Took my Yorkie to get groomed and NEVER AGAIN!!! Her hair was about 4 inches and I wanted her leg hair a little longer because small dogs like her get cold. They said her hair was matted and shaved it all the way down to 3 mm… BALD!!! I am a barber and if I get a child in my chair that has tangles I’m not going to shave it all off because I’m too lazy to comb the tangles out, if anything I will charge more. There was only one person there that seemed to belong working there and that was the young pretty black girl, the rest of the employees didn’t seem to have any customer service skills whatsoever. So now my poor dog will freeze! Thanks a lot Pet Smart Grooming Department, I will find somewhere where the employees have patience, our dogs are our family and you should know that! As far as the store itself I do like to shop there for my pets.

Service is ehh. Their attitude is care less and not as welcoming and warming as I’d hope.

I am so livid right now. I went in asked for a trim and the face a puppy cut. His coat was at least 8 inches long. I go pick him up and I get back a bald dog! BALD. I AM PISSED BEYOND. They were rude, arrogant and non accommodating. They squeeze to many grooming tables together. Judging from the look, attitude and actions of the staff I really don’t think any of them are «certified» groomers. I see no certificates anywhere as I have in other groomers. Don’t come here I have watched, while waiting, the treatment of some of the dogs. Bad bad place to go.

I come here quite a bit as my nephew loves to look around at the animals. I normally buy crickets or bird food as they selection of bird food. I have bought some fish they tend to be pretty healthy. Occasionally they do have new fish pop up. I bought 3 fire belly frogs from them as well.
I bought my parakeet from them and she is very sweet never bites (maybe I’m lucky). It did take her a bit to relearn how to fly better once she got comfortable with her new home. (Huge aviary)
Staff here are very nice and will try to help you the best they can. Always greet you with a smile so thank you everyone for the amazing service I have had while coming here.

Walked in this morning October 1^st 9 o’clock a.m. what is looking for some household flea spray it was a young lady came up and asked me if I needed help to accommodate a new baby in a very professional manner very nice and kind very helpful I’ve been shopping at this PetSmart for long. Time if for some reason looks like things have changed to the better management team at Bayfair hope you recognize the employees at you have the whole seem to do their job very well just a little pat on the back goes a long ways good job highly recommended PetSmart store thank you keep it up

Staff is always willing to help, which is important as hell to me. Like even if you’re not sure where to find scratch resistant pet tape for my doors, or what the difference between two types of anxiety pheromones sprays are, if you’re willing to try and help find the answer out, and go the extra to make sure my questions are answered, I appreciate that yo.
Store is well kept up, come here when my kiddos need a new toy, collar, etc. Have never purchased their kibbles from here before though, mainly because they are pigs who eat like disposals and I am obligated to buy from another place with more competitive pricing. For anything else, Petsmart is my go to place! Costumes, dog treats, dog chews and more.
I can always find something cool or unique here, like the Bret Michaels Christmas collar with little bells on it; my dog had other pups eating their freaking hearts out when she wore that.

Grooming department.
I would just like to say Coco and I had a very pleasant visit this morning .
She was groomed before somewhere else must have been a very bad experience for her because all the rest of the day and night she peed on herself and would not eat.
So after that traumatic experience my daughter and I took turns giving her haircut for like 8 months. Really wasn’t working out so I decided to call Petsmart and make an appointment had anxiety for a dropped her off told the technician Rebecca that Coco was a little nippy and nervous and explained her past experience she informed me that she would try to get her done within 2 hours so wouldn’t be so traumatic for her. Also waiting at home waiting for the call all nervous exactly two hours she called and said she’s ready pick her up and Rebecca told me that she was a little nippy at first but calm down and accepted the grooming it said she was a sweetheart Coco looks great Rebecca did a wonderful job Thank You Petsmart thank you Rebecca

I have been going to petsmart for over 4 years now. But recently I tried to make an appointment for my dog. The lady on the phone says we have an appointment for this coming Sunday ok that’s fine I will take it. So she says I need to place you on hold. She comes back to the phone and says we have to cancel this appointment because your dog had a issue once before. I told her I would like to speak with the manger. She say’s I am the manger. I explained to her that my dog has been coming there for several years now and he has only had one problem with one of the groomers it was properly there fault away. So she says that I should make another appointment with a different petsmart. May I add she been there for 2weeks now. So Thanks to your New Manger I will take my dog some where Else. Plus the hair cuts weren’t all that’s anyway.

