Excellent fresh Mexican food. My husband and I eat here at least once a week. Prices are good and great service.

Great customer service, great food, clean, and fast! I really appreciate how friendly all their staff is to me. I go there so often they know me by my name! I would choose La salsa over chipotle any day!

I will say the food is tasty at La Salsa but the service stinks. Many people work in the area and patronize this place on their lunch break. It is unorganized and the behind the counter staff is very rude. It takes 20 – 30 minutes to get your food which leaves little time to eat it. The last time I was there they had a huge delivery order which seemed to be their priority over customers that were there. They do have one really nice guy that try’s to walk the floor and reassure the angry customers. If you have nothing but time the food is good but if you are on a limited break I wouldn’t recommend it.

First of all the food is delicious. Secondly, Oscar and Anita are very welcoming and have always taken good care of me. It’s in a convenient location and I’m very thankful to have La Salsa close by as a go to spot. By the way did I mention the food is delicious!

This is my go to source for food in this area of San Leandro. The staff is great. The food is great and consistent and it always has a crowd(that’s a good thing in a restaurant).

One of my favorite Mexican food places to visit in the area. One of the very few locations that is still in business the cooking staff have been around for years and the food only gets better. I love their fish and shrimp tacos hands down the best from what they have to offer. I love the recent installment of TV with the option of beer. The service here is outstanding speak with Oscar(Restaurant Manager) he will make sure you are taken care of. Above all the Salsa bar is the best. if you’re in the area are still deciding where you want to go and spend over 30 minutes figuring out where to go… stop La Salsa you can never go wrong with Mexican food.

My favorite place to eat after work. Always a friendly face greeting me. The food is always delicious and service is quick and efficient. My favorite dish is the Enchilada platter, but everything I’ve had has been good.

Went there today for my first time and the cashier named Belkis was the kindest most helpful person I’ve seen in a long time. The food was great as well as the service and I would go back for a second time.

Nice to grab a fast and healthy lunch and very conveniently located in the marina square. They are always very busy during lunch hours but they get your food out quickly.

As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by a courteous and friendly cashier Belkis. She was prompt and took my order. She also offered some personal favorites when I asked her for advice. The food took a few mins but it was worth the wait. I could see«Jesus» the cook making miracles on the grill. He cooked my asada(skirt steak) and shrimp on the grill. I also asked if he could add some fresh japaleños in the mix and he agreed with a smile. The food was brought to my table and the presentation as well as the portions were on point. Mad props to the design team. While I was eating Belkis was busy cleaning and keeping the finning room tidy and well stocked all while simultaneous greeting every single guest almost instantly. I’ve been cooking since I was 8. And real authentic from scratch cooking and I have to say I was very impressed with the flavor here. Salsas also plentiful with a wide selection. In all honesty I dove into the food and by the time I remembered to take a pic it was all gone… So now I’ll show the remains. Great place though definitely recommend if your in the area. I’ll be coming back with my wife and some friends. My daughter also really enjoyed the good. Great job La Salsa team!!!

My carnita and carne asada tacos were really bland. The salsa tasted like JAR salsa not fresh and the quesadillas blaaa. The nachos tasted like enchilada sauce over chips? Will not go back not even the horchata was good. The only star it gets is for the mango salsa.

I put in an order for delivery via Eat24. The order was accepted, and I didn’t hear anything until over an hour later when I got a call saying the order was cancelled because they don’t have drivers. Thanks for nothing. Unreliable and unprofessional.

We patronized this restaurant during a visit to San Leandro in March 2015. After driving to the Bay area from the valley we decided to stop for lunch. We spotted a Mexican restaurant(La Salsa) that appear to look attractive, in a shopping center. It had a nice-looking store front and a clean-looking environment; until we made a purchase. The enchilada we had was so-so, and not authentically Mexican. We later discovered what they charged us was incorrect when we went home. We called the restaurant and mentioned about the overcharge, and no one appear to know what we were talking about. We subsequently contacted the La Salsa franchise main office and explained to them the problem and would like a refund on the overcharge. The CEO claimed that some stores are doing price changes and may not have changed some of the menu boards. He apologized and told us that he will send us a $ 10. gift card, and urged us to give another chance and try them again when we were back in town, or visit another location. We accepted and kept the give card they sent us, until we were headed that way again. Today, we were heading that way and thought about our meal plans. We remembered the $ 10. gift card and decided to call La Salsa in San Leandro, prior to going and patronize them again. We looked at the back of the card and discovered that it was expired. That was a surprise. Why would someone give you a gift card that will expire in a few months; especially if it was for compensating us for an overcharge in the first place? We decided to give La Salsa a call and inquire about this. A clerk, Alexa, answered and appeared to sound very pleasant. We explained the situation to her and she came back and told us that her manager(Oscar Orta) will not accept an expired gift card. I re-explained to her that we were a customer coming from out of town, coming back to re-patronize their restaurant upon the request of their CEO. Alexa went back to ask her boss, Oscar Orta, again, and she came back with the same answer. So much for great, or rather, POOR customer service. Though Alexa appear to be pleasant, she should be working for another business. Her boss, Oscar Orta, is an incompetent business person. As a former restaurateur myself, that would be the last thing you want to do is say no to a customer; particularly one who is coming back again to give the business a second try. We feel sad for the CEO of La Salsa, who spend so much money and time to market their brand, just to have an incompetent store manager(Oscar Orta) chase away customers. If you are hungry for good Mexican food and seeking for great service, this is not a welcoming restaurant to patronize. At the store level, they do not value customers, and is simply a poor business operation that do not adhere to good standard business practices. There is definitely a lack of tact, and professional training at this restaurant. Poor management will subsequently affect the future success of this restaurant unless CEO at their headquarters, do a complete revamp of this restaurant’s business operations.
If you wish to patronize this restaurant, do so at your own risk. I have read many of the other reviews and so many of the reviews addressed the negative issues so accurately. Mr. CEO, you need to fix this restaurant and come up with new management who knows how to attract and retain customers.

At here for lunch yesterday. First the good things. Pretty quick service, friendly staff, nice prices and an excellent selection of salsas. The bad, it just a step up from fast food quality. I got the cheese enchiladas which were ok. Better with the salsa I put on them. The dont give you very much chips, would like a bigger serving.
