Great selection of teas and very helping staff. I bumped into this store yesterday and got Lupicia original handy cooler and paradise green tea. The staff was very helpful in terms of providing information about various teas and iron, glass and clay teapots.

I cannot stress how much I love their teas! Black, green, sencha, genmaicha, jasmine, oolong, matcha… they have it all, and in such exciting and tasty blends! Some of my favorites are the paradise green, the jasmine mandarin, the matsuri sencha, and the momofuku oolong. I love going here each time I’m home and picking up a few different teas to try out! Customer service is also excellent: The ladies who work here are always friendly and willing to offer suggestions if you’re having trouble picking amongst their wonderfully large selection of teas! They usually brew a few teas in store for you to sample, although this is discontinued during the holidays, and they offer sample teabags to take home with each purchase! Also, make sure you sign up for their mailing list to receive a newsletter and a tea sample every month — for free!

Yuzu tea is my favorite. Nothing can compete with it. Sadly it is not supplied year round. I am waiting for this year’s Yuzu tea now.

Tea here is amazing and well worth the price. There are so many flavors and the leaves are definitely of high quality. The small shop is located inside Mitsuwa — when you enter the grocery store, go past Santouka ramen to your left and you should see a friendly and brightly lit Lupicia. My first and only visit here was actually when it was only a few minutes from closing, but the man working behind the counter was extremely patient and did not rush me at all as I took my time to smell the different teas and ask him questions. In fact, I didn’t even realize the store was closing until another couple tried to walk in and the cashier politely told them that he was about to close down. Can’t wait to come back when I run out of my teas! Melon oolong is delightful.

Amazing customer service. Great products. The woman who helped me explained how matcha is grown, tips for making it and was so friendly and helpful. Plus if you spend $ 30 they will send a free tea sample for 6 months! And they gave me free samples with my purchase.

I am not a huge tea person but the dude is so when we walked by this quaint little tea shop, of course we had to stop and check it out. It’s a small little place but we were there for a little half an hour(partly due to him being indecisive) but also because there are so many different types of teas and cups/pots/brewers/spoons/gift sets and random things. Even better(or maybe worse), the worker there helped us and shared with us a tea sample of the day as well as gift set information. She was probably one of the most friendly, helpful people ever. Even though I don’t like tea that much, I had lots of fun smelling all the different types of tea and checking out the stuff. Most of all, the service was seriously top notch.

**800th Review** This small shop is located inside Mitsuwa in the back, on the same side of the food court. Really helpful employees, they always offer a sample of their Tea of the Month. I love their decorative tins and usually go here for gifts. Their teas all smell really good and not as watered down as the teas from Davids Tea. If I want something different from my traditional Chinese teas, I usually grab a tea from here. My favorites are the cherry blossoms, white peach and the honeydew teas. Note: If you purchase $ 30+, you get signed up for their free 6 month magazine subscription that comes with a tea sample.

Friendly service and the best tea anywhere! Tons of interesting flavors(we’re currently working on the 30-flavor tea bag sampler) & top notch uncompromising quality. Beautiful pyramid shaped tea bags too. Lupicia is a great alternative to high calorie sweetened milk tea drinks.

I’m not a huge tea drinker, but this stuff is AMAZING! It is totally worth the price! They also have lovely gift sets for the holidays too. No exchanges or returns though. Staff are very friendly and helpful too, which was great since I was clueless what to get as gifts. Only qualm is if you buy one thing, you get one tea sample. If you buy 5 things, you get one tea sample.

I like to come here on my rare occasion to Mitsuwa and or upcoming birthday presents. The employees here are absolutely adorable and helpful! They offered me tea and they immediately take my cup when I was done. There are tons of selection of tea which gave me a hard time to choose. So far my absolute favorite teas are: — Champaign Rose(no longer in us) — Muscat Please Lupica bring back Champaign Rose back to the US!

They are so damn nice here and their tea selection is incredible. I love stopping by when I’m down here and picking up a couple new flavors and brewing them throughout the week. If you’re an(unsweetened) tea fan like myself, I highly recommend you stop by.

Love their varieties/selection. Staffs are friendly. It’s the only place that I get my loose teas. Ice teas are very refreshing. Napa Blanc is my favorite

Ripe mango oolong is a regular on my tea rotation. I’ve probably repurchased the bag of loose leaf ten times or more… I really appreciate the sample tea bags they give you with purchase :) And of course, they’re willing to brew samples for you and help you decide what you like if you’re not sure. A great place to piqué your tea interests! I came to this location when the Valley Fair one was closed — but now they’ve re-opened near the food court so I’ll probably be picking up my tea when I’m at the mall running errands. Prices are the same at both locations.

Located inside to the left side of Mitsuwa Market, it is super clean and organized. The lady that works here is super friendly. I love how you can smell each tea before making the purchase. The back of the bags even have the origin of where the tea is from. Prices are pretty steep. I got the small matcha scoop and whisk and it was well over 20 bucks. Matcha Green Tea powder is great. Really how quality. Lychee was a bit strong in my opinion. Tea overpowered the lychee scent. Melon Oolong is really good, but not as the matcha :) When you purchase over 40 bucks, you can sign up on their mailing list and they will send you samples. I got a free sample with my $ 50 purchase. But with that much spent, I should’ve gotten more than just one teabag for free.

Ive been happy with every Lupicia Ive been to. SF, Hawaii, San Jose… They always have really high quality tea(yes you’re going to pay for it though) and some interesting combinations you’d never think of. I was looking for matcha and houji cha but had to settle for some other suggestions as they were sold out. Got a matcha/soybean powder tea and a Houji blend with Genmai. They threw in a melon tea sampler to go also. Super nice polite employees(as you’d expect) in a concise well packaged store.

Watch out for special promotion«Buy $ 50 or more to receive the tea jar». My wife spent $ 200 worth of tea from this store and they only gave her one. She asked for more and they gave her 2. She spent $ 200 that day as this promotion supposed to be end that same day. Few days later, she visited this shop and the special promotion is still going. What’s more upsetting is the«No Return or Refund» stated on the receipt. So, once you buy the tea, you can not return as there was no such sign posted in the store.

I love lupicia teas. they’re very fragrant and bold in taste. I was excited to see that they have a location inside mitsuwa. they were sampling a black tea with sakura when I went and gave a sample of cookie tea when I made a purchase. The only downside is that their teas are a bit expensive, and it bums me out sometimes when I don’t shop local. Their teas are from Japan.

I am a fan of loose leaf tea. And it gets worse, I only drink decaf teas. Lupicia has a nice selection of decaf teas for weirdos like me. The staff are like little sweet peas walking around. Super nice and attentive. Hard to find service like that anywhere in the Bay. Super excited to try my new tea. For sure I’ll be back here for more flavors.

Lupicia Fresh Tea sells a wide variety of tea– loose leaf and bagged. They also sell teapots and tea cups. I bought Strawberry Vanilla tea with a tea pot and cup for my mom. I took home a sample of the Cassis Blueberry which tastes AMAZING. This is a great place to purchase gifts for family and friends or just for your own home. In 2013 I’ve decided to drink more tea and less coffee/soda. Lupicia Fresh Tea has a wonderful variety of tea and good customer service at this location. — — — — — — — – would i go back? — — — — — — — – YES!!!

How convenient, not as large as the one in Valleyfair, but perfect after a bit of grocery shopping. The décor actually reminds me of the similar set-up in the Kyoto-based store. Due to its size, they don’t have as much variety as the one in Valleyfair, but they still have the favorites like Momo Oolong Peach and of course the Holiday specials. Gotta hand it to the company on packaging, I love their tins.