I hate the fact that pets are actually sold here. I have never been more sad in my life to look at birds and hamster in dirty cages. I tried to find someone to let me hold either a bird or a hamster, and couldn’t get the time of day. No one on the floor, in this huge store, and the only person I could find was at the cash register, and their was a line of people, so I didn’t even bother. I looked at the fish and most had clean tanks and looked feed, but the Beta fish, fin rot and dirty cups. I am so glad that the cats are being taken care of by a rescue group and not by the teenager picking their noses at the front. I used to come here all the time, because they did have good service and kept their animal healthy and handled them, but not anymore; I can’t look at the sadness.

I am currently being helped by a veronica a young long hair pale woman who seems to be having a bad day and taking it out on the customers. Absolutely I displeased. I usually come by and have great customer service but she has managed to change my perspective on this location.

The staff was not helpful nor knowledable about their own policies. I went in to return a product, one person said the packaging is needed, I told them that Fremont did my return no problem, they said «we are strict here»
Manager came by and asked when I bought it, she was willing to return it but I needed the physical card, which I lost during a trip, she said she needed the card. So had to walk away but after reading the fine print on my online order receipt, I should of been offered a store credit card.
I write this because customer service folks are supposed to help not make it more inconvenient, I would of happily taken the store credit my dog needs food next month. So back to fremont petsmart where the folks there are willing to help.

Before I tell you about the grooming experience I had, I have to tell you how hard it was to schedule an appointment. I called PetSmart and was placed on hold 3 times for so long that the call went back to the front desk. Once I finally got someone on the line from the grooming department, I was placed on hold again while the employee complained about how slow the new system was.
I made an appointment for the following week on a Tuesday since this was the earliest appointment available. So, Tuesday rolls around and I take Nefii to PetSmart at 3pm, they said it would be about 4 hours. I thought that was a little long, but it was fine. I called PetSmart at 7:30 because I still had not received a call.
Me and my husband decided to head up there to see what the hold up was with our doggie. When we got there we had to wait 15 mins to tell them who our dog was. They brought her out her toenails weren’t clipped, and the groomer had written they were too short to cut! Bullshit! I asked the other groomer her opinion and she said they could be cut down a lot so she took her back and grind her nails for us. I wasn’t super impressed with the cut, but the groomer who performed it wasn’t there, and the other two ladies seemed to be really backed up.
Fast forward to this Thursday, I take my dog to the Vet only to find out she had an ear infection and her ears haven’t been cleaned. My vet said the groomer should have given us a heads up about that. I went back to PetSmart and showed them the Dr. note and the Manager Michael was really understanding. He offered us a refund, and apologized. I don’t recommend this store to anyone, the staff is very friendly, but they’re overworked and under pressure and I don’t want anyone like that cutting and rushing my dog.

Nice staff, loads of product (actually more than Petco), convenient location. My only con right now is about missing items from a small tank I purchased. Several key parts were missing and it was supposedly sealed. I returned to the store and had to wait 30 minutes for the cashier to find either the missing parts and/​or a new tank. I will purchase food & accessories there, but I will not purchase big ticket items.

This review is for the grooming, I absolutely love how Crystal in particular grooms my dog, I have an American Eskimo who is afraid of people and usually expresses it by acting aggressive despite this, Crystal has managed to look past that and always grooms him leaving him spotless and cutting his fur just how I like it. She is seriously the only person that I trust as I have taken him to other locations and they have left his hair all choppy and with no type of sign that he even got groomed. Crystal thank you so much! And I highly recommend her as she is very sweet and patient with my dog. :)

This was the first store my boyfriend & I stopped at when we first got our Pitbull puppy a few months ago, who was 2 months old at the time. We had no idea where to start and what to buy. One girl helped us a lot and told us a list of things that were necessary to purchase:
–puppy pads
–teething toy
–crate/​cage
–puppy toothbrush set
–puppy chow
Another girl came over to help us with the crate/​cage. She claimed to be very knowledgable and was really talkative so that made it even more convincing. My boyfriend & I were looking at the smaller crates which were about $ 40-​$ 70. She kept telling us to buy a larger one (the largest one they had) since we have a puppy that will grow to be fairly large when fully grown. She claimed that this crate/​cage would last us a really long time and would be big enough down the line. She convinced us after awhile, and we paid somewhere between $ 100-​$ 120 for it.
A little less than 2 months later, our puppy is now 4 months old and growing faster than no other. He has a hard time sitting in this cage/​crate and he is nowhere near full grown. I don’t know what king of large dog she was talking about, but I can’t imagine any dog larger than a puppy being able to physically get in and out of it with no problem.
Wish we would have bought the smaller one and been told to look elsewhere for larger cages.

