food is good; actually excellent. Sometimes the waiters are distant and sometimes rude. Even the toilets are clean unlike Hodidako.

Stopped by last week, it was closed. Can someone confirm this restaurant is no longer open for business?

I went to the place for a Saturday lunch. There were only 2 other tables occupied. If you are Chinese, this is not the place to go comparing with many other buffets in the bay area. The selections are not many and the taste is mediocre.

Sushi is good… some of the employees already know us and they greet us with big smiles, which makes me feel good. Just wish the food trays would be kept full and not make us have to ask

I like this place. Price is a little on the high side. But, they have a good selection and their sushi is fresh and big. A lot of these places make little rolls. I don’t understand why, you just eat twice as much. Not this place! They make good sized rolls. it gets crowded and lunch and dinner time.

After a day at the beach I couldn’t wait I couldn’t wait to get my hand on some crabs that wouldn’t bite back! Maybe we came on a bad night — still a Saturday — but the small selection of food that was out was rather old and never refilled. The items in the grill station and pastries were especially dried out. There was no lobster(some of the other reviews mentioned it), clams in black bean sauce, buttered mussels, korean ribs, and other typical buffet fare that you usually see. The sushi wasn’t bad and neither were the soups. I ended up eating mostly the beef that I picked out from the broccoli and beef and seasoned fries — which says a lot about the quality of the rest of the food. Pricier yet has a smaller selection of food than other comparable buffets — probably won’t be coming back here again.

I arrived at 12:50pm Monday, there was no lunch rush. I was seated right away and my beverage order arrived fast. The price for lunch Buffett is $ 11.49($ 14.45 after tax). The buffet offers both Japanese(sushi and rolls) as well as Chinese dishes. In my opinion the food quality is a bargain to the price. However, it is still no Buffett to Vegas standards. When you become familiar with the spread you can hand select good quality food here such as the tempura shrimp.

I felt like vomiting when I ate some of their sushi rolls and the sashimi left much to be desired, however if you are super hungry and don’t mind bad sushi go here. The fish is bland and the wasabi was just green horseradish. Their fruits and desserts were nasty.

This place offers all you can eat Chinese and Japanese fare. Some examples are sushi rolls, sashimi, General Tso’s chicken, scallion pancakes, lobster, crab, crawdads, potstickers, sieu mai, and more. Family asked to go here, and we came with low expectations. The sushi was tasting too fishy(in a way it shouldn’t), most of the offerings where cold, and there was a huge bug found in our vegetables. Won’t be returning.

For the price the sushi and Chinese lunch buffet is a great deal. The sushi is good for the price. I was sent as the test subject by my co-workers and everything was very healthy and tasty. Definitely will return for lunch again, want to try dinner as I heard they have an even better sushi selection including nigiri.

A reasonable buffet with retrospect to it’s price. Would have given a much lower review however one of the servers, Lus I believe, helped me out providing great customer service. Before I even started to get my food I went to go to the bathroom and found there wasn’t even any soup for customers to use. I work in food service as well and I can tell you that is a serious health violation for both customers and employees. I went to go tell one of the customers if I could get more soup for the restroom and he just shook his head and walked away and said no. Which was incredibly gross if your telling me a buffet doesn’t even have soap and continues to keep running. I was ready to just leave at that point, but I decided to maybe he just didn’t speak English. I spoke to another server, Lus, and she went in to check and shortly after put some soap in. To be frank I work with a co-worker who doesn’t speak the greatest english either, but whenever she doesn’t understand she asks me or another co-worker to help her too. It is completely UNACCEPTABLE that the first guy I asked just ignored me and walked away. They need to set up a system to help him communicate with the customers.

Old ripped seating, mold cealing, COLDFOOD, dirty bathrooms, rude service, nasty water. Esc, esc. For $ 16.99 we as customers deserve better. We work hard for our money. And expect a good dinner. So if you plan on ever coming here, i recommend you don’t. Up too you!

