The Whole Roasted Pig looked Amazing and Delicious. I called Lumpia &BBQ on Wednesday and asked if they can provide me a Whole Roasted Pig for my party Saturday. Evelyn took my order and delivered to my house 30 minutes early.

Came here to have Filipino breakfast. It’s a small hole in the wall. Waiting like 20 minutes to get our food after she says it’ll take 10. While eating my food I find hair in it and told the lady. She gave me nothing but excuses saying that she’s the one that cooked it and that she washes the meat. She also told me that it is not hair but instead string from the eggs??? WTF? BS! I’m not coming here again!

This is a traditional brick and mortar mom and pop stop that serves up family style F-food and they do a mighty satisfying job at that. usually i get the pork skewers and some lumpia and those usually do the trick right. *The pork skewer is good and chewy with a nice sweet garlic soy glaze. *Lumpia has nice crunch served with a sweet and sour sauce or the chili dipping sauce from the bottle(im not to fond of that, I think sometimes they add vinegar to it which makes a tad better) if they have the house made sweet and sour sauce(the one I prefer) its usually pretty decent w/the lumpia. *The pancit is average to above average tasting. And the chicaron they have on the counter is crunchy salty heart cloggin guilty goods. I’m not sure if it’s house made or not but it is one of the better ones I have tried. Don’t go here expecting high end top gourmet f-food as you are in the wrong place. This is a hole in the wall with corny décor and oily tables. Go here for home-style cheap eats that will satisfy your hunger. I haven’t tried the sisig here but from other Unilocal reviews, its something to be avoided. hmmm i will have to see if that is true or not. hopefully my stomach holds up! lol

This place is in the heart of the east side where the Viet and mexican meet. I come here for the lumpia which is soo tasty and at a extremely reasonable price. I love the sauce for the lumpia its sweet and spicy at the same time. Overall I give it a 4 on the food alone and yes it is a hole in the wall but what isn’t on the east side?

The boyfriend and I have stopped coming here. Basically we ordered some sisig(we used to think this was hella good til this happened) and noticed that after the lady had warmed up the sisig since we were eating in it smelt a little off. When I say a little off I mean it smelt like it was spoiled already. After the boyfriend tried to eat 2 bites from it he didnt finish the rest. Later that night he had gotten food poising or something. The only thing he ate that day was the sisig and rice. That definitely changed our mind about eating here. I mean how fresh do you think their food is or how long do they leave that out? Idk. I’d rather wait for my dish to come out from the back sizzlin’ hot off the grill if you ask me.

Really close to my house, so I decided to stop by on my way to work! It’s a really small turo turo restaurant with TFC playing for their older Filipino customers! I ordered the only thing that looked appetizing on the counter which was their pinakbet(a Filipino vegetable dish) with rice! Theres many ways to cook this dish so I was surprised that their version of pinakbet was good! I also ordered two turons(banana lumpia) as a side order! I like the crunchiness of it and the fact that their turons are not dinky compared to other restaurants and Asian places that serves turons or their version of it! Everything came out to just a little over $ 8, which is pretty cheap! I’d have to come back and try their silogs next time!

So I had what the name instructs, BBQ. I had there BBQ pork skewers. Too sweet for me. Reminded me of Panda express sauces. I have not tried anything else because it was too expensive for the quality of food. $ 2.50 for one skewer and I think $ 1 and change for plain rice. Maybe its better for catering? But imagine buying 50 pcs for a pary of 20? I rather walk across the street and get some King Eggrolls. Filipeano food is only a good bet in DC/SF.

Their food is good. It doesn’t really give you that fast-food kind of taste. it tastes like homemade Filipino food. I always come here for their sisig and creamy cassava cake.

The service was good and the food was pretty good for being fast food. It’s nothing fancy but this is the place you want to go to if you’re craving Filipino food and don’t have the time for a sit down restaurant. They also have a lot of choices on their catering menu. It’s going to be my go-to when I’m craving Filipino food and don’t want to drive all the to parents’.

It’s almost like home cooked food for me. I really enjoy their sisig and always buy it when there’s a fight and bring it to the friend’s house and they also love it. Price for lunch is very very reasonable because they have specials and free water! Don’t mind coming here again anytime.

I was craving lumpia really bad today for lunch, but not just any kind of lumpia — I wanted super authentic chillaxin in Daly City at your Filipino friend’s house whose Mom or Auntie just made lumpia, lumpia. Lumpia &BBQ was not it. I really wanted to fall in love with this place but the pork lumpia while decent was a too crunchy(not crispy, but hard crunchy) the vegetable lumpia was way too oily and the chicken adobo seemed a little too tough. The sweet/sour sauce was pretty awesome though :) I will disclose, I am not Filipino, so I really don’t have a leg to stand on, but I don’t think that warrants denial of BBQ chicken skewers for that matter. When I politely asked for a BBQ chicken skewer the lady at the register flat out told me «No.» I asked for clarification like«Oh…you don’t have it right now?»(as I noticed the Filipino guy at the table behind me enjoying his chicken skewer) to which she replied«No, we don’t have it,» so then I went to pay with my debit card to which she abruptly said«$ 10 minimum.» Hence the order of toughy chicken adobo… She was actually kind of mean :( Maybe she was just having a bad day. But on the bright side, the price was good and I haven’t tried the pancit yet and was denied the BBQ chicken skewer, so maybe I will come back with some of my Filipino buddies and eat here again… or maybe I will just order take out.

