly. Spicy Pork /Beef Bulgogi: The Spicy Pork was decent. It had a good kick to it, but it the pork itself was a little dry. The Beef Bulgogi was also a little dry, but it was pretty flavorful. As you can tell by my description, I wasn’t WOW’ed by these dishes, but at the same time I wasn’t completely disappointed. It has been a few months since my visit, and there hasn’t been a compelling reason for me to go back. I’d say this place is a solid 3 stars, with some upside to bump up pending another visit/taste test! Side note: There are WAY better Korean BBQ places in Santa Clara, if you are willing to make the drive out. If for some reason this food did NOT hit the spot, hang a quick right out of the parking lot and head to Super Taqueria! :) Conclusion: I’d be willing to try out some of their other dishes in the future, but I have to admit… I am in no hurry.

Good food, rude service! My family and I come here regularly because we love the food, until today. My mom ordered for pick up ahead of time, as she was waiting for the food she needed to go to the bathroom so bad. The young waitress, I believe is the daughter decides to put her hands on her and pushed her stopping her from going to the bathroom, yelling at her to pay first before using the bathroom. Then blocks the bathroom. The cook decides to come out and shoves the menu on her telling her that customers do this a lot, hey hide in the bathroom and don’t pay. My mom told her«what makes you think I would do that» I always come here with my family. They kept yelling at her and my mom was already shaking from needing to use the bathroom so bad. So she threw the menu back on the table and decided to leave. My mom called me so upset because she has never experienced this before. Im so upset that this happened the way it did and how it was handled because we come here a lot. Word of advice, In order to run a good business you need customer satisfaction right? So if you’re having a bad day either suck it up, put on a good face and be professional OR call out sick. Simple as that.

I don’t support businesses with really rude workers! The food was good but horrible service. No thank you and not worth it.

Korean food in ESSJ? Hmm… FOOD: Seafood Pancake — Came out thick. Never seen seafood pancake that thick before but it was crispy, fluffy, and filled with tons of seafood. Spicy Rice Cakes & Squid — Basically dukbokki w/squid. Had a good kick to it. Spicy Pork — Yum! Great flavor and they used pork belly. Definitely ordering this again. Honestly, I had doubts coming into this place. It’s in a weird location and I just didn’t think this hole in the wall would be any good. But, I was wrong! Good prices, large portions, decent food. That spicy pork was incredibly tasty. I’m looking forward to coming back to try other dishes. SERVICE: No complaints! I was super thirsty that day and they made sure to keep my water refilled. Refillable banchan, too. Checked up on us once in awhile. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service. DECOR/AMBIANCE: It’s on the small side so I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups. Very sparsely decorated. The inside seemed old even though the building itself looked very new. LIKES: Tons of parking. Big portions. DISLIKES: Located in a creepy plaza. The area is dark and quiet. It’s worth trying! :)

The food is delicious!!! I did a take out order of pan fried fish and Korean bbq. The fish was fresh and crispy, very moist! The bbq savory and flavorful!!! I also ordered pot stickers which were also very fresh tasting and delicious. As soon as I had arrived my food was put out to be picked up! Perfect timing! Needless to say I will be back!

Hidden treasure. Love this place, never leave disappointed. Spicy pork, spicy, chicken, and short ribs are good. Staff is polite and asks if you need anything here and there. If you buy the dinner portion of meats, you get unlimited rice. Yum!

I went here with a close friend because we were craving some Korean food. The place itself is very small but the layout is spaced out so it is not that cramped. The food is not that fresh tasting but it does hit the spot if you are craving Korean meat. I got the bulgogi and the spicy chicken! I liked the spicy chicken but it was kinda dry inside. The bulgogi was very juicy and tender. The service was also very fast!

I have to say, this place is really, really yummy. We were dress shopping in the bay and got hungry. My sis found this place on Unilocal(with their awesome reviews) and so we had to try it out. Their menu isn’t as extensive as other Korean restaurants, but I’m ok with that… as long as the food was yummy and affordable, which they are. We ordered the short ribs, fried fish(mackerel), beef bibimbap, and seafood tofu soup. Everything was on point!