Tried a few kinds of sushi and it was good and fresh. Not much sashimi, but you can try many different kinds of sushi. I tried the sautéed cabbage and it was ok. The crab legs and baked chicken wings were ok. Fresh fruits were fresh; kudos to this place. Six different kinds of ice cream; the chocolate and vanilla were ok. You can’t try everything at this place in one visit; that’s good. Décor: it is a large clean restaurant. Customer service: The service is slow, we had to ask for water a couple times. Parking: easy. All in all, a huge food selection. You get more food here for $ 18/person.

What the hell did I get myself into. Heard this was a decent place to come eat for lunch. 18.99 on a Sunday. I’ve been here about two years ago and I can tell you it’s gone down hill. My poor bf. I made him go during my lunch and it was a complete waste of money. No one knew English. The soda we ordered had no flavor. It was a coke so we switch for sprite. Worse. Flat and non flavorful. We started with sushi. What the… The fish was soggy. That’s when I knew… We had to get up and get out. Called over a guy. Asked if he spoke English and explained the situation. He made me pay for one meal. $ 20.65 I am so disgusted and I just can’t… I have no words How is this place up and running. Everything was cold. Like I pity them. Paid the amount and left. So overall. My bf had 1 piece of sushi. A bite out of a chicken wing. Myself, I had like 4⁄5 pieces of sushi and three mushrooms. Ended up at jack in the box ! My bf is now terrified. We were in and out within 10 mins. DISBELIEF. NEVERAGAINDONTGOHERE

The place was packed when we went for our Mother’s Day ‘late’ lunch(2pm). At first I didn’t know whether it was a good idea to pay $ 18.99 for a lunch buffet. So I scouted the buffet tables to see what they served. When I see the Sashimi, Sushi, Crabs, Lobsters, Crayfish, and other good stuff, I was sold. The hostess said that Sundays are expensive because of the crabs, sushi, and Sashimi, which they ONLY serve on Sundays! We got a good deal since we only paid $ 4.50 for. our 4yr old, who only drank Miso Soup and ate a bit of Tobiko Sushi, Ice Cream, and Chocolate cake. While they charged nothing for oyr 2.5yr old, who devoured 3 SiaoMao, 2 bowls of Wonton Soup, 2 Corn on a Cob, 1 slice of Chocolate cake, and a small scoop of Green Tea ice cream. There was something for everyone in that place: seafood, white meat, not a lot of dark meat(based on my recollection), fried food(calamari, tempura, french fried, bennet), chinese and western desserts. We feasted on the Crabs, Crab legs, Lobster(only got to eat the head, either people get them fast or they don’t put too much lobster in there), Crayfish, Clams, Sushi(They have a variety), Sashimi(I personally like the Mackerel, which is the only raw fish I can tolerate). I highly recommend the clams. It has a black bean sauce with a hint of spicy taste. Just perfect. The other dishes(stri fried chinese dishes) were so so. I like going to a buffet restaurant that’s busy because there’s always fresh food coming out. You just have to be alert when your favorite dish comes out. Since others may be eyeing the same dish. They servers move pretty fast. Sometimes they just get so busy that it gets hard to get some service(I.e. Extra napkins, Spoon, chopsticks(you have to ask from a server, they don’t put it on the table for people to pick up), etc.) But I can see that they try to be efficient, by setting up your table and drinks upfront. This minimizes the chance of missing something since people go in and out fast. We pass by this place everyday, but never tried it until now. I’m glad we did.

Again not the most forgiving restaurant for us Vegetarians. I went up to the sushi chef and asked if they could please make me an avocado roll, he quickly answered«NO!» When there was a huge container of avocados on the counter… Hmmmm! Whateva! I was able to manage with the options that was out there. But it would have been nice to have more sushi options, such as shitaki rolls, avocado roll, etc… This is a carb fest. Play your cards carefully. I had a lot of fun with my friends stuffing our faces. Note! Make sure to eat everything or else they’ll charge you extra for leftover food. Lunch time is the best deal.

