Fresh fruit shakes for $ 4 each. I’d maybe go for that but nothing else here. got a honey flavored milk tea with fresh lychee instead of boba for $ 4. It didn’t quite look as expected, so I asked the worker: «Is there actually honey in here?» «Yes — there’s honey» «Is there actually lychee in here?» «Yes — there’s lychee at the bottom,» as she pointed at the tiny sliver at the bottom lol. Why don’t you hand me a magnifying glass while you’re at it? I really couldn’t taste the honey, couldn’t find much lychee at the bottom, and ¾ of the cup was ice so it was done in a few gulps. As for my avocado shake, I asked for absolutely NO sugar and repeated that a couple times. It tasted like she put extra sugar, but used maybe cane juice instead of sugar since it had that aftertaste. Maybe she misunderstood me. However, they definitely used fresh avocados, just the extra cane juice didn’t mix well with that flavor. Normally I would ask them to remake it, but it already took longer than expected to get both drinks(which is okay because freshly made drinks SHOULD take longer) but I was late for an appointment. So I said screw it — instead of complaining I’ll just NEVERCOMEBACK! I’m sure other flavors are delish and we just didn’t order the right drinks. Or maybe it was an off day. They had piles of fresh avocados, oranges, apples, coconuts and more in plain sight. Nothing is worse than fruit shakes made of syrup and concentrate that make you poop food coloring for days, right? So extra star for that! Fresh fruit flavors: Avocado Mango Durian Jackfruit Soursop Strawberry Watermelon Papaya Pineapple Coconut peach Kiwi Passion fruit Orange Lots of milkshakes too like cookie flavored, cappuccino, to lychee and mango. Next time I’m in this area I’m checking out Nuoc Mia just a few stands to the right(also inside Grand Century mall) since they’re known for having the freshest ingredients and have better reviews.

Anytime I’m on Story, I always have to make a pit stop at Mak’s. Great post-dinner dessert option. I only get one thing, I think my boyfriend gets annoyed that I won’t have anything else. Their avocado shake is out of this world/the best avocado shake I’ve ever had. Soooooo RICH in flavor, fat and decadence! I love it. I’ve watched them make it numerous times and never once have I seen them add powder or any type of concentrated juice to it, all natural and fresh. Prices are a bit steeper than most places, in my opinion, but the quality is always consistent and worth the extra bucks. The drinks don’t come out as fast as you’d expect, but I’m hoping that’s because they’re being extra clean and careful when they’re making these? Beats me why it takes long. My boyfriend has tried an assortment of drinks from here and he’s never complained about any of them, so maybe I should try something else. I have had their sugar cane drinks, super fresh and tasty, but not as good at my favorite place in Sac. Overall, fresh ingredients, friendly service and reasonable prices.

You can tell that the ingredients they use are really fresh, they were really nice about mixing more than a few different flavors. The papaya smoothie is seriously great, I would recommend that but honestly you can’t go wrong here.

I love the papaya smoothie! You can’t get it like this anywhere else! They use actual frozen papaya. There’s no milk in the drink. I write in short sentences.

Mak’s looked promising, however, the mango«smoothie» that I ordered was actually a slush and the Thai Tea my sister ordered, tasted more like powder unlike the creamier Thai Teas that we’re used to at different establishments. Honestly, even the mango slush tasted sour almost like a lemon infused mango drink, which I didn’t care for. Don’t get me wrong, the employees at Mak’s work extremely hard to produce fresh juice, however, a 10 – 15 minute wait for juice is simply a wait that is too long! I wish I had tried their fresh squeezed orange juice with honey as recommended by other Unilocalers. Also, prices are pretty expensive for the size that you’re getting. Maybe next time!

I would usually go here every week just to get a mango smoothie! The taste always came out good. It’s never powered based, always tastes like real fruit. It is a little pricey since it is $ 4 for a drink, but to me, that’s worth it! I tried many other smoothie places, but I always end up going back here. Go there so often that they even remember my family and what we want to order!

Normally when I get«fresh juice» from Asian places, I expect some from concentrate weird juice milk smoothie mess and it’s not great. But not here. First my husband got pineapple and that was just delicious beyond expectations. Then I got watermelon for myself and it was just like you took a watermelon to a blender. Fresh and simple. After wandering around the mall some more we bought a kiwi juice to go. I couldn’t recommend this enough. It’s $ 4 but worth it.