I come here every so often when I need something quick like a heat lamp or crickets, anything bigger is totally out of the question just because of pricing, $$$$$.
There only ever seems to be two employees working so if you have questions, good luck! And while I appreciate their large selections of tanks I wish they had more inventory for the reptiles. Dog and cat gear overrun this place…
I also hate that the Beta fish are always dead. My sister had one she didn’t feed for the better half of a year and he’s still kickin’; what could they possibly be doing to them?
Nothing amazing here and I absolutely can’t stand the parking lot. I’ll stick to buying online for my babies.

Hi I took my dog there to take a picture with santa. When I arrived there wasn’t a Santa just a back drop the lady took the picture but it was difficult and the picture came out fake like something we could have done at home. I think you need to advertised what this Santa picture intails before you go down there.

We have a new addition to our family! Petsmart is a good place to start for natural options for your puppy/​dog. I love the ability to order and pay online and just show up for the pick-​up. It only takes you 5 minutes or so. The staff is very knowledgeable and well-​informed.
There’s a huge area for puppy classes and other classes offered. $ 119 for 6 classes if I recall correctly. There are some prerequisites such as age and vaccination, etc. This location also had a pet hospital and grooming service. There’s an area for cat adoptions. On Fridays, there’s a dog or two for adoption. The store cannot be more full service than that!

I had an interesting experience at this Petsmart, Yesterday I went with my brother, aunt and cousin to purchase a hamster. Im over 18, but I asked her if she could take me to pick up more bedding for my hamsters I adopted about a month ago.
Anyways I fell in love while looking at the hamsters with a long haired syran hamster and after getting permission from my mom (on the phone) My cousin who was with us went to track down someone while my aunt asked a cashier if we could have help at the hamster Isle. A lady came and went to get someone else who was in charge of the small animals
So while I was waiting for 10 – 15 minutes, Yeah I know it felt like hours… I grabbed a shopping cart and put a 23lb bedding of care fresh in the cart along with some hamster chews and treats.
So finally these 2 teenage girl workers came and asked me which hamster I wanted, everything was fine until I picked a fluffy longhaired hamster and signed the paperwork. When they were putting the hamster in the box, They didn’t know how to do it
Luckily another worker helping another customer with guinea pigs, Yeah the lady was really sharp, and did the box for the other girls. So then I got the hamster, While I waited for my hamster, I walked around and look at their other animals, they had tons of fish including goldfish, reptiles, mice, rats, guinea pigs and a chinchilla. Parakeets, finches and canaries as well as other types of birds too. Oh yeah and when I checked out and bought 4 items, a bag of treats, bag o chews, Carefresh bedding and my longhaired hamster the first lady who wandered out, came back and apologized for not helping me in the first place
I do recommend this place for hamsters as it does seem in my case the hamsters are handled frequently Also they sell male hamsters, apparently all petsmarts now don’t want to risk getting a female hamster pregnant so they just sell male hamsters now.

My dog is very well taken care of and I only want the best for him! I started out coming to the groomer here off of convenience and was ehh about the service and the hair cuts. I felt that because of his hair style they were trying to make money off me saying he had more than normal knots. They would take all day to groom him and I wasn’t really pleased. I looked around for other groomers but I was in desperate need of a haircut for my pooch asap so I decided to give petsmart another try.
Our groomer, Jennifer is amazing! I feel at ease knowing my pup is with her. She took the time to listen to what we wanted done and explained to us what she had to do to him. Also when we came to pick him up she went out into the store and told us what products to use to help maintain his hair. We’ve been coming to Jennifer for about 4 months now and the at-​home upkeep of my dogs hair is manageable. I don’t know what she does differently but she has been a life saver! I never feel like she is out to charge us more or sell us more expensive packages and I feel that she is passionate about her work and the animals she grooms. I will only come back if Jennifer is working!
We’ve also done puppy training here and Ariel is great! She is really caring about the dogs and very helpful with any questions!
All of the staff at this store are friendly and will go out of their way to help you out.
