Not sure what cuisine this is but certainly not authentic healthy Chinese, far too much oil used so very greasy. The soup was just hot water and vegetable/wontons, no seasoning, or hadn’t been cooked together as soup should I believe. I think the people were Cantonese by their accent, Cantonese usually use a lot of steam in their cooking? As a keen cook myself and having lived in China for a number of years and tasted many different cuisines from North to South to Hong Kong this is basically your unhealthy fast food Chinese for the US market, maybe I got them at a bad time, we all have bad days at work but it wasn’t good, don’t judge Chinese food by this standard.

Zero stars for customer service. I felt like a prisoner because they wouldn’t address that they served my mother pork when she ordered chicken. They then avoided us the rest of the meal. Food was less than decent, they forgot my iced tea and were generally rude the whole meal. Avoid this place

If I’m in need of a quick place to order Chinese(which i guess is most places, right?), I usually call here. Your order is ready in 10mins to go. I usually get the honey walnut prawns and chow mein. Sizzing beef is OK — overrated in my opinion.

3 ½ stars. This place is clean and the staff are pretty friendly. We ate here yesterday on our way home from Anaheim, and the place was not busy, so we were seated quickly. We ordered quite a bit of food, and it came out fast and hot! The westlake beef soup, honey walnut prawns, salt and pepper pork chop and salted fish, panfried noodles and chicken fried rice are my favorites here. I’m comparing this to other chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at, and to me, it just doesn’t quite match up, so I give it the 3 ½ stars, but really, this place is pretty good. Try it!

Best Chinese food in the east bay, Great selection of all my favorites. Well worth driving to this restaurant form neighboring cities, good quality and it’s great for takeout.

I enjoyed the food from here. ordered takeout 2 different times… and the food was really good each time. I ordered the same thing each time, so I can say how things are… on a larger scale. but my experience has been good.

Horrible customer service. I was gonna order food for dinner last Friday. I didn’t have the menu with me, so I didn’t know which dish was in the special menu. When I asked her if the dish i wanted was a special item, she basically yelled at me for not knowing their menu. Wtf! I ended up order from another place. Give yourself a break and order from somewhere else! That woman who picked up the phone was unbelievably rude that you don’t want to talk to.

Horrible customer service. Went here for lunch with 2 coworkers, we got here right before the lunch rush. Took forever to get drinks, and the attitude of the servers was very brash, like we were doing them a service. My coworker ordered a dishes extra spicy and it came out extra salty. It’s like they knew because after his first bite and making a face, they said its salty right? Would not come back.

We came here during lunch on a Friday since we were looking for a place in the plaza and happened to stumble upon this place. Co workers have been here before and said the food was decent, so we just settled with this place. The menu was a bit confusing in my opinion because when I told her I wanted the«Combo» which I clearly pointed at it on the menu. The waitress insisted on confusing me even more, like questioning me if I am sure if that’s what I want. She skipped me, and moved on to my co-workers. I thought that was rude because I clearly pointed and stated what I wanted to eat. I’d have to say the arrangement and quality of the food was good for Chinese cuisine. The portions were decent for the price that I paid. As we were leaving, finishing up packing our food, and already signed our names/paid. The waitress ran towards my co worker and suggested she MUST leave at least one dollar tip. She said it was ‘mandatory’ to leave at least one dollar if you’re dining in and if it was a to go order it would be optional. I honestly have never heard of this rule before. Having someone force you to leave a tip was just ridiculous. Of course, I left my share. It gets even better, as we were leaving I heard one of the waitress talk in Chinese saying how we occupied a big table and only left«x amount of tip.» I expect it from a Chinese restaurant, but at least wait till we leave or something. I don’t think this place even deserve one star… the food maybe but otherwise, nope. I would not recommend this place to anyone who’s hoping to have good service. Also, I’ve never had someone chase us out and force to leave a tip because they chose not to.

One of the worst experiences I ever had. Came here on Wednesday during lunch time since me and the gf were craving asian food in the area. Walking in the place was pretty dead for lunchtime, which was pretty much a warning sign we chose to ignore. I ended up ordering the roast duck noodle soup and my gf got a prawns dish with a side of chow mein(which costed extra). As we patiently waited for our food, we saw 4 tables get served before us. I even asked twice where our food was, and they kept insisting it was coming out soon. I honestly feel they just forgot about us. After 30 minutes of waiting, my dish came out and another 10 minutes later my gf’s dish. The food itself was pretty bland and portions were tiny(it didn’t fill me or my gf up and she eats very litte). Maybe because there’s a dearth of asian restaurants in the area, but this does not taste remotely asian in any sense. They don’t even have chop sticks until you ask. If you gave this to me without telling me where you got it, I would think it was Panda Express on a bad day Top it all off, I got one of the worst food poisonings I ever had in my life. I almost never write a 1-star review, let alone 2-stars, but this place is utterly disgusting. Do not even consider going here.

Chinese cuisine is a family default for us given that our kids love to eat anything with rice and soup. We thought of trying this place out. While all the other dining establishments in the area were empty or half empty, the Imperial Court was packed. We decided to have early Sunday night dinner at this place. We were quickly seated given that we were at the restaurant early. The servers were very friendly and attentive to our needs. They brought us plastic utensils for our two toddlers and styro cups with lids for the kids’ drinks. The only concern I had was I the time it took for our food to get served. Or maybe I just got impatient because our kids were making a lot of noise and already spilled their water and dropped their utensils on the floor within the first 15mins of waiting. We had the following dishes: — Imperial Court Fried rice — very tasty and I was impressed with the generous amount of chicken and beef in the dish. — Crab and fish maw soup — nothing special, but it tasted good. — Beef stew clay pot — I came with a generous serving of tofu and vegetables compared to the meat. But it tasted very good and the Beef and tendons were a delight to our taste buds. — Steamed Black Bass — the fish was fresh and was complimented with a sweet and salty tasting sauce. The only thing I would change next time is to order a saltwater fish instead of a fresh water one. The meat tasted bland. They were out of Seabass, so we settled with the Black Bass. I would consider coming back to this place to try out their other dishes.

