Food is okay. I love drawing on the paper that is on top of the tablecloth. Mango pudding was good. They ran out of the egg bun thing. *insert super sad face*

The food is okay. If you’re in the mood for dim sum and don’t want to travel far, this place will do the job. That said, it can be a little salty and the place itself doesn’t have an attractive interior.

The food’s alright. The people who work here are really nice. But that’s only because I speak their language. But otherwise, they don’t really smile, or look at you when you talk to them. Sometimes, some of the plates aren’t really clean. But I like that they use pieces of paper to cover the table. Because the turn table is really greasy and gross. The worst part about this restaurant is the bathroom. The bathroom is so run down and disgusting. There’s only two stalls. And one of the stalls is super small and crowded and the door doesn’t even close. The paper towel dispenser never has paper in it. It’s like they made no effort to make the bathroom at least look decent. The bathroom is so gross

HOWRUDE! I have had some pretty interesting experiences in my restaurant journey, but never have I ever had the experience I did here. We came in for dinner. We were seated, given menus but then forgotten for a long time. Despite there only being about four other groups there, it was very loud, and cold. When we were finally attended to, while we were ordering, the waitress interrupted us mid sentence and went over to another table to take an additional order for them, took it to the kitchen, and then came back to help us. We were then interrupted again before we finally got our order in. Very little service. Our chicken fried rice had several pieces of crab shell from our neighboring table’s crab order. They must not have cleaned out the pan they were using… The rice was very bland, same for the chicken, and nothing was really memorable. I was later told that you have to go there for the lunch dim sum. I am a patient and understanding person, and I like my dim sum, so I will return to try lunch, but never dinner again. After how I was treated, I am actually on the fence about giving them another try at all.

We ordered their $ 21.99 for three entrees for take out. There was a good number of dishes to choose from and they were willing to substitute chicken instead of beef for a curry dish on the menu. The three dishes we ordered were salt and pepper pork chops, seafood tofu and curry chicken. The portions were decent and the food was tasty. It’s not easy to find good Chinese food that is authentic outside of San Francisco. I would say this place is comparable to the places in SF. I will definitely go back and try the other dishes on their 3 for $ 21.99 menu. Next time I will post pictures. We were so hungry that I forgot to take pictures.

Too bad there was no option for no star. Came here last weekend with a friend. we ordered over 10 items. After the first bite, my stomach started making weird noises, but I didn’t think anything. After 10 mins in, my stomach started to hurt. I couldn’t finish and went straight home to the restroom. Everything I ate went straight out! I thought it was only me, but later my friend told me it happened to him too. Don’t come here unless you want DIARRHEA!!!

The food was pretty good, just wished my chinese friend is with me. She ordered for us last time and it was all good. We ordered roasted duck, dimsums and beef chow fun. We ordered too much, we had 4 to go boxes but then again the serving was big. Its already late but still the restaurant was pretty full, just 2 servers though but still the service was timely. I recommend it!

I’ve never had dim sum before, so I had no expectations of what my lunch would be like. My boyfriend explained the gist to me. We ordered chicken chow mein, steamed shrimp dumplings, steamed scallop dumplings, egg yolk buns, egg custard buns, fried sesame balls, and honey pork rolls I think? They were kind of like small croissants with bbq pork inside and a honey glaze on top. It was way more food than we needed lol, so we had plenty for lunch and leftovers for dinner. I didn’t try the egg yolk buns or fried sesame balls, just because I don’t care for them. Everything else was worthy of 3 stars as an average. I liked the scallop dumplings better than the shrimp ones, but the wrappers for all of the dumplings were way too gooey. The egg custard buns were good. That and the chow mein I think I liked the best. The honey pork rolls were also okay, but not my favorite. Next time we’ll probably choose a few different items but keep a couple of the same items, too.

The food is average and it gets busy during the weekends. Need to hire more employees overall.

Place located on E14th in a strip mall between the Dollar Green(yes, green) and a Foot Spa. With a name like King Kong Dim Sum… hmmm doesn’t sound very appetizing… Brought my mom as her senior friends like to talk about dim sum places they’ve tried and lunch time is probably the best time to come. Ordered the following: * Rice porridge with clams — lots of chew clams — my mom seem to like… i passed! Dim sum items: * black bean spareribs with cubes of taro — good and not fatty * shrimp stuffed eggplant with blackbean sauce * Sui Mai(pork dumpling) * Fried Taro dumpling with ground pork — delicious Food was good and my mom seemed to like the variety of porridge options. Service was ok. nothing special and expected. Would i return? probably only with my mom and her senior friends. :)

Passable dim sum across the board with an unfortunate downgrade in ambiance with the removal of the carpet and a number of other interior changes. Feels like a Chinese BBQ joint in the city. A decent choice for anyone in the area that doesn’t feel like making a trip out to Oakland, SF, Milpitas, etc.

