Regular Visitor at this place. Best Pizza Ever. Being a vegetarian, I go with either John DIlinger or Sears tower. John Dillinger is my Fav. Don’t forget to try their garlic fries, they are awesome.

I just had the worst experience ever after being a regular customer, they took 20 minutes to ask us if we wanted a drink, we were seated next to the restrooms with a awful smell like sewer we asked to be seated some where else and the manager said there’s nothing I can do so I refused the service and was given the worst attitude and they still wanted me to pay my food because it was in the oven being baked.

I had a craving for a deep dish Chicago pizza. This place did not disappoint. We got the Joliet Jake. Surprisingly apricots and 3 kinds of mushrooms is delicious. It satisfies my craving for sure.

This place was a great place, has recently took a turn for the worst. The lady manager on duty saturday afternoon is rude and horrible. Constantly rolling her eyes to all the customers in the restaurant. Poor waitress has to deal with her incompetence. A group of over 30 of us who come here regularly will not be returning. Whoever owns this place is being screwed and is losing alot of business due to the managers service.

Don’t wast your money, this is average pizza at best, I’ve eaten expensive pizza all all over the country and don’t mind paying for good food, — $ 34 for a 14inch very thinly toped pizza,(4 toppings and not much of it), went to bed hungry, that would have even been ok if it were good…

Not true Chicago style deep dish. Real deep dish starts with cheese and sauce on the bottom and is built up. This is just a thick and fluffy pan style pizza similiar to pizza huts pan pizza. Although the ingredients are obviously much fresher. Its basically like ciabatta bread with lots of crisco. That being said it was eatible if you are in the mood for that type of thing. Just don’t expect a true chicago pie. Took another star off for the price. 12.75 for 8 wings just too much. A personal pizza and wings ran me 40 bucks for delivery with tax and tip. Come on. Can get a couple lobsters for that price.

I’ve been going here for years travelled all over the Bay Area for amazing pizza – you could say I have a love for food(and pizza) – honestly this place knows deep dish pizza.

We came here on a Saturday night, and the place was pretty empty except for a few other tables. We ordered garlic fries and calamari for appetizers and a small pepperoni and large Chicago Fire. The appetizers were typical, nothing special. The pizza took a while, I think the menu says it takes up to 30min for their pizza cook once you place your order. That typically would be the case if it were deep dish, which in this case it was not. The crust looks thick, but pretty airy and crunchy, nice texture. The Chicago fire has a nice kick to it from the hot peppers. Pepperoni pizza was nothing extraordinary. The service was lackluster. When we arrived there weren’t that many tables, but after taking our orders it was kind of hard getting any of the server’s attentions. We had so much time waiting for our pizza’s I walked around the restaurant, and there were maybe 7 other tables with diners. Where were the servers and what were they doing? The other thing that baffles me is that a pizza place doesn’t have parmesan on the table for the customers. If you want parmesan you need to flag down a server and then they come over with a cheese shredder and grind some cheese on your slice for you. Umm… you are a pizza joint, shouldn’t you have some Kraft parmesan on the table for your customers? Seems a little ridiculous. Lou Malnatti’s this place is not. Overall: Pro: Pizza was good, appetizers just okay. Con: Service was really lacking. Parmesan upon request only. For pizza, it’s expensive, for the four of us it come out to $ 90. First time here, and possibly the last time.

Walked in to try it out. Got sat down near the bathroom, server passed by several times– was kinda busy to refill our drinks, pizza ordered thin and came out sort of burnt on the crust and was mediocre. Nothing really special. Didn’t even want to finish the pizza. Not coming back sorry! Plus it’s kind of expensive here for bad food :/

I have ordered from different Pizz’a Chicago places over the years with a few problems. It has been a year or so and I tried it again, foolishly expecting better results. I ordered a «thin crust» pizza and dessert cookie for delivery about 20 minutes before they closed. Once it arrived it was quite clear from the first bite of the pizza that it was very undercooked. You could taste the dough in each bite. The outsides were cooked, but the area right under the toppings was very much not. I called the restaurant, which was then closed for about 35 minutes, and voiced my complaints. They sent the delivery driver back out to pick up the pizza. In the meantime I noticed that the cookie was completely raw in the middle! I showed the delivery guy clear evidence of what I was reporting so that he could show the manager. A little while later the driver shows up again with the«replacements». They even cut into the edge of one piece to show me it was cooked… Sure that part was, as it was before, but the rest was not… Again. And here’s the kicker… The pizza and cookie were THESAME ones I sent back… Just put back into the oven!!! How do I know that? Simple. The original pizza had a cup of cilantro on the side… the«new» one had all the cilantro already on it and now baked in, and the piece of uncooked dough I stuck on the lid from the original was still there!!! Not only did they re-use the pizza, thy re-used the box! I’m not sure how they pulled it off since there was 1.5 pieces missing, but the crust on the edges is clearly recooked and now on the verge of burnt. Here’s the kicker, part 2… The cookie was also the exact same one… But smashed together! The original was so undercooked that it constantly broke apart when I would lift it up… It was a bit of a mess when I sent it back… It is clearly the same one smashed together and put back into the oven. I regretfully did not take pics the first time, but I certainly did the second, and have attached them.

