In comparison to The Grill City across the street, PhilHouse by Pacific Island has more Filipino food to choose from! Taste-wise, I also like this place! They have a two item combo that is more than one can handle in one sitting, and their dessert is awesome! From Buko pandan, halo-halo, mais con yelo, and the infamous turon, where can you go wrong!?! Outside, there is someone bbq-ing, so if you want what we call«dirty» food on a stick, like fishballs, squidballs, bbq, pig ears, tofu, etc. and experience Philippines’ style eating, then I suggest go for the whole experience! Do not think of anything… just INDULGED! Indulged in– I had the two item combo, half steamed rice and half pancit, with kalabasa and sitaw as one item and the other item as the beef kaldereta. Drink wise, I had the melon(cantaloupe) drink… it was sweet and awesome!!! For dessert, I had the halo-halo of course, with some turon! Oh yeah… I INDULGED!

I don’t know who Phil is but the food is pretty good. Halo halo had fresh ingredients and were soft and not hard. The lechon kawali was krispy and didn’t taste porky. It’s no wonder why people were lining up for their dinner right after work.

so their Party Tray Packages… are kinda shady?! typical Filipino business(don’t worry, I WILL elaborate) so this place is located inside Island Market, next to Target, on Landess. The food is actually TASTY being that its Filipino fast food. For that reason, we decided to go with their Party Tray package($ 220 for 10 small trays). anyways, to make a long story short, the tray size is the HALF half tray, not the deep half tray size? i just expected more fir the price. 10 trays may sound like alot but not if it is half the size… otherwise, its a descent deal. The awesome part of this story is that ‘they’ properly wrap the trays in celophane(SPILLPROOF) and bring the trays out to your car for you(but not help you load).

One of the worst places to eat. If you order a 3 item combo they charge you extra for a lot of the entrée! You’re very limited to your selection for entrees without an extra $ 1 charge. Their food is so bland and looks like left overs.

Located in the Island Pacific Market. Small sit down Tagalog style restaurant. Similar to Goldilocks and Valero. Must try the squid adobo. Bomb! Ordered the lechon but found the pieces too big. Needed to ask them to chop them up smaller. Portions are pretty large. There is also a Filipino bakery at this location Will definitely come back to try more.
