It is okay, not as good as expected, maybe there are personally taste in there.

If you’re looking for a standard Philly cheesesteak with a meat-to-bread ratio equivalent to that of Subway, then you wouldn’t mind this place. Good enough flavor but the bang-for-your-buck isn’t there and adding a fountain drink plus a few greasy jack in the box-esque fries doesn’t help either.

My best friend at work loves this place and since I rarely eat out, I tried it for the first time last week. I wanted to love it as much as he does but I was not thrilled with my sandwich. I ordered a single 10 inch and asked for just the meat and cheese. The sandwich was small and the beef portion was scant. Plus, it had grilled onions and peppers after I had specifically requested a PLAIN sandwich(!). My order with the simple sandwich and drink was 8.00 which I think is a lot for the small portion. I’ve been to Philadelphia and have had an authentic Philly cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz(‘authentic’ cheesesteaks contain-beef and cheese only, nothing else) and this sandwich just could not measure up in a million years. I might accompany my friend here again but I won’t be ordering anything.

This location is way different from how it was a year ago. Also completely different from the shops that are in quieter towns. This time they appeared to skimp on the cheese and peppers. The manager woman also appeared to be yelling and embarrassing the other staff all night. They do offer delivery service through Unilocal eat24 and door dash app. The price for each Sandwhich starts at about $ 6 and goes all the way up to $ 15 if you want extra toppings. The meat itself is fully cooked but it’s frozen and has that frozen meat taste to it.

Love love love this place! Always super fresh and ridiculously delicious. I never had a cheesesteak sandwich before I came here and now I’m addicted. The meat is always cooked perfectly and the bread is never dry. Oh and it doesn’t hurt that Tim is awesome!

Not the best place. One thing I would suggest is to have them put the peppers on the side. Otherwise your sandwich will be very soggy. I stick to normal mushroom hoagies. Their garlic fries are good. Went here I think a week ago and we were wanting some cheese fries. They didn’t have any so the cook was Cool with making us some. 3 stars because this place is over priced.

This is a great cheese steak spot in San Jose. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

What a fantastic little spot in San Jose! My cheesesteak was cooked perfect and the peppers on point. It was after I finished my sandwich and fries that I realized I could’ve put cheese sauce on it :(

Unfortunately you need to check your watch before you come to this place. They have no hesitation serving some members of your party and not others claiming its closing time, when you are clearly in line before the posted closing time. Customer service is not in their repertoire. They will straight discriminate you on the weekend and treat you like any other drunk college kid, even if you’re completely sober and just trying to get dinner. Poor customer service and average food. My recommendation is to move along.

The chicken tasted like fake meat. It made me sick so Im not going back to that place ever again, plus the steak fries were a little under cooked.

I’m not a connoisseur of cheese steak, but the food I got here was amazing!!! I got the original and one with mushrooms. Ate it while it was piping hot, steaming and juices were dripping down my fingers. The gentleman behind the counter was SUPER friendly and made me feel very welcome. GREATJOB!!! Prices were super reasonable, 4.99 for a 7 inch original which is definitely enough for 1 not too hungry person. Can’t wait to come back and try more soon!

Best cheesesteak ever! It is SOOOGOOD! I used to think that it was only good because I was always drunk when I had them in downtown San Jose but I had a cheesesteak for lunch on valentines day and man, so good! Love to come back here. !

It’s been years since I’ve been to a Cheesesteak Shop. Coming from Hawaii, there’s no good Philly cheese steaks out there. I brought my husband for the first time today, and he sure did love their sandwich! I ordered the regular classic cheese steak, with steak fries(pic posted) and he ordered the King Philly with extra cheese(no pic). I have no complaints. The place is clean, and the people behind the counter are nice. Knowing that my Husband, and of course myself, loves their cheese steaks, we’ll definitely be back.

This place was a total miss for me. I was so bummed out because I really wanted a tasty steak sandwich. I came across this place through Unilocal, and I thought I’ll give this place a try. I would give this place a 1.5 star rating but my boyfriend’s sandwich tasted okay so I’ll give it a 2 star rating. My boyfriend and I came here around 6pm, and there was no line at all. Since it was our first time visiting, they gave us onion rings as a free complimentary which was nice of them. The onion rings came out super oily, but I cannot complain about it since it was free. I ordered the original cheese steak sandwich with no cheese because I really can’t tolerate cheese in my food. But I added bacon into it, so that makes it awesome! You would think it tasted super good, but nope. When I got my sandwich there was barely any bacon bits in it, and the bread was super soggy, definitely not up to par. Also, the meat was dry and not seasoned at all, it tasted bland. Compared to my boyfriend’s sandwich, he got the phily’s cheese steak sandwich which was a Saturday’s special so it was cheaper by couple cents. His tasted alight probably because he had cheese in his sandwich, but the bread was still soggy. The only thing I would recommend from their menu is the curly fries. It was very crispy. My boyfriend loved it. I don’t think I would be coming back here, since there are so many other food options to choose from. Lets just say I would pass this place in a heart beat. Sorry, this place is not meant for me. It’s you and it needs a whole lot of improvement.

Uhoh. La Vic’s you have some competition on your hands. I am obsessed with la Vic’s. I live in SF but drive to San Jose just for their burritos. But one day I didn’t want it so I went next door hear and i… fell in love. Their sandwiches are sooo good. My boyfriend and me couldn’t decide between pizza my heart and the hogie so we got both to split them and then both of us wanted the full hogie. I recommend the one with the egg. #delicious and pretty unique!

Granted I was STARVING when I got my sandwich it was delicious! My market team came here for lunch and I was able to get the cheesesteak with jalapeños in it. They give you chips with it but you can upgrade to fries for $ 1.49 more. Definitely a must try! The bread was perfect! It was toasted but still soft inside so it added well to the sub as a whole. They have a load of TVs so we were able to catch a bit if the World Cup. Also they bring the subs out to you so it’s pretty nice. The soda fountain is a bit hidden but it’s in the back near the kitchen.

Loved my experience here! Came here at around 1AM, well past it’s hours of 11AM — 9PM, and both the food and service were amazing! One of the kind dudes that work there even opened the door for us as he saw us about to walk in. c: +++! Shared the King Philly with twister fries and both were nommmssyyyy! Hoagie roll with the melted cheese, plenty of meat, grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers were so good! Everything just came together so perfectly! I love me my fries, and I most definitely enjoyed my twister fries! Crispy and tasty! And to add, they even knew to split our sandwich in two separate baskets for us to share without us asking! Even more +++!!! They even have special deals here on certain days! c: It was only $ 7.99 for the King Philly(50% more cheese and meat) instead of it’s usual $ 8.49 price on Fridays! No complaints at all here! Everything was tasty and the great service made me an even happier patron! c:

I thought I already reviewed this place? This place is right across the street from my building so there’s no way I could just skip out on it. After skimming the menu, I decided to go for the 7″ premium cheesesteak with mushrooms. For lunch, this is a pretty big meal. I love how soft the bread is, and the filling/bread ratio was totally off — in a great way! They totally fill it up with spicy and non-spicy bell peppers just the way I like it. I came back a second time and was given one of those stamped cards! Can’t wait to fill it up :)