It’s pretty tasty and at very reasonable prices. Their 3 items family combo is a steal. However, It is a little bit too salty and greasy. I guess I will ask them to reduce salt and oil in my dishes next time. Otherwise, they are great Chinese to go restaurant.

Yes this is good priced Chinese food that tastes good. The issue I have is they know it. They are pretty much crowded most of the time(weekday lunch crowd and dinner) and have takeout diners. This means they know they can set their own rules and it doesn’t matter if they were rude or inattentive to you. They may sit a one person diner on a 4 seated table than refuse to sit 2 people on a 4 seated table because now they got crowded and want to seat the 4 people who came in behind you on that table then make you wait. And this will happen right in your face and if you speak-up they don’t apologize just stare at you. We eat there and still do because of convenience but we are aware that we will be served just not well.

It’s your standard local Chinese spot. All the employees are Chinese, and all the waitresses(haven’t seen a male server yet) speak Chinese and English, if a little brokenly. On weekdays business is slow and most traffic is from people getting take-out, but on the weekends this place gets pretty busy. Having frequented this restaurant for the last nine years, I’ve seen it through much of its growth and redecoration. It’s clear business has been good, and they managed to keep a steady stream of customers even with price increases and some portion decreases. The taste has stayed largely consistent and seems to appeal to native Chinese family members/friends, which is always a good sign. I’ve never been for lunch, but the dinner special is you can get(most) 3 normal dishes for $ 8.25 each. Our regular choices are the Salt and Pepper Fish(like fried fish filets), Braised House Tofu, and the Black Pepper Sizzling Beef(the black plate sizzles as it arrives — you’ll be the envy of every table). I’m also a fan of the Pork and Eggplant, Green Beans or Pea Shoots with Garlic Sauce, and Honey Walnut Prawns, although the first one can get pretty oily. Basically, they have all the expected classics of an American Chinese restaurant. I personally don’t like the Americanized menu items(anything with«Sweet and Sour» or «Lemon/Orange» in it) nor the Clay Pot dishes. Soups are pretty solid. Things tend to get a little tight during the weekends, so watch out for little kids running between chairs on your way to the bathroom, located in the alleyway in the back. It’s across from the kitchen if you want to take a peek inside… The bathroom has improved over the years as well, now being brightly lit and clean with a nice big mirror to check for saucy food stains. Fortune cookies are a given at the end, but I’m also used to receiving complimentary hot dessert soups after dinner. This is one of my favorite parts of the meal, even when I forget to leave room for it at the end. Anyways, your receipt will have a 10% off coupon on your next visit — a little extra incentive to return.

I’d give them 3.5 stars. My favorite is their bok choy with fish. It was garlic bok choy and that clear brothy gravy type sauce. It wasn’t too salty. I felt like all their other dishes were too salty for me. Next time I would opt for steamed rice to help counteract all the saltyness. I do like the inside feel. Nice décor feels homey yet like a nice well taken care of restaurant. Not the biggest inside but they had two big tables to accommodate our party of 9 and another big party. The other tables accommodate smaller party sizes. Two TV screens with slide shows of their dishes. Photos make each dish look delicious. Order from the Chinese written menu if you can. Fortune for us my mom reads and speaks Chinese. The prices on that menu are $ 8 so we got 9 dishes for $ 88. What a great deal. Plus we got fortune cookies and red bean dessert at the end. Service was fine our server was attentive and they cleared empty dishes from the table when we were done.

Imperial Delight has gradually displaced Three Brothers as my go-to Chinese place for dinner, for both me and the wife or for larger family dinners. We normally like to order from the Chinese menu, which has $ 9 per entrée or so. Tonight we had a late dinner and ordered the following — all were pretty decent: Three Mushrooms Chicken: One of my favorites — different textures and shapes of sauteed mushrooms with thinly-sliced juicy chicken meat. This time they used less sauce which is how I like it. Soup Greens with ham: Not sure how else to describe it, other then greens with a bit more flavor from the broth and smoky ham pieces. Seafood Tofu Clay Pot: Another light dish — tasty fish, shrimp, squid, and even more veggies and tofu. I liked the clean flavors here — the use of less sauce was appropriate. Why only four stars? The restaurant was really busy and we were’t too pleased with the waitress giving us attitude about the(usual) free red bean dessert soup. Its okay to tell us its no longer offered. However, saying they’re too busy to make it or that its not available since the restaurant is busy doesn’t seem to make sense. Still, four stars and Imperial is still one of our local favorites in terms of value.

Was over at Richards craft store for their holiday faire when I decided to check this place out. This restaurant is located to the left. There was a togo menu at their door. After checking it out, I walked in to place an order. The place was well-kept, clean-looking, and fairly busy for a 1:30pm on a Saturday. I noticed quite a lot of Asian folks dining there(good sign for a Chinese restaurant!) I ordered their Imperial(combo) fried rice togo. The receipt included a coupon for 88c off my next purchase Monday — Thursday. I checked back 15 minutes later and my rice was ready. I asked for two small styrofoam bowls so my kids could eat it. The togo box was packed! As I scooped the rice out for the kids, I couldn’t help but notice how little«stuff» was in the rice. There were only a few pieces of beef, a couple tiny thin strips of chicken, and a few shrimp. Unfortunately, the rice lacked flavor. The service was friendly. I will come back to try their prawns and eggplant dish and perhaps a noodle dish.