This place’s specialty is definitely their lumpia(shanghai). We order it for EVERYTHING – birthdays, Pacquiao fights, baby showers, bridal showers, the Super Bowl, funeral wakes, potlucks at work or home, ANYTHING – and ALWAYS get«ooohs» and definitely big«aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhs» on the lumpia’s flavor and perfect amount of crispness. We usually order 300 and it’s STILL not enough! It’s definitely a crowd-pleaser, and is especially non-Filipino friendly(aka: easier to eat than other Filipino delicacies such as dinuguan). TRUESTORY: my cousin bribes her boss w/the lumpia from here! In addition to their awesome lumpia, their lechon is SOOOOOOFREAKIN’ GOOD(so what if it’s hella bad for your cholesterol levels?)!!! The meat is tender, but the BEST part is the superbly crispy, yet not-super-oily skin(Filipino fave)! Ang sarap!

I was not impressed. I read the mixed reviews on here and thought eh I will give it a try. Wow was I disappointed. First off we ordered Lumpia it was less than desirable never had anything quite so gross. I bit into it and was where is the meat? It tasted like doughy Lumpia skins. Strike one. Second ordered the rice plate with chicken adobo it was um dry and greasy, would not recommend this one. Third the lady said the total for our order was $ 17.50 so how do you get $ 1.50 change out of $ 20.00 for something that is $ 17.50? The other item ordered was the pork skewers ok I will give them credit for that one they were good but greasy as well and these were fresh cooked when we got there. I was expecting to pay around 13 or 14 bucks not almost 20. Yes the place is a dive don’t care been to other places and have had much better food. Will I return? Highly unlikely and will not recommend to my friends either.

Okay, retarded folk who rates this place on the food that they have sitting out, listen up! There’s a reason this place is called«LUMPIA&BBQ”– and it’s pretty fucking obvious why. It’s their specialty! I have to be honest, and say, that I agree with most of the people that the food sitting out isn’t exactly my cup of tea at first glance, but this place does justice to their BBQ& Lumpia! The sauce in the BBQ is reallllly good– tangy, sweet, and spicy all at once. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and the reason this place gets the 5 stars? The woman that owns the restaurant, is by far, one of the sweetest, and welcoming people I have met in the area. She has great customer service, and really makes you feel like all her attention is on you, and not on TFC like most Filipino ma & pa shops nowadays. Don’t come here if you have a hoity toity attitude, because you’re right, you won’t fit in. Come looking for a relaxed, family like atmosphere. P. S. One of the reviews called this place a dump. I beg to differ… This isn’t yo mama’s house! The place doesn’t advertise itself to be the Hilton. They’re honest people, doing what they love!

Most def a mom and pops restaurant! Location wise you cant see this place on the street. Its tucked away in a corner of a chopping center and surrounded by Viet and Chinese stores. Parking is a hassle because the center itself is super tiny. The menu is quite small. They have a pick and choose section of hot items that are already cooked which can vary day to day. I came here for there well known BBQ sticks! Pork, chicken, beef they had them all! For 5 bucks you get 2 sticks and rice. The pork is marinated and drenched with sauce and grilled! AMAZING! We also order pork dinaguguan and pancit. All in all the food was average. I would however come back for the BBQSTICKS!

I was starving! my cousin took her step mom to the tofu place next door and I went here. The best filipino food I’ve had so far was from jolliees and my friend’s mom. There were no more palabok so I had the pancit something with a «g» and lumpia(6). everything was $ 13ish. the lumpia were really good, but the pancit was what disappointed me. there’s bits and pieces of fried pork rinds which i did not like. It was good, but after seeing all the grease at the bottom made me feel sick and gained 200lbs. never again. I should’ve had vegetarian next door.

I am an American Filipino that can’t speak Tagalog. Very seldom you can find a place that won’t look down for being American and only speaking English. I don’t eat a lot of traditional Filipino food anymore, and I go here to get my fix. It is home style and I love it. Very affordable and the employees make it very inviting. But the parking sucks, but it’s worth it.

Definite hole in the wall and you only know this spot if your in the hood! I love their chicken and pork skewers. That’s all i’ve had from them so I’m not too sure what else is good. They also have an interesting filpino imported snacks as well.

Greasy, home-cookin’. I still love the BBQ skewers! Halo-halo is also a sure bet! Various jellies and sweet beans and coconut strips, topped with shaved ice smothered in condensed milk, topped with vanilla ice cream and a strawberry syrup/purée make this treat to die for on a hot day! Other than that, it’s definitely a hole in the wall. The selection of food varies from day to day… and I must comment on the fact that sometimes it does not always look like the freshest batch and for that I will deduct a star. I haven’t gotten sick from anything here but I do pick and choose wisely, and usually just stick to the BBQ skewers.

I never noticed this place until someone mentioned it. Plus, my school(SFCC) is a little further down the street. Anyway, I had the pancit here and I thought it was pretty good. They had kare-kare, which is my all time fav. filipino dish ever and no one in my family cooks it a lot only for family parties. So this is the place to go just for a fix but I haven’t gone. Today, I had the BBQ pork(because they didn’t have kare-kare), which was alright but the sauce for it was really good. The sauce was sweet and had a little spice to it that I wasn’t expecting but it gave it a nice kick. I got the BBQ with a scoop of rice with it and a free bowl of sinigang sabaw with some veggies, which came out to $ 2.71.
