The beef and string beans is defintely one of my favorites now! So flavorful and it has a good ratio of vegetables to meat. I keep coming back for more!

Had the Kung Pao chicken for lunch. Very good with large pieces of breast meat and just the right level of «hot.» Nice sized portion and nice, friendly & efficient service. BBQ pork fried rice was some of the best that I’ve had… highly recommend.

had the salt & pepper fish with chow mein lunch special. friend had the peking spareribs with rice. both weren’t bad. fish was fairly fresh. prices were on the average side. lots of parking. nothing to complain about. giving it a cautious 4 stars. will be back to try more things.

Plusses: + Plenty of seating, and a few tables for parties of 8+ + Really extensive menu with a wide variety of Canto and other Chinese cuisines + Menu includes lunch specials, pre fixe, pick 3-or-more value sets, and a la carte Other thoughts: — Fish dishes were very salty — The prices are a little higher than I’m used to seeing…

Worse Service ever!!! I speak Cantonese, as do the employees, and they still didn’t get my order right. Why do they have a Numbered Menu and their Computer Software is not Numbered??? They ignored me and took forever to just take my order. The food is NOTHING to be excited about. I’ll go back to Golden Sand Harbor!!!

Let me first say — I used to be a regular customer at this restaurant — My wife and I ate here at least once a week and we always enjoyed the food and service. During our last visit, we picked-up a Take Out Order. Today, I looked at my CC statement and found out that they added a tip for themselves on the receipt after we left(they overcharged my credit card). This is completely unethical and I have filed a dispute with my CC company. I caution all other patrons of this restaurant to carefully check their credit card receipts/statements after dining here.

Amazing place! I have been to quite a few restaurants and this one is by far the best I have ever been to for Chinese food. The food tastes amazing no matter what you get(we have tried sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, hot and sour soup, bbq pork soup, and a hot fish dish). Everything came out perfect. The staff is really nice too! They actually had conversations with us and asked if we liked the food. Reasonably priced too! Especially the lunch specials. 5⁄5 will not go to another Chinese place.

Love this place! Stopped by here for lunch one day and it was absolutely adorable. It reminded me of the Chinese restaurants my parents would take me to for dim sum when I was a kid. The people that work there are absolutely adorable! They seated me and the S.O. immediately. After they took our orders they always made sure our water was refilled and checked up on us consistently. I ordered the salt and pepper pork chops that come with a side of fried wontons, rice, and the soup of the day. The salt and pepper pork was delicious! The orders come in such great portions, I had to take my leftovers home. Overall, I was very satisfied with my visit! Will visit again. :)

Just barely edible. We used to go here all the time when it was China Delights. Back then it was great. Now the rice is very bland. It tastes like steamed rice with frozen mixed vegetables blended in. There is no flavor to the egg in it at all. The chicken we ordered was stringy and tasted boiled even though it was coated in sauce. The fried prawns were extremely dried out. We won’t be returning.

Granted, it was a Monday, but I was a bit concerned that there was only one table being occupied when we walked into the restaurant for dinner. The dining area was neat and clean and the welcome was friendly. We ordered the House Special Tofu, Wor Won Ton Soup, combo chow mien with crispy noodles and roast duck. Everything was good, but I particularly liked the tofu and the roast duck. The tofu came in a rich black bean sauce that was great over rice too. The duck had fantastic crispy skin with tender and flavorful meat. It must be mentioned that the service was excellent… friendly, attentive, and prompt. All of the ingredients were fresh, and prices were reasonable. Recommended…order the duck!

Clean. Simple. Affordable take out. Nothing fancy. Consistent quality. Staff is mostly friendly. Can’t go wrong with 3 entrée take out menu. Salted fish tofu pot(comes with chicken) is okay. Short ribs were a bit under cooked. Sauteed string beans were good. Chow fun is not bad. Better price/portion compared to other Chinese places around. Bone-in Chickens are usually okay(Royal, Fried,…) It can get a little busier some nights.

We tried this location when it was China Delight, and it was average. Decided to give New Moon a try on New Year’s Day. Was worried when we walked in and found very few other diners there(bad sign). But, the few that were there were Asian(good sign). We ordered the appetizer assortment, the $ 50 set dinner and chicken chow mein(for the kids). The appetizers were ok. The egg rolls had too much black pepper in the filling. I’m not a big fan of the crab/cream cheese combo, but my daughter loved it. The west lake beef soup was flavorful. The other dishes were pretty good: beef on cast iron(incorrectly translated in English as broccoli beef on the menu), honey walnut shrimp, deep fried halibut(the best), crispy fried chicken(on the dry side), and seasonal vegetable(in our case spinach sautéed with garlic. Kids were happy with the chow mein. Dinner was finished off with fortune cookies(a bit stale) and orange slices(very sweet and cold). Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back.

Ordered 3 dishes which were all good. Sat next to the wall outside the restrooms. We started smelling cigarette smoke. It was obvious that cigarette smells were coming in from the back door. The service was fair. I think the quality of the ingredients were above average. I would return.

One of the best American Chinese restaurants around. The restaurant is clean and service is friendly and fast. You can’t ask for much more. They have quite a few authentic dishes here if you ask them for it, but I come here for the American Chinese food ;) So here’s what I’ve tried so far… What I ordered and liked: Salted pepper pork chops(a little fatty tho) XO sauce fish fillet String beans chicken(sometimes the string beans are over cooked) Mongolian beef(I ask for extra spicy) Chicken chow mein Hong Kong style pan fried noodle Roast duck(skin was nice and crispy) Salt and pepper halibut(the fish was moist, yay!) Beef and boy choy BBQ pork fried rice What I ordered, but probably won’t get again: Sesame chicken(the chicken is similar to popcorn chicken… No bueno) Orange chicken(too sweet) Seafood with Tofu(there were only 3 kinds of seafood, and it was bland) So overall most of the items I’ve ordered are good, only a few no nos. Don’t forget to save your receipt for 15% off your next order. They should definitely extend that discount to 2 weeks like other restaurants in San Ramon.

I was out rolling around with my Uncle in his Whip Dakota and we were Famished so we decided to go to his Favorite Chinese restaurant –New Moon. So we rolled there. New Moon is located in a Strip Mall and there’s plenty of parking. So we stashed my Uncles Whip there and rolled into New Moon. We were Greeted and Seated and presented with Menus. Which we perused. We were brought Hot Tea . My Uncle ordered his Favorites — Salt and Pepper Pork Chops, Sizzling Black Pepper Steak on a Iron Platter, Foiled Wrapped Chicken, Asparagus Chicken, White Rice AND a Order of Wor Wonton Soup To Go for his Midnight Snack LOL. My Uncles a Character !!! He then asks me what I’m going to order lol. I ordered West Lake Soup. 15 Minutes later the West Lake soup arrived. It was really tasty. Westlake soup is one of my Favs. Then our other entrees arrived The Salt and Pepper Pork Chops were nice and Juicy. Portion was small The Sizzling Black Pepper was Tender and Flavorful Good but small portions again The Foil Wrap Chicken I tried one piece it was Dry and Sticking to the foil. My Uncle snagged the rest for his To Go Box LOL. The Asparagus Chicken was Delish i love Asparagus . The Waiter brought the Bill with some Orange Slices and Fortune Cookies he dropped it in front of my Uncle . My Uncle snagged a Fortune Cookie and 2 Orange Slices and looked at the Bill and then put it back on the tray and pushed it over to me . I just laughed and said ‚” Don’t Worry I Got It “. As he excused Himself to the Restroom. I paid by Discover Card and Rolled Out. If I were in the Neighborhood, I would eat at New Moon again.
