My party and I decided to go to this place on a whim. We were around the area getting food and it was during really bad rush hour(6pm-ish) and we decided to kill some time by getting milk tea while we wait for traffic to die down.(We live pretty far from the area and if we were to drive back during rush hour, it would take us an hour to get back home.) Anywayssss, the place was pretty hidden in a small plaza but there was ample parking! The first thing I noticed was how cute and modern the décor was! Very welcoming. They had a giant list at the beginning of the line that showed their top/favorite drinks which was very helpful. I got the Alpine Green Tea which was number one on the list! My friends got the Fresh Milk Trifecta and the Brown Sugar Jasmine Milk tea. The Alpine Green tea tastes super FRESH and yummy! It was light and not heavy, which I really really like. The Fresh Milk Trifecta was very interesting. It was the first time I ever had milk tea with ACTUALMILK and not heavy half&half or heavy cream like other milktea shops do. The actual milk made the tea very light and fresh. Definitely not a drink that will give you tummy aches after finishing it! All in all this place was very different(in a good way!) and yummy. But the only downside for me is how far it is. I would return if I was in the area again.

Went here with some friends and I looked at the top ten. I hesitated on getting a regular milk tea and wanted to try something different. I ordered the Alpine Green Milk Tea. I told the cashier to make the drink extra strong in milk tea and less sweet(80%). Sadly as I got the drink, it merely tasted only like milk – no strong tea taste and a little bland due to less sweet. The only +1 star was that they were able to make the drink more sweeter but again, the drink did not blow me away. I will attempt to try them again if I am in the area.

Came here again last week and it was a total MISS. I got the hot taro milk tea with boba. It was pretty good. until I got about halfway. I took one sip and my mouth filled with powder… ew. I’m just going to stick with the regular PMT from now on.

Having grew up and lived in Taiwan for 22 years, I also teared up when I had the first bite of the hot grass jelly drink. ITTASTEDLIKEHOME. With my standard topping hard peanuts, along with some other such as tapioca and sago, this drink brought me back the memory lanes of my childhood. AMAZING. Other drinks we had such as #2 Fresh Milk Trifeca, brown sugar jasmine tea and Milk Foam Alpine tea were okay. The salty and creamy flavor of «foam» drinks taste better at Gong Cha.

I couldn’t believe that ANOTHER boba place opened in the Cupertino/Saratoga/San Jose area, but I’m so glad they did! It’s right next to my old dance place, Safeway, and Hyde middle school, making it a popular spot for all ages. I got the earl grey milk tea w/3Q(boba, lychee jelly, grass jelly). Their cups are ginormous and they are generous on the toppings. I liked that you could customize how sweet you wanted it to be and how much ice you want in your drink. There’s a decent amount of seating inside as well. Great for hanging out with friends or a coffee chat. I want to try the Fresh Milk Trifecta next time. Everyone tells me it’s delish!

+ no watered down stuff here + QQ boba chewiness makes for a happy Taiwanese girl — doesn’t call out numbers or names… so don’t move away from the register! — small, like 5 tables maybe? — no games or general entertainment — completely gipped us on the Godiva Hotcoco! DONOTGET! For boba, this place is pretty good. It doesn’t water anything down and the regular size is a general«large» compared to other places. They’re about 50cents more than others so in actuality, I think it evens out. They’ve got some good combos and there’s a nice list on the side to tell you what’s popular. Per the trend, you can adjust your ice level and sugar level. I got classic Boba Milk tea because that’s how I judge any boba spot and friends got the 3Q and the Passion fruit tea and a Godiva Hotcoco because it was new and looked delicious. Personally, we found the 3Q to be extremely WERID. Tapioca balls-ok, grass jelly-ok, but lychee in a dairy based drink was just strange. The Passion fruit tea was good though. Godiva hotcoco= RIPOFF. Our cup was 70% full and the drink was close to $ 4. Get yourself a regular ol’ boba for less money and more deliciousness. Business model wise, I think there’s better. I went with 3 friends for a catch up session and we were on the hunt for a table. It was a windy, winter day and the door was WIDE open. Everyone was in their puffy jackets and yet I had to mention to ask to close the door for any staff to notice the temperature and clothing of their customers. Saving on heater money? On top of that, they do NOT announce numbers or names so if you are not standing and waiting for your drinks, you’ll virtually never know it’s ready. And I get that for most people it’s not a problem, but when you’re sitting down at a table to secure a spot, it causes some confusion when you’re sitting for 15mins wondering what’s up. Overall, good to-go boba, probably wouldn’t hang out here much though.