The quality and selection of the food is pretty comparable to other Asian Buffets. I do like that they continually make sushi, even when the restaurant is busy, which I can’t say happens at other Asian Buffets I’ve been to. In addition, their variety of sushi is really good. I also like that their veggies aren’t overcooked and are al dente. I thought they had a decent selection of other food and they kept bringing-out more food. The mocha and strawberry cakes are very light and delicious. Offering ice cream was a nice bonus.

More of 2.75 for me. Arrived with my party of 6 to celebrate my parent’s wedding anniversary. My parent’s view of enjoying dinner would be devouring plate upon plate of food, ergo buffet. So to change things up a bit we went to a different spot and ended up going to Oriental Sushi Buffet. Its a typical Chinese — Japanese buffet with a massive variety of sushi selections and Chinese delicacies… Since it was dinner time there were a decent amount of people when we came in. It looked nice but the floor is a tad dingy. The servers where gracious and immediately asked for our preferred drinks. They were very attentive but sometimes too attentive because they would take my plate even if I still need it(for the craw fish shells) I had to tell them several times to not take it too soon. They had an interesting selection of food with the addition of lobster in their menu. I however just tried the hype one time and didnt come back for it. I did enjoy a couple of selections… like the meat kebab(more like a special kind of meat if you asked me), the crawfish was good — way better and succulent than the lobster, and the salt and jalapeño pork(which i dont normally get) The veggie selection was just meeeh but the hubby liked the button mushroom… why oh why he loved it, beats me. The sushi table was OK. nothing profound about it. I was intimidated by their tuna chunks(yes chunks) for their sashimi cause its like your eating a block of ½ butter. I usually make my version of poki salad but i never got to do it(single tear). I did do a congratulatory and appreciative burp after the meal(pardon my rudeness) but that’s just about it.

While buffets have experienced a renaissance in Las Vegas(Caesar’s Bacchanal and Cosmopolitan’s Wicked Spoon) and remain as strong as ever in Asia, they’ve hit upon harder times in the Bay Area. Old favorites like Villa 08(Mountain View) shuttered their doors and even standbys like Todai have been rebranded or taken over as Tomi/Tatami Seafood. Free flowing sushi and sashimi, lobster and crab legs aren’t as prominent anymore and the best«all you can eat» places are now more often on the campuses of Facebook and Google than downtown. That’s where Oriental Sushi Buffet comes in. It doesn’t try to compete on the high end, offers a low entry price and focuses on a small group of items to keep the clientele(and those who like big food gatherings coming). At $ 17.95, Oriental Sushi Buffet won’t compete with my favorite Bay Area buffet at Navio at the Ritz Carlton, but then again, you aren’t going to be breaking the bank here. Quality isn’t anything to write home(or Unilocal) about but people are fans of the crab legs and the cooked dishes(salmon, crab legs, shrimp). Sushi is pretty mediocre but the salmon is passable. Others like hamachi and saba were questionable color. Dessert is pretty spartan like the décor and the interior temperature can be a bit chilly. Overall, while my folks like this place for the steamed crab legs(dinner only), I’ve directed them to the Bacchanal buffet. Still, given the $ 17.99 vs. $ 46.99 price differential and the sad state of Bay Area buffets(Other than high end(Navio, Palace Hotel, Top of the Mark) or narrow ethnic(Palace, Indian) the Crazy/Moonstar/Tatami/Todai are forgettable and Oriental Sushi Buffet is ok. Guess I’ll have to wait until I can try the Google/Facebook/Apple cafeterias. Oriental Sushi Buffet accepts credit cards including American Express.

Not bad, they have a decent selection of food to choose from, though I didn’t find anything particularly spectacular. However, from other patrons, it would seem like their clams are the best deal(people were grabbing plates of them). Got there at 12 on Saturday and most of the tables were open. By 1 to 1:30, though, the restaurant was bustling, though not completely full. The sushi was alright. They have machines that form the rice, which was kind of cool, but it also means that they make a lot of the sushi in batches ahead of time. The other food was ok, too. The crab wasn’t that great, it was all dry and stuff. The chicken was decent. If we could give half stars, I’d give this place a bonus 0.5 stars for being a buffet. With the great loss of Todai in Norcal, we have to make sure with what we got.
