I returned to Creekside Bistro today and was very disappointed. I see on Unilocal it has changed hands and that makes sense. The old owner was perhaps not the friendliest person, but he had decent foods. The new set up is, if anything, less friendly, but the food is now very poor and the prices are much higher. To be avoided unless desperate.

Today we used Creekside for catering for lunch and the sandwiches and salads were fresh and delicious and everything was delivered on time. The owner was very nice, responsive with questions, etc. — would definitely recommend!

New owner, new choices for mediocre food. I get really annoyed by people who open restaurants only as a way to make a buck(and avoid being accountable to a boss) and having zero passion for serving deliciously seasoned food at a fair price. I just ordered their tuna salad for like 8 bucks and the portion of tuna was less that one of those small cans you can get for under a buck at the store(I’m attaching a photo). And to make matters worse, there is zero flavor/seasoning in the tuna. Tastes like you are eating it straight form the tin– oily, flavorless, uninspired. i have never worked a day in the food service industry and the tuna salad I make at home is 1000 times better than this airport food. I work 40 feet away from this place but, with zero love & zero passion for amazing food, this please will get zero more dollars from me, I’m done with the Weakside Bistro.

The BBQ chicken plate will change your life. I never write help reviews, but it is that good. I’ve gotten it like 5 times in the last two weeks!

This place changed ownership recently and nothing is better. At least with the previous owner, you could look forward to high quality food and good value for what you’re paying. Nowadays, there are no more sides with sandwiches you purchase, and the sandwiches are made with low quality ingredients. The beloved tri-tip sandwich I used to get regularly is now made with crappy flatter bread and crappy fast melting cheese(not the provolone it used to be). Moreover, the beef now has Asian flavorings like ginger and is too sweet. And I don’t even want to talk about the caramelized onions… because there’s barely any there on the sandwich. Very disappointed in all the changes that came with the change in ownership, but the prices remain the same. Food here is less than appetizing and I would not go unless I’m starving and out of other options.

Been eating here a few times a month and almost every time I come they either get my order wrong or it takes 45 minutes to get my food. Or both. Today is the fourth time this month that I have eaten here and they gave me the wrong order. They always try to blame it on me as well. Also, occasionally it takes forever to get your food. On two occasions a coworker and I ordered the same dish and my coworker got it in 10 minutes and I got it in 45. The dishes were identical(spicy bbq chicken). I do not recommend eating food at this establishment. The workers are disrespectful to customers and the food takes forever to get.

This establishment was acquired by a new owner on 6⁄1. I’d heard many office dwellers didn’t care for the previous owner’s menu, high prices or attitude. Today was my third try with the new operator. When the cashier arrived to take my order, she didn’t look up or exchange a greeting. No ‘Sorry to keep you waiting’ or ‘How can I help you?’ Very off-putting. The two wraps I’ve had were flat and little lettuce compared to a wrap I can get at Togo’s for at least $ 1 less. You don’t get so much as a pickle with your lunch. At least, the previous owner gave you oranges or pre-made potato salad with your sandwich. This jury member is still out on this café’s food. So far, I don’t see any reason to look forward to eating from here like I did with the previous owner. It is just a place to go to when I have few options. If anyone could recommend something good, please put it in your review.

Friendly staff who are rather efficient and patient with all kinds of people who come in. Delish food and drinks, I would recommend if doing business in this building complex. Parking can be challenging though/:)

Ok I’m downgrading to a rating of 1 star. And they are lucky to get that in my opinion. So I believe in 2nd chances… or at least redemption. Today I want a salad. I order the Mesclun Plus salad which comes with Herbed Butter Focaccia bread as described on the menu. I pay an extra 1.50 to add poached chicken. After I pay, the cashier tells me they are out of focaccia bread. I ask what can it be replaced with, she shrugs her shoulders and says wheat bread. I’m annoyed. I tell her I’ll just take no bread then. How do you know my mouth wasn’t all fixed up for this herbed butter focaccia bread? The owner is standing right beside her, noticing the disgruntled look on my face. Did he speak up and offer something better than some damn wheat bread? Absolutely not, as I would expect. Last time I’m spending money in this establishment. I’ll just have to get in my car and drive or walk somewhere else to spend money on a better lunch with better service.

Went for lunch today. There was a red hair in my salad(gross). Showed it to manager and he said«we don’t have any red haired people here so it must be something else.» He then asked if I still didn’t want it. When I said no he put it in the bin and that was that. No offer to make a new one or something else. But I’d already lost my appetite anyways.

Let’s take a poll — If you were a restaurant manager and a customer had a dish with red hair in it would you: A — offer to make them a new meal B — offer to refund the meal C — tell the customer none of your employees have red hair, ask the customer if they make problems at every restaurant they go to, and repeatedly dodge making that customer a new meal or giving a refund If your answer was C congratulations! Creekside Bistro wants you! Decent food but I’m never going back on principle. Eat at you own risk.