#1 Alpine green tea: refreshing, tea forward. Not your typical green, black, oolong, etc tea. #6 Earl Grey QQQ: earl grey milk tea with boba, lychee jelly, grass jelly. Not a fan because the tea flavor was masked by too much jelly/boba. Perhaps I’ll try only grass jelly next time. #9 Grapefruit green tea with crushed ice: super refreshing! If you are a fan of real grapefruit, I definitely recommend because this drink has the real pulp and slight bitterness of grapefruit but is offset by the sweetness of honey. #10 Passionfruit green tea QQ: passionfruit green tea with boba and lychee jelly. Quite sweet, too many competing fruit flavors. Would have preferred no lychee jelly and maybe 50% sweet. #17: Alpine green milk tea: the drink my boyfriend swears by. This drink turned him into a TeaTop addict. Creamy, dreamy, and sweet. They are almost always busy from what I’ve seen, so you may have to wait in line, but it moves quickly. It also may be difficult to get any seats indoors during cold weather. 10 drink stamp card gets you one free! I wish I didn’t live 30 minutes away from TeaTop, but that may be for the better. Open one closer to meee!

I always LOVE trying new boba spots. I found this place via Unilocal after we ate at a nearby restaurant. Upon parking, this place looked cracking! There were a lot of people and the lights inside were bright — all the signs were there for a yummy, good boba joint. The selection here isn’t crazy extensive. The menu contains basic flavor milk teas and teas. My boyfriend ordered the pearl milk tea and I originally ordered the green milk tea. After I had ordered and looked at the menu again, I didn’t realize that they had a jasmine milk tea. I wanted to change my order, but it looked like they had just finished making our drinks. The kind man behind the counter(possible owner?) allowed me to taste the green milk tea and if I didn’t like it, he would gladly make me the jasmine milk tea. Now that’s exceptional customer service! I didn’t like it so I got a jasmine milk tea. However I think they do put a lot of milk in their milk teas. I could barely taste the jasmine tea flavor, BUT the drink wasn’t horrible or anything. Their boba balls were sweet and soft — just how I like it!

Pretty standard for a tea place — I didn’t find any of their signature items that stood out to me, and their menu is pretty small for the typical boba/tea places in the area. The store front is also pretty small with nothing of interest nearby. The milk foam isn’t as good as the ones I’ve had from Gong Cha, and the tea flavor isn’t particularly strong. There’s decent parking since it’s in a mall with Safeway, but overall, I would only come if someone else suggested this place(it’s not one of the tea places I would think of first).

Wow I thought the boba scene in the south bay was already saturated and when I found out another chain has opened, I didn’t expect anything this good. Tea top is from Taiwan so I knew it would be authentic since boba originated from Taiwan. I decided to go with the taro milk tea with sago. It was like a meal in its own. The taste was soooo rich and had so much depth. There were obviously real taro pieces and the sago was such a nice touch. The only thing is this made me really full that I couldn’t really eat my lunch after haha but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. They have stamp cards and accept credit cards with no minimum purchase it seems. I definitely want to come back and try the different drinks since it’s so close to my house!

Compared to all of the other bubble tea options that are in the Bay Area, TeaTop doesn’t really stand out. Their menu is relatively small. Grabbed a «hot» taro tea with sogo. The«hot» tea was more like slightly warm. The«chunks» of taro was fully shredded pieces. Not at all what was promised. Service was fine. Accepts credit cards. They also have a frequent drinker card. In the landscape of bubble tea in the Bay Area, TeaTop doesn’t stand out.

