Magic Nails

I absolutely love the nail techs. Lee and Ann do such an amazing job every time I go there. They both have really good attitudes and really interact with their customers.

I begin coming to this salon about a year and a half ago. Its not in the best area but the all the ladies here are pleasant. Im particular about everything but all the ladies here make sure i always leave here satified. Lee does my full sets and fill ins. Ann does my pedis. Karen does my brows. Great team effort. Thanks!

Place is clean. I didn’t have to wait.
Did my nails perfectly not to thin where they come up around ur cuticle or to thick were they hurt.
I am simple tho not into all the fancy art work other places do. So this place is perfect for me. And lee does a great job

I only go here for eyebrows, but the lady is the best! Quick and inexpensive. I always get compliments on my brows!

So im writing this as the gal is doin a pedi. So sad all my places are booked should of made an appt elsewhere. Place is not well kept. (Looks ghetto) they rush through everything and used lotion as they were sanding my feet down. felt like a lazy job. i should have asked if theyre stuff was sterilized… pedi turned out ok for 18 bucks not bad. Idk if ill be back.

HORRIBLE nail place. Very unkempt inside and the woman that did my nails had no idea what she was doing.
I don’t know her name but she obviously wasn’t the main nail lady. I asked for shellac and the color choices were already scarce. I chose a pinkish color and the woman did not know how to apply the shellac. She was putting multiple layers on and the color was not coming out smooth. I asked her to remove it because it looked horrible. Don’t go here!

Lee is the best. I started going there a while back when I moved into the area 2004. Moved away tried a couple of places couldn’t do it. Now I drive from richmond every two weeks for my favorite pass time. Eyebrows feet and nails. Karen Lee and Ann the best in the business. Just don’t get the fake lashes. Love the place and I always get compliments on my nails! Men and women.

I love this place, been coming here for over 10 years, the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the place is a little run down compared to others I’ve been to but they always get me in and out and nobody does eyebrows like they do.

As mentioned in another review, I too have been going here (off & on) back when they were Cali Nails. Li and Dan ran the place and now Li and the girls take care of the business.
I have always been treated well and today am reviewing «Karen» and her skills in the spa room. I first tried a facial with Karen over 5 years ago. It was GREAT! She even massaged my hands and put mitts on them as she performed the facial.
Later, I decided to get a Brazilian Wax and full leg. I had been going to an over priced high end spa in Berkeley, but for the price & products my skin should not have felt so irritated after each wax? Karen’s technique was quick and precise with minimum pain. Her rates were far below the Berkeley spa as well.
In my opinion, she does a better job than the high-​end spa. This past Saturday, I was back for a extended bikini and half leg. It had been a couple or three years, but I was hoping Karen was still waxing. She was. She is friendly and makes you feel comfortable.
Again, it had been a while since my last visit. Not only did she do the extended bikini wax and half leg, she continued to do my whole leg. She even waxed the hair off my toes! I know probably TMI, but she didn’t miss anything, nor did she charge for the extra care or should I say «hair» ~ LOL!
I gave her the balance of what the Berkeley $pa would have charged as a tip. She certainly earned it. Love the smooth, baby bottom look and feel for the Summer :-)

I have been coming to Magic Nails since the Cali Nail days, where Dan (Li’s Husband) did my nails. They are awesome.
Also if you need waxing, go see Karen, wouldn’t let anyone else touch my brows!

Terrible service, terrible attitudes, most terrible individual EYELASH application New to strip lashes and not having the greatest success keeping up with them I decided to go in and get some along with some waxing. I remembered it does take some time to get used to wearing fake eyelashes applied in this manner. Right after the woman did my lashes my boyfriend noticed a loose individual lash hanging off the right eyelashes. She fixed that and I noticed the left eye really was kind of hurting but there was a lot of glue do I thought once I got used to it I would be okay. NOT! By the 4^th day my left eye was sore, red and I noticed there was a weird gap in the lash line. The eyebrow lady is only there Th thru Sun so I had to wait until the next week. Me eye was hurting SO badly from excess glue and bad placement and application that I had to soak and soak a cotton ball in eye makeup remover to get those lashes off the left eye. Mind you now walking around looking glamorous on the right eyelash and as if I had pink eye in the left! Returned when she was finally back at work to get the right eyelashes removed. I asked her to remove them and at least give me ½ my money back. I was told they didn’t refund money and she didn’t remove eyelashes. She gave me two cotton pads soaked with supposed eyelash remover and sent me on my way. This eyelash is still on and I’m still trying to get it off! I’ll upload a pic of how it looks. PASS THIS PLACE BY like I wish I would have. She also rips the wax strip off your face like she’s gathering facial skin samples and enjoys causing. You pain! Terrible experience overall!

The place can sometimes be a little crowded, but overall they get to their cusomers needs. I never really get my nails done I usually go just for my eyebrows. The lady who does them is extreamly nice and will take her time to make sure she has them the way you want them.

They do an ok job, I like the spa chairs. They are freindly and can do a french pedicure. Leg massage was pretty good.