Parking: we found meter parking free after 6PM next to the Greyhound right around the corner from the restaurant. SCORE! :) Refreshment: Water! Served in a large mason jar. Meal: We got the Chicago Vienna Hot Dogs. We each ordered one hot dog with fries(two orders) but there’s an option for one order of fries and two hot dogs. Our order came out mistakenly as 2 hot dogs and 1 side of fries. Mya explained the mistake and we ended up getting another order of the same thing on the house. DOUBLESCORE! Appetizer: Calamari, yes, you should order this. Delicious! Not too hard and crispy but still had that soft lightly battered crunch :) WiFi: NONE Now, I gave this place a perfect 5 star even though our order was incorrect. There were more issues here than we’d expected. — 15 minutes of waiting at our table, no one approached us for refreshment, appetizer order or if we’re ready to order. We flagged Mya down seeing if she was our waitress or not. — Mya was not our waitress, but she kindly took our order. We actually let her know that it’s okay, if she could send our waitress this way to us, we’d appreciate it since we saw Myahaving a few large tables in a hectic busy night. — She instead placed in our or and swung by to let us know she rushed it. Yay! But the rush order came out wrong and she apologized. We explained that we didn’t need a second order and could just split the fries. — Mya said no, and we got 4 Vienna Dogs for the price of $ 12 with 2 large fries order… Can’t complain! ** Mya went out of her way to apologize even though none of the incident that night was her fault. She’s got wait it takes to be a waitress on a busy night in DTSJ!

I spent the last two years in Chicago before moving to the valley. I wanted a taste of home. This isn’t it. The service is remarkably bad. Sure Chicago pizza takes about 45 minutes to bake. I therefore ordered a Chicago dog and a salad to be delivered before the pizza. 20 minutes for the salad and an additional 10 for the hotdog. What?! No Chicagoan would put up with this– it’s not even busy! An hour after arriving the 10 inch pizza was done and… dude this is… not at all Chicago style. Nope nope nope. That said, it’s deep dish. It’s slightly more in line with what I wanted than a white tofu and bean pizza so typical in California. Too much crust, sauce is on the wrong side of the pie… probably not returning here. At least the food looks good. Waitress was polite about the wait too.

They tried to give my friend an old burnt piece of pizza saying it was«still good» Added uncooked pepperoni on an already cooked pizza which burned her pizza. Acted like they were to busy for us. Shitty service and food is mediocre. Not coming back

I have been coming here for a long time. Probably over 10 years and counting now. I have been to Chicago once and had their pizza and I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of deep dish pizza, so this review might be a little skewed or bias. There isn’t really anything out of the ordinary, but it is a yummy pizza joint. We usually order the Harry Caray(Canadian bacon & pineapple) and the Rush Street(Pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, linguica & meatballs). Both are pretty yummy, but the consistency is sometimes off. The pizzas take forever to come out. I know they are deep dish so it takes longer, but sometimes they say its gonna be 20 minutes and then it takes an hour and it comes out warm instead of super hot. Other times it comes out hot, but kinda soggy. So it really depends on the day. Overall, I would come back if I wanted pizza and if I was in the area.

Pros Pizza: if you particularly like thick and soft crusted pizza, then this is a place for you. I love that they are also generous with their mozzarella cheese making their pizza even more delicious. Cons Service: not sure if I happen to dine in on a busy Saturday, but the staff looked miserable and was not welcoming at all. I even made reservations ahead time and still had to wait 25 minutes before I was seated.

Well it’s tasty enough but there is nothing Chicago about this pizza outside of the name. I’ve eaten Chicago style pizza in Chicago and this is not it. Too much bread, tomato sauce on the bottom… Nope nope nope. We’ll stick with Paxtis or Blue Line when we want a good pie.

Awesome place. Pizza by slices are only for Cheese, Pepperoni or Combo I ordered a mix of Shirmp Pizza(The Eddie Gaedel) and BbQ chicken(Untouchable). It was awesome. How ever I am not a big fan of BBQ but I liked it. Though I think the teriyaki chicken would have better. Service is slow but worth the wait. Portions are pretty good. Small size pizza(10″) is fairly enough for 2 people. Check out the Pics I have posted !!! Lastly be prepared to walk a few blocks for street parking.

Solid place for some pizza if you love yourself some deep dish style crust! Crust comes out super thick like a soft breadstick, so you’re all about warm and chewy CARBS, this is your spot! They are very generous with toppings, as everything is evenly distributed. Pizza Chicago isn’t a place where they skimp, because after all you need LOTS of toppings to eat with that thick crust! Meats are flavored just right and not too salty… sauce is on point… and crunchy veggies add that perfect texture to the soft crust! With that being said, the«Fridge» is my favorite pizza here. It’s essentially their combo pizza, I suggest giving that a try! If you can’t decide they do let you do a split. The menu is super large, so that’s always a good option as well. Not many negatives. As others have mentioned, it is on the pricey side(about $ 27 for a large… which is definitely enough for ¾ people). And parking exactly isn’t the most ideal situation, most likely you will have to make a walk here from a parking garage(especially if is a friday or weekend night). And they are very forward about the pizza taking 30 minutes, so if you’re impatient and hungry(or have awkward silent moments on dates), I wouldn’t make this your first choice! Solid 4 star spot! You won’t eat the piece of crap pizza that BJ’s serves once you come to the PIZZACHICAGO! Again, it’s on the pricey side(large pizza, beer, appetizer) will cost about $ 60. But I don’t bring down a rating simply because of price. It’s still VERYGOODPIZZA. Go check it out.
