love the hyooooge sandwiches here. Bring your appetite. Pretty laid back place. Quick in and out if strapped for time.

I come here from time to time and most of the time the food and the service is on point. My favorite sandwich from this place is the Malibu, it’s kinda pricey but to me it’s worth it. One time my friends and I wanted to grab something to eat. Most of them wanted to get Iguanas but when we got to the plaza the line was out the door and we weren’t down to wait. So we decided to go to Beach Hut Deli and this guy named Brian was working at the time. Whoever hired him, good job causes he’s on point when it comes to customer service. He’s hella down to earth and cause of him, my friends come back every so often. 5⁄5

Terrible service(Brian and some other guy). Very bad attitude. Meh food. Very bad vibe. Had dragged my friends to give business to local eatery — but thoroughly bad experience. Brian and some other guy had such a bad attitude — that they didn’t care at all. Too bad. Me and my 9 friends are never showing up there.

:(. Really saddens me to have to give 2 stars. I’ve been looking forward to trying the Marley nachos for the past 3 years, ever since I heard of the establishment«Beach Hut Deli» in Davis. I kept waiting and waiting to finally try it, but when I made my way there, the shop in Davis was in the middle of relocating. I’m hardly ever down in this area(even though yes, I live closer to here than Davis). I was in the area about 4 months ago and saw this place, and I told myself I would come next time I was in the area so I could finally have the Marley nachos. Today was the day. I was thoroughly disappointed :(. «Half Order» is $ 11, but don’t worry, it’s massive. Nacho cheese was a little bland, and not warm at all. Didn’t even finish it, threw a lot of it away(which is pretty rare). I don’t know… maybe 3 years ago it sounded good but as I read the ingredients again… it just doesn’t sound that great. I’m not sure what I was thinking, but now I can say I never want to try the Marley nachos again. It was basically like stadium style nachos, but with some other extra ingredients, which might not be too bad at a stadium, but man my expectations were too high. I doubt I will come back here for their sandwiches, not because I think this place is bad, it’s just I’m sure I can find other sandwich places that are closer. :(:(:(.

I love it here. This tall guy, I think his name is Ryan or something, is amazing. He’s super friendly, and has a good rapport with his coworkers. Overall I love the atmosphere and the constantly playing football games. The food is excellent, if expensive. My only major complaint is the constant ragay music playing. Maybe mix it up with some Taylor swift or screamo. Oh and Ryan’s really handsome.

I was really not in the mood for a sandwich so I ordered off what I remember as the munchie category. I got beach bites that were $ 7, worth it. The posts salad side I purchased was eh, salty for me. I got a litre of beer that I don’t remember the name of. The service was good the night we went, it was during a warriors game and they had the sound on and all for their customers. They’re in the very back of the San Felipe plaza, passed the cvs on your righthand side. I definitely always take forever to read the sandwich ingredients, soooo many unique choices.

I wanted something comforting for dinner. Unilocaling for places around the roommate’s, I found Beach Hut Deli. This place has never really been on my radar, but I was lured in by their nachos! I dropped by on Friday, November 27th a little after 6pm to grab takeout for dinner. *Malibu: hot, chopped pastrami and swiss on toasted garlic cheese bread with mayo, Italian dressing and avocado($ 9.95) *Marley nachos: extra thick tortilla chips topped with nacho cheese, diced tomatoes, red onions, peppers, cream cheese, avocados and fresh bacon bits($ 10.95 for half order) The malibu was the warm comfort I was looking for on a cold night. The pastrami, cheese and avocado all melded together into a nice meaty, melty, creamy bite. And putting it on garlic cheese bread?! So good! The nachos were delicious. Huge for a half order. I wasn’t too sure about the cream cheese, but surprisingly, it worked. I kind of wished they had a version with beef or chicken as the bacon was a little too much richness upon richness. I did adore their nacho cheese! Good pastrami sandwich and great nachos! The nachos are huge, so make sure you have some friends to share it with!