This place is awesome! Stumbled upon this boba joint after dinner at gokaku. They close at 10pm today but it was poppin when we were there at 9:40 pm. I love their selection and the option of having less ice or sugar. Let’s get straight to the point, there are two important things in boba drinks: boba and tea. Boba– Q/chewy. Not as sweet as honey boba but definitely well cooked Tea– most boba joints have excessively sweet artificial flavors. The tea is here actually quite premium! I love the earl grey 3 Q which has boba, lychee jelly, and grass jelly at 80% sugar and less ice. The sweetness was just right. Taste aside, it makes me happy that the drink is much larger than most. This would’ve been a large at other boba joint. I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area!

Audrey Hepburn once stated, «The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.» While that may true for many moments in life, sometimes I think the best thing to hold onto is a cup of boba. And I definitely wouldn’t mind holding onto a cup of boba from TeaTop! Stephanie S. took me and our two brothers to TeaTop for our second dose of boba that day. Can you tell we’re all about that boba life? The store is bright, clean, with a handful of tables and seats. Even with a line, they take orders quickly and your drinks come out in a timely fashion. Their Top 10 Drinks are: Signature Alphine Green Tea, Fresh Milk Trifecta, Lemon Green Tea with Crushed Ice, Mung Bean Milk Slushy, Taro Milk Tea with Sago, Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3Q, Milk Foam Oolong Tea, Pearl Milk Tea with Red Beans, Grapefruit Green Tea with Crushed Ice, and Passion Green Tea Medley. — Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3Q: great tea flavor and plenty of toppings. Boba was cooked perfectly! — Fresh Milk Trifecta: light and refreshing to drink — Hot Taro Milk Tea with Sago: this isn’t the fake purple kind of taro drink, which is awesome! They have actual taro bits, and the sago kind of floats on the top so you won’t get to it until the end. My only complaint about this drink was that it was more lukewarm than hot. TeaTop definitely is on the top of my favorite bobas list!

Came on a weekday night, the line was empty, but all the tables were full. The interior is nice and the menus are right above the register. When choosing what to get, it was helpful to have the list of the top drinks near the menu. I got the earl gray tea with milk foam and boba. The milk foam was great! It was rich and cut the taste of the tea. The boba was not my favorite. It was over cooked, soggy, and did not have much flavor. Overall, I enjoy the tea and the milk foam but I was not a fan of the boba. The service was patient and helpful when I asked questions. I would want to come back and try their other teas and get a different add in.

It a starts hype, when Tea Top come to the area, with long lines and menu offering unique selections. Judging from the crowd, I was hoping this place would bring a true bubble tea experience. I had the Signature Alpine green tea with boba in 50% sweetness. The tea, was pretty standard, the taste reminds me of those of Gong Cha(which I wasn’t fond of as well). I do like how they are true to their sweetness level, 50% is perfectly sweet for me… but everything else is meh. Overall, Tea Top really didn’t blow my mind and I don’t think I would be coming back.

In less than four days, my hubby and I made our trek back to Tea Top, just to make sure if it really is as great as we thought it was from our first visit. Coming back on a Thursday night meant it wasn’t busy at all so we took our time ordering. My hubby didn’t enjoy the brown-sugar jasmine milk tea the last time, so he went for the Alpine Green Milk Tea instead. I personally had no idea what that was, but from the cashier’s explanation, it was a stronger tea than the typical Jasmine. He also added mango pudding(a little odd, but he tends to be an adventurous guy). I played it a little safer and got the Jasmine Milk tea with grass jelly. I actually sat at one of their many tables while we waited and was pleasantly surprised at how soft the red chairs were. So plushy! No wonder so many people like to sit here and hang out. Our drinks came out fairly quickly and we were so eager to try it, we popped the lids right there! My drink was PERFECT. While Tea Top does tend to lean over to the milk side on the milk-tea spectrum, I did like the smooth and creamy taste with every sip. But the one thing that really stood out for me was the grass jelly. A lot of places have grass jelly that just add another level of texture to the drink, but Tea Top’s grass jelly actually has a distinct earthy flavor, eliciting quite the pleasant surprise. As for my hubby’s Alpine milk tea, the cashier was right: the tea is quite strong. It gave off an herbal-like taste that was pretty interesting. My hubby seemed to like it since he kept drinking it, but adding the mango pudding was probably not the best choice. It was too strange of a blend – at least for me, but my hubby had no problem downing it. So now that we have been there twice, we are proud to say Tea Top is a solid place for boba. They have interesting flavors we have never seen before and I can’t wait to try them all out. Yay for Tea Top!