UPDATE: The staff WILL and DID threaten to attack a 14 year old girl, and her father. kimchi was extra, so we decided to leave. So, a young, angry, muscular young man came out an said«if you don’t want to eat our f@ck1ing food, then get the f@ck out of here before I kick your f@ck1ng ass, and forced me and my 14 year old daughter into poor car. I came here with great excitement, to have that so quickly erased by the fact they have NOTEA. «Our hot tea machine is broken, along with our soda machine» WOW’ How are they open without the ability to boil water? This is a Korean restaurant, people! I hope the food will save this experience, and I subsequently wrote a good review

Looking for Rude Service? Well, look no further! This is the place to be! Just make sure to ask for the female server! Look, I’ve been here 3 times over the course of 3 yrs. 1st time should have been my warning, but no… I just brushed it off thinking she might be having a bad day. 2nd time, I brought a second set of friends and proved what I should have already known! After 2 years, I come back and brought another friend, thinking there could be some improvement, I mean come on its been a couple of years. Lo and behold 3 years later she is still having a bad day. Not looking for incredible service, this is not fine dining… just looking for a little respect, we are after all, your customer! Each time I visited, I tipped well and left saying nothing. Today, I felt like I just needed to say something… gave her a second chance, gave her a third chance. It’s a damn shame because the food is good! I came here with new potential customers all 3 times… all ending with them questioning me about the RUDE server. Quite embarrassing. I don’t know why she would want to work in customer service when she comes across as someone who hates her life and every other living thing on this planet. Never giving these guys my business again, this time I mean it!

Definitely a hole-in-the-wall typa place! Very small restaurant. The plaza was super dead when I came around dinner time. That’s okay tho! My boyfriend and I ordered spicy chicken with vegetables and the short ribs. The short ribs were great and full of favor! The spicy chicken was good as well. I have this place 3 stars due to the waiters constantly checking in on is and refilling our sides! The side dishes wasn’t great. I’ve been to better Korean joints, but this is great if you’re hungry, in a hurry, or on the go. It’s a plus since it’s the only joint right next to my boyfriends house. I would come again for convenience and service!

«HANGOVERHANGOVERHANGOVERHANGOVER Party’s over, it ain’t over. Tryna’ make a GOOD memory over and over!» Word from Psy and Snoop Dogg! After eating at Korean Fusion BBQ, you’re gonna get a HANGOVER from delicious Korean foods! ;) The only things that are missing? OG S-diggy double gee and Psy. But for reals, if you want homely, comfort Korean cuisine at an affordable price, Korean Fusion has got yo back! The portions are hearty for the great prices($ 8 — $ 17), even though there has been a slight increase from last year’s prices. As others have mentioned, it’s a definite hole in the wall. The interior and furniture are very simple. There’s no trendy chic tables or chairs or tasteful decorations. Few Korean celebrity posters are posted around but it’s not impressive. Their utensils and plates also reflect their basic standards– blue banchan dishes, regular stone hot pot, and entrees are served on white plastic plates. |||| FOOD |||| My God, it is delicious, scrumptious, and savory! Grade A + Seafood Soft Tofu Soup($ 10.95) — BIGGEST sized sundubu-jjigae(soft tofu soup) in the Bay Area! Quality-wise it’s above average and they don’t skimp out on the portions either. It can feed 3 — 4 people. It’s literally twice the amount of soup that other Korean restaurants serve. You have to eat with a ladle! There was squid, imitation crab, onions, etc. for your enjoyment. Hearty portion, biggest bang for your buck! + Seafood Pancake($ 10.95) — Another big dish! There were about 12 pieces the size of my hand. Each piece was engorged with flour cake and seafood(imitation crab, squid). The heavy breading made it extra crunchy! The dipping sauce was slightly salty. Definitely one of the better pancakes I’ve had(not flimsy and flavorless, yay!) + BBQ Galbi($ 10.95 lunch portion) — About 8 to 9 hot pieces of galbi were served. The portion of the meat was smaller since it came with a cup of white rice. The meat was slightly under-cooked though(tint of pink) but it was very flavorful marinated. + Banchan(free) — We got kimchi, bean sprouts, fish cakes, potatoes, daikon, and cucumbers. Their banchan was the most disappointing thing as we’ve had better quantity and quality. We asked for refills about 3 times because the portions were small. + Tea(free) — My mother commented that she liked their sweet tea! Worth getting since it’s free anyway. Overall our whole lunch meal for 3 people totaled to $ 35(tax included), affordable amirite?! We were completely stuffed by the end of the meal. Service was quick and attentive, probably due to the fact that we were the only patrons at 3PM. Hit or miss service here. Korean Fusion BBQ is by far the best option in East Side!