After several visits to BEACHHUTDELI, I feel I owe them an extra star. I will say that the scoring for this place is a little tricky. Here’s why: Overall, their selection of sandwiches is very average. Everything I have gotten there is about on par with, say, Erik’s Deli… BUT, they do have one particular sandwich that is freakin 5-star poetry in your mouth. The MALIBU is without a doubt, the BEST pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had! It is chopped hot pastrami, swiss, avocado, mayo and italian dressing on toasted garlic cheddar sourdough. BOMB! I’ve had a few others try it, all have said it is immaculate! Call BHD four stars, and add a little love for their superb craft beer selection. 4.25 stars!

I never hear anything about The Beach Hut Deli and I’m assuming not many others have either because the place as practically deserted when I came by. The cashier was nice and patient as my SO and I decided on what to get. So many choices for sandwiches. I’m quite picky so not too many stood out for me. I went with a roast beef sandwich with mayo and avocado. It was very fatty and creamy and rich. Delicious none the less, but probably not something I would order on a weekly basis. I look forward to coming back and trying others. The theme was adorable: tropical getaway sort of thing.

I don’t mind paying a pretty penny for a sandwich if it’s a good sandwich. I guess we don’t have too many legit sandwich and delis here in the West Coast compared to the East Coast. Most folks here are use to Togos, Quiznos, and Subway. So it’s nice for higher quality sandwich and deli spots to open up. The Beach Hut Deli is definitely above of that of the aforementioned places. The sandwiches are full of fresh ingredients and plenty of meat so it doesn’t seem to be more bread and veggies. However, the reason I had to deduct 1 star, was because on one occasion at this location, the sandwich maker who made my sandwich skimped on the meat on my sandwich. I know this because I order the same sandwich and ordered it from a different Beach Hut Deli(in Morgan Hill) and a few times at this location but made from different person. I wish I got his name, but I remember it was a Caucasian dude, fairly young. So check your sandwiches, if you have ate at other beach hut locations, or you know this time around there seems to be less meat on the same sandwich you always order, let them know. That was the only time I felt ripped off, because the sandwiches here are not cheap. They are significantly more than other spots, but you tend to overlook at the price once you see you are getting a quality sandwich loaded with ingredients esp the protein(meat) and not skimping. So when you see them skimp, hell yea I notice the price I paid for it. Anyways, if it wasn’t for that one dude who skimped on the meat, i would’ve gave this place a perfect score. So know what type of sandwich place this is before deducting stars because it cost more than subway. They have a nice clean establishment here. Nice welcoming décor, and those touch screen fountain drink machines that have so many choices. Mainly, the quality of sandwiches you are getting here.

Found them storing food on the ground, see picture. My sandwich maker also didn’t wash his hands after handling my money. Wow, two health code violations in one visit!!!

Tried giving this another try, even brought a friend. Sadly, still not as good as the Roseville/Rocklin one. My buddy said it was 1 star. I actually had to recut the bread on my sandwich because they cut it all wrong — like in ¼ & ¾. See the picture.

This is the only Beach Hut Deli that I haven’t been impressed with. The customer service was weak. They had a posted beer list that was inaccurate, so I couldn’t get the beer I paid for which is annoying. It’s also annoying that they made no attempt to change the chalk sign even after realizing it’s not up to date. They also messed up on my husband’s sandwich order. I ordered a small(which I always do) and it was significantly smaller than usual, but I’m not sure if that’s a new corporate change or not. The sandwiches were good, but we we’ll go to the other location next time.

Aloha! Pure love, food and ambience in one. How about a cold beer or glass of vino on a surfboard watching your favorite TV program. Rudy the server was great, what a nice respectful young man. I only wish and pray that more of our younger community would follow in this man’s footsteps. Just a positive outlet, truly made my day with his inspiration and smile. God bless you my brother I wish you only the best and I pray that people will feed off your good energy. Mahalo!