I wish I could give no stars! Bought a coffee and bagel and sat for a moment to meet someone there. The owner came up to us and asked us to leave telling us the place was for paying customers only even though I had purchased something earlier. He was very rude and embarrassed me. Another time, I witnessed him in a verbal altercation with an employee in front of customers. The food is over priced and subpar. Will drive to get food from now on.

Very disappointed. They don’t have a good selection and the prices are really high. They won’t go out of the box either if you ask for different cheese etc. Also if you order to go they will no longer mix dressing with your salad as it takes to much time, but if you eat in they will mix. I have been going there since it opened, but will now frequent somewhere else with a better variety and better service.

This place is just below my work so sometimes we go here for convenience. And then after paying, we regret our decision and say next time we’ll just go across the street to Wendy’s. So, the food is actually ok, it’s not bad… but the wait for food takes forever, and this place is not cheap!!!

Today I tried the strata — an egg casserole dish that is layered with shredded potatoes, bits of turkey and [drumroll and trumpets please] bacon bits and cheese on top. Delicious comfort food to start the day with the only salt flavor coming from the subtle bacon. Oh bacon, how I do i love thee, bacon? Let me count the ways. Perfect portion size(mine was the size of a medium cupcake) and so yummy that you will want to share with a friend. Let me know what you think, k?

Go here because the level of quality might surprise you. The cobb salad was astounding($ 8?). The ingredients tasted like they were fresh picked this morning. I am from a rural community and I have never had a juicy avocado where it busts with water on each bite. The real treat in this order was ciabatta bread slices. They were toasted perfectly with a slight rosemary olive brushed on. This was magic when pared with the coffee. I also had a black regular coffee($ 1.60). I use a Chemex with single origin locally roasted beans 3 days a week to make coffee so when I saw they had the usual coffee pumps(Decaf, French Roast, Del Mar) I was expecting day old burned coffee that resembled something more like asphalt than coffee. Wrong. I tried both of the pumps and while French Roast was pretty decent the Del Mar was best coffee I’ve ever had out of a pump like this. I am pretty sure they use Chromatic(aka Barefoot) roasted coffee beans here. Qualifications: The environment is clean with lots of natural light. There is free wifi and wall plugs along some of the walls that have the bar-like seating. The bathroom was also very clean. The staff also seemed fine. I just wished this place stayed open a little later. This places is doing it right.

WONDERFULFOOD! WONDERFULPEOPLE! The tuna melt is juicy and has tiny apple chunks in it. The tri-tip is addictive with the edges of the meat a little charred. Turkey poblano seems plain, then u take a bite and that flavor!!! Wow. Excellent vegetarian options. MOCHASPLEASE! Best mocha this side of the bay! Cobb salad and beet/goat cheese salad are good Anytime they have the artichoke bisque soup… I’m getting it. So sad when they run out!!! There’s more… But I will sum it up… Eat here! Be good to your taste buds!

Nice place to pick up lunch if work in the area. Good combination of sandwiches and salad. Food is always fresh and tasty. Try the reuben sandwich with the homemade Russian dressing or my favorite — the crab melt sandwhich(made with real crab!). Sandwiches come with a small cup of salad. The place is very clean and the staff is always friendly. There is outdoor seating which is popular when the weather is warm. One of best places in San Leandro for a healthy lunch during the work week.

Delicious, Delicious food! Great Atmosphere! Friendly staff. I work across the street from this Café and I eat here very often. All of my co-workers rave about this café as well. The food is made with high quality ingredients, it is obvious from the first bite to the very last. Everyone has a favorite, so I suspect all their items are delicious. I’ve personally had the Roasted Tri-Tip Sandwich and can’t recommend it enough. My day is complete when I get to have one of these for lunch!(see a photo of it, that I uploaded). The sandwich are a tad pricy, but the quality speaks for itself. If you are in a hurry, I suggest you call them and order over the phone. The wait time for a sandwich at noon is around 10 – 15 minutes. I don’t mind because I enjoy the atmosphere while I wait.

I have been coming to Creekside Bistro since its opening(about a year now) –mostly on Wednesdays. I’m kind of glad that I only spend Wednesdays in the area cause otherwise I’d spend about $ 10 for lunch everyday. Hooray for $ 1 – 2 tacos in Fruitvale on my other work days. Bottom line — everything is fresh! All salds are huge. Ask for an extra dressing cup and make it 2 meals or share it with a buddy. They come with yummy olive oil infused ciabatta type bread. Beet salad and Cobb salads are best! I keep returning back to the Turkey Poblano — the combination of a extremely fresh and soft acme roll, arugula, and that AMAZING aioli sauce — plus tomatoes, swiss and a nice heap of sliced turkey is my sandwich of choice. sandwiches come with a small side and it can range from potato salad, pasta salad, fuit, coleslaw, etc. The only soup I have ever tried is the Artichoke Bisque — And I, along with everyone else rave about it! It’s delicious. As far as their coffee/tea — its just average. Can’t say I have ever had a delicious cup, but they are good enough.