I got a pig here for our luau. Reasonably priced and easy to order. It’s served in a wooden box, you leave a deposit for the box and get it back when you return the box. We had to wait for it to be cut but they gave us custard buns for the inconvenience. If I ever need a 40 lb roasted pig again, I’m coming here!!!

This place tries pretty hard to please. I’ve been here for both dim sum and dinner. I enjoyed the dim sum and dinner menu also. Their prices are fair and competitive. I feel my money’s worth when I eat here. Service has been decent, staff is around and has a good amount there. Conveniently located also.

Hmm… normally I’m easily satisfied with food, but this really was a «Meh. I’ve experienced better». Not only that, I was hungover! Usually dimsum really hits the spot for me… I’m usually the one that thinks that almost all dimsum places are delicious. My friends are the picky ones. But nooo, this just didn’t cut it. Prices were decent, but the quality was just whatever. Even after adding soy sauce and hot sauce, none of the food had much flavor to it. It didn’t seem too fresh either. Seriously, how could you go wrong with pork buns? After eating them, I felt like it was a waste of calories, haha. The only thing I really enjoyed were the fried taro puffs. Service was mediocre. We ordered some noodles, but it never came. Oh well! Could we at least get some smiles? The food definitely filled me up, but did not leave me satisfied at all. I probably would not come back here.

Came here for dinner cuz it’s too hot to cook at home and wanted to eat at a comfortable restaurant. But this place was stuffy, hot, and had a funky smell. The walnut prawn had a weird seafood taste and wasn’t made properly even the walnut was stale, the sweet and sour pork was too sweet, the yang chow fried rice had a nasty old oil taste to it and the mixed tofu claypot had nothing in it but tofu. And the service sucked! My mom kept asking for extra ginger for the chicken and the waitress had a blank stare like she didn’t know what was going on and never brought it. What a disgrace! Should’ve left once we walked in.

Nothing special(not enough variety of dim sum) poor service, okay food. Porcini mushroom & beef braised noodle(not dim sum) – surprisingly pretty good, flavored well, and decently portioned. Malaysia cake(S) – not fresh as the bottom was wet, poorly done, and not worth the money. Cured meat & taro cake(S) – not bad, there’s enough taro chunks in it, and it is nicely pan fried, but it’s not held together well. Pan fried vegetable bun(M) – tasted bland and had large bits of ginger, prob better with meat. Sticky rice in lotus leaf(L) – not very good but relatively bigger portioned than other places. Shrimp rice noodle roll(L) – average, it doesn’t taste silky and smooth in the mouth like it is supposed to when it is considered done well. Scallop dumpling(L) – where the scallops at? did not see or eat any scallops. Instead there were shrimp. If you come on Mondays, all the dim sum plates are $ 2.68(usually(S) is $ 2.48,(M) $ 2.98,(L) $ 3.48)). Overall food was pretty average but the special pricing made it worth trying.

Location: Small plaza off east 14th, parking available. Customer Service: We were the second ones there service was slow. Décor: Just like any chinese restaurant you would go to in Chinatown. Not too much décor, TVs on the wall, chinese calendars, etc lol Presentation of Food: Dim sum style. How did the food taste?: Eh. Overall Experience: It was just irritating that we ere the second ones in the restaurant and it was slow service. more workers didnt start showing up until later until the restaurant started to get packed, as if they knew when it was going to be packed so thats when they decided to show up for work. Would I Come Back?: NO, i rather go to the other dim sum place in SL its called oriental tea or go all the way to oakland.

I definitely liked it better when it was Prince. The dim sum here is no longer as good and kind of pricey for the quality. I can probably get the same quality dim sum for less in Chinatown. Since it became King Kong, the restaurant now has and serves roast pork! This is actually made in the restaurant so it’s pretty fresh! The service is similar to any other Asian restaurant. There’s a lot of Chinese speaking ladies that know very little English. That wasn’t a big problem for me though since I know Chinese.