My go-to spot for sugar cane drinks! They also serve other flavors of juice and smoothies here, but I always come here for their sugar cane. It’s also squeezed in the middle of other food stalls that serves Vietnamese food! The«small» size is pretty big, but don’t be fooled by the size of the cup. They fill it up with A LOT of ice… Other than that, their sugar cane is refreshing!

Fresh watermelon juice with pearls for $ 4. Enough said. I’m coming back although I don’t come to this mall often. My 3 year old finished off 75% of the drink, so I was really sad. I guess we’ll have to buy 2 watermelon juice next time.

This place is in the Grand century Mall food court area. I wanted to get a suagr cane drink from a diff place but I saw that this place has Sua Da with pearls… really. I mean who wouldn’t want Vietnamese coffee with pearls. I did and it was good. It beats getting premix stuff at tapioca express and plus it was only $ 4 and at a regualr vietnamese coffee shop the coffee is $ 5, and here you get it with pearls. I will def come back here.

This place make their smoothie using real fruits and vegetable. They also make delicious sugarcane drinks. I even tried their«vita juice» which was a mixer of fresh fruits and vegetables. Taste delicious and made my stomach feel good after drinking it. Although their drinks is on the pricey side, at least it is worth paying for fresh drinks.

BESTAVOCADOSHAKEHANDSDOWN! If you are ever in San Jose and specifically on Story Road at Century Plaza — go inside the mall and head towards the back where they have all the food vendors! And after all said and done(eating a full meal) go see Mak’s Juice and man — I tell ya — this place has killer AVOCADOSHAKES and tell them to add GREENBEANS to it because it is out of this world. Don’t take my word for it — just order it and find out for yourself! Also — they are known for their SUGARCANE drink! Last time we were there — we ordered a gallon! It is pure squeezed sugar cane that’s going to knock your socks off! Best of all — the staff here are super nice! They know exactly what you want and they make it SUPERFAST!

Defin the best fresh squeeze oj I have had in a while. Most places add water or tons of sugar making it taste nothing like fresh squeeze oj. I used to hit up Bach Dang at Lion Plaza and defin like this place more. The price is a little higher but u do get a big cup.

I usually order my pearl drinks from this spot whenever i’m in the lion plaza. usually i get the fruity ones since they use REAL fruit for them. BUT, just yesterday i copped myself a pearl milk tea, and it took him 2 minutes to make it. really? first that it was $ 4 for a milk tea when i’ve been to my SPOT back in SF only charges 2.75. next, theres a crap load of ice in there with more pearls than milk tea. lastly, the milk tea wasn’t even good, way too sweet. the thai tea they served at the thai place next door tastes even better. what a waste

My mom ordered a boba drink with taro smoothie and I didn’t care for any. I figured that I wouldn’t miss out on much since it’s «food court» food anyways… she kept on telling me to try it and take a sip… and so i did. and then i took another.. . and another.. . I soon found myself drinking half of the whole thing. The smoothie was sweet and perfect! Didn’t taste powdery at all and also stayed at that icy smoothie consistency for a long time. The boba was super soft and chewy! I regret not getting my own drink– good thing mama let me have it =) Definitely comin back here. The drink was actually pricey at about $ 4. However, I think it was worth it. Very surprised but also very satisfied.

Nuoc Mia next door was closed for some reason so I got a large sugar cane juice from here. $ 5 I knew something was odd when after maybe about 6 – 7 sips it seemed like there was not much juice left. I removed the container and looked inside. ridiculous, this huge cup was 80% filled with ice. what a rip off for $ 5. I went back and complained to the guy who made the order and he didn’t say anything and ignored me. avoid this place like the plague!

Have you ever had a Soursop smoothie? If the answer is no, you should come get one from this place. I bought one today for $ 4 which is a little expensive, but it’s definitely worth it since they use real fruit! The flavor is quite interesting… it’s sour at first and then gets a little sweet. They have a variety of drinks here so I’m sure you’ll find something that you will like. Come by and try a drink from here when you’re at Grand Century Mall.