I don’t go here too often because the sandwiches are pricey for small portions, however, the sandwiches are pretty good so I’ll come here once in a while. It’s usually pretty slow when I come here considering it’s next to the college. The service is quick. The place has a good vibe. I always order the Santa Barbara, which has bacon, cream cheese, avocado, and alfalfa sprouts for the main ingredients. It’s a good balance of salty and creamy. Minus one star because they only put ONE slice of bacon I the whole sandwich

I thought, «Well, I’ve seen this place… and I live nearby… why not try it?!» So, I was looking for a pastrami sandwich and I was offered the MALIBU(«Hot, chopped pastrami and Swiss on toasted garlic cheese bread with mayo, Italian dressing and avocado.»). Sure, I’ll try it. Well, I skipped the avocado because I just don’t like it, and I took my sandwich home, not expecting much. Wow! Definitely not Kosher, but certainly delicious. The melted Swiss, mayo, and the taste of that bread combined perfectly with a generous helping of pastrami to make a very filling and satisfying dinner. Much better than I had expected! I’ll be back!

I’m a huge fan of deli sandwich and Beach Hut Deli is definitely my top list of deli joints! This location is located near Evergreen Valley College which is great for college students to hang out. My favorite sandwiches on the menu are Beach Burger, Haole Cheese Steak, and The North Shore. My one and only favorite would have to be the Haole Cheese Steak. The hot melted cheese covered in steak was so delicious. They added the cream cheese which is a plus! They include 3 different sizes: 6 inch, 9 inch, and 12 inch(I think I got that right lol). The have variety of different type of sandwiches: gourmet, specialty, and hot melt. Also, the customer service is fantastic! All the employees are very nice and helpful. When you walk in the store, you’re being greeted by all of them, not just one. Great sandwiches, great customer service, and great location! What more can you ask for.

I just don’t know about this place. I think it’s inconsistent. First visit: My sister had regularly brought me home left over sandwiches from Beach Hut Deli, and they were something to write home about. «Cream cheese in a sandwich?» How could 15 year old me have known that it would go on to become a staple ingredient in every sandwich I consumed? A few years later, licensed me decided it was appropriate to pay a visit to the sandwich that changed my life. But I was so so disappointed. I don’t eat meat. I wanted a vegetarian sandwich, I got meat instead. And no cream cheese. My sisters sandwich was something Subway would serve. I vowed to never return. Second visit: A pleasant surprise. Boyfriend Jaime R and I were in the neighborhood and feeling like sandwiches would satisfy more than pizza. I was cautious, he was all for it. We both enjoyed our sandwiches because all the fixings in them were complimentary. I’m looking at you, cream cheese and sprouts. We skipped out on their offer to add chips and a drink for god knows what outrageous price, and went to the CVS next door for our snacks. I like to think it was cheaper, and we got the chips and drinks we liked. Consider doing this yourself! Overall, If I’m in the area(which I always am) I will consider coming back. I won’t drive out of my way for here because I don’t trust it. Good sandwiches though.

I’m taking off 2 stars because one, it’s pricey. Another star off because the cheese they used on the Chili Cheese Nachos tasted like the cheap canned stuff. The Costco brand Nacho sauce is better than what they served here. And yes, I’m a Nacho Connoisseur. You didn’t know? Because I was in the mood for a salad, I went with a half order of The Mesa with romaine and spinach(you can choose the leaves). I also opted to have the dressing on the side so that I could toss it myself. It was a smart move because between the bacon, seasoned chicken, avocado, onions, tomatoes and melted cheese, it was plenty flavorful on its own without the spicy ranch dressing. The interior was super clean and the beach theme was carried throughout. I’m a little bummed that I didn’t get to see the sand patio outside– I didn’t even know it existed until afterwards when I looked at pics. I guess that gives me a reason to come back.