My best friend Rommoney W. recommended my friend Elizar M. and I try this new boba shop out since we were around the area(Mitsuwa Marketplace). As we arrived, there was a grand opening banner out in the store front. Long line and crowds of people surrounding the outside tables. This boba shop reminds me of a combination of T4 and i-Tea but in a more orange/citrus like theme. They even smell like citrus inside, lol. Service was pretty good. Cashier was friendly and asked me how I liked my drink and was patient with my thought process, since I blank out at the simplest questions sometimes, haha. I ordered the TOP6, which is oolong milk tea with 3 toppings; pearls, lychee jelly and grass jelly I believe. Standard ice and 80% sugar. Still was a little too sweet for my liking, but I can adjust the sweetness the next time. Pretty strong tea taste still even with the sweetness overpowering the drink. Would recommend coming back if you’re around the Santa Clara/Cupertino area! My friends enjoy their drinks as well(Taro milk tea with sago and Brown sugar milk tea).

We’re a bit spoiled in the Bay Area. We have a plethora of options for milk and boba teas and it seems like more new options are popping up all over the place. Case in point: TeaTop, a chain from Taiwan, that adds another Asian establishment to go alongside the newly opened Fiji Huoshao and the popular Mango Garden. Ordering is super simple and the staff has the formula down completely. Service was super quick and efficient. You select your drink type, choose an ice level, and then select a sweetness level. I opted for less ice and 50% sweetness. My order: Milk Foam Oolong Tea — $ 3.75. Only one size is available and my drink was ready quickly. A nice milk foam layer is on top and the clearer oolong tea can be seen on the bottom. It’s plenty sweet even at 50% and the oolong flavor is pretty mild and easily hidden by the milk foam when mixed in. For fans of creamy drinks(which seem to be all the rage now), I can see this hitting the spot. It was refreshing but not enough tea flavor for me. TeaTop accepts credit cards including American Express.

I was first introduced to TeaTop by my friend who absolutely loves this place! With just one sip from her Signature Alpine Green Milk Tea, I knew I had to go here myself. The taste of her milk tea was just that amazing. The opportunity presented itself today to go to Teatop when my friends and I wanted to satisfy our boba cravings. Thus, I brought my friends here just a couple of hours ago and I was so excited to buy the same delicious drink for myself! There are a lot of drinks on the menu that I still have yet to try. Of course, my eyes focused on the one and only important flavor I was looking for — Signature Alpine Green Milk Tea. I will have to make another visit to try out the other drinks that they offer here. My drink was not as sweet as I thought it would be(it’s my fault, I asked for 80%) and the kind employee(who I believe is the manager) was happy to add more sweetness to my drink without hesitation or complaint. When he returned my drink, I was very happy with its entirely new flavor. Customer service was awesome here because of their helpful staff and quickness in making the drinks. My friends also mentioned that they liked this place as well. Looks like I have to bring even more friends here next time :)

Came back here several times and tried their taro milk tea with sago, grapefruit green tea with crushed ice, lemon green tea with crushed ice, and another alpine green mt! The taro milk tea wasn’t as sweet as other taro drinks I’ve had and definitely wasn’t amazing, but I appreciate their use of real taro chunks. It’s a pretty decent drink but there wasn’t anything special about it. I loved the grapefruit green tea and the refreshing taste but it was basically just drinking grapefruit and ice blended together. not somethinh I would buy unless I was in dire need of a refresher. The lemon green tea was a bit too strong for me and almost tasted like those cold medicine you drink from the pharmacy. I got the alpine green mt again but it wasn’t as AMAZING and jaw-dropping as before. It was still good and I might come back to try it again… along with the earl grey with 3Q!
