I went in today around 9:05am and there was only one young lady working because her co worker was super late. Of course I understood she had one other customer that was there before me she charged him made him his sandwich and was super nice l. The fact that she was alone didnt stress her out or if it did she didnt show it. She apologized for the wait which was honestly not that long, she managed her time wisely even tho she was by herself. She asked what i wanted offered a pastry and soda and then charged me all while still having a smile on her face. I honestly didnt even look at her name tag but shes a tall slender brunette. Long hair with bangs across. If she reads this i just want to say these five stars are for you i worked in food service before so i know how hectic it is especially when your all alone and you have to prep for the rest of the day. But you were super nice and kept your cool so thank you.

I always come for their salads and creamy french bread, if you haven’t tried them yet, you must! I believe the cream is just sugar and butter but it tastes like crack. Their almond croissants and sandwiches are really good too, and they have a meal combo where you can choose a soup/salad/sandwich for $ 8.

Customers who eat here are the WORST. So rude these bitches! The plate for samples is meant for every one takes a piece, not for you to stand there and eat them all. The guy who eats it a lot is this one old guy who works in Macy’s Men and wear a red apron. So Gross!

Been coming to Andersen Bakery since I was a kid. Anytime we head up to Northern California, it’s a MUST that we stop in San Jose to pick up some Andersen Bakery. As their whole menu is delicious and all their baked goods are truly fresh, the best thing they have is the French roll with cream. They are absolutely made to perfection and taste amazing. These French rolls are inexpensive($ 2.80/each) and go great with coffee or tea. Another great item of theirs would be the cream cheese walnut. I wish they had a bakery down in Southern California, but good thing they don’t because who knows how much weight I would gain if they were much closer.

Always great food and great service from this location. I come here so often, the employees have my order memorized now! Not sure if I should be happy or embarrassed about that…

It’s an O. K bakery. Getting fresh baked loaf of bread and their pound cake is definitely worth it but I didn’t see anything else that really caught my attention. I get my daily fresh bread here sometimes because it’s pretty good. I haven’t tried the other stuff and their pastries just look so dull. Some of their bread don’t look too fresh so you want to pick your choice before you buy them.

Went to the shop last Sunday and the very rude Manager refused to sell me coffee 25min before the store closed. You should really reconsider having these kind of people on your team… Get someone who wants to provide a service and is friendly… Never ever again I will visit one of your stores…

The bread and pastries are so bomb! The danishes are the best, but everything else is really good too. It’s oddly situated at the mall. Wish it was just a stand alone so it’d be easier to get to! There is a place to eat but it’s pretty bleak. But whatever, just enjoy your bread, and everything will be okay.

Very nice breads and sweets at decent price. Location wise, I would not have even noticed the place if I was not leaving the mall very hungry, the sweet tooth hunger type. The store does not smell like a delicious bakery, so it would have really pass if it wasn’t because I had the antenna on. The sweet bread that looks like a French brioche type is really nice. Coffee quality can improve. Ambience too, I found it not cozy enough and could not recharge my phone, or I could not find any outlet.

Have been coming here for bread and pastries for almost 18 years now. It honestly never disappoints. The walnut cranberry load is amazing along with the fig and pecan. The tomato soup with mini ravioli is to die for. My absolute favorite thing here is the PESTOCHEESEBREAD. Words can’t describe how warm and fluffy and tasty this is. There is the perfect amount of pesto and cheese on the bread. Get it warmed and get it sliced, you won’t regret it it!

Tried out their chicken salad sandwich which was delicious. Also their baked goods are fresh and not too oily. I would go here if I want a snack before heading out to the mall. There’s plenty of seating if you dont want to grab and go.

Love Andersen’s Bakery! I usually get the pesto, international cheese, or Creamy French. So crisp and so good. Tried the chicken salad sandwich once, and it was delicious; one of the best sandwiches they have, especially since it goes so well with the raisin bread. Always a fan of this place.

Always a fan. Their cakes are truly the best. I have grown up eating cakes which are light, fluffy and whipped cream icing and most cakes and bakeries here make cakes heavy, extremely sweet and smothered in butter cream icing. These guys are the European style cakes and hence I love them. Their strawberry whipped cream cake is out of this world good. So is their Dream Cake– though now you cant just pick up Dream Cake– they only make it if you special order it. their sandwiches and other pastries are really good too. But i really go here for the cakes, and everytime i have used their cakes for the kids birthday parties, people cant stop raving on how good it is. And enough people have written about their creamy french– so I will repeat that sentiment and say it is really really good. For a quick snack or just to help with the sweet craving.

My go to lunch place! They never fail me! My usual: Half/half combo with– Half farmers chicken sandwhich with extra sprouts on a soft French bun. Half fruit salad. Their soft French bun is AMAZINGLY and their fruit salad… Perfect for a light meal. The service is friendly always and fast. :) They also have a dining patio for all you mall employees who are tired of the dining terrace in the food court, as this patio doesn’t get nearly as crowded or noisy as the only upstairs.

I love freshly baked bread and pastries. This is my favorite place to stop for a snack whenever I’m at the mall. A creamy frech, pesto or garlic bread, or croissants always hit the spot. I always like picking up a loaf of the raisin bread, cinnamon, or apple raisin to take home as well.

Introduced my son to Creamy French … I can’t say that I enjoyed any this last trip to Andersen’s as he ate them all– funny thing, he said he wasn’t hungry at all. :Mother’s disapproving look: so now, he asks when he could have some again. Seems to me, that they’ve hired the more jollier staff here. I love that it’s next to the children’s playground where food and playtime is convenient. Used to come here often when I was a nanny… oh the good o’ days. I’m still looking for bread that I could enjoy a good sandwich in that won’t break my teeth. I hate having the crust cut off, because they cut it off pretty deep that my sandwich lost 1⁄3 of it’s bread. I tried the Ciabatta, I’m so used to soft Ciabatta– so I bit into it with a bit too much gusto and felt the pain of hard bread meets front teeth. Andersen, you guys make great sandwiches– but why does your bread always have to battle it out with my teeth? Recommends: — Eggplant and mozzerella for those who don’t eat meat — Turkey and mozzerella for those he likes a safety sandwich to munch on — Tuna salad for those who likes a little twist in their sandwich as well as an apple crunch to it(I personally am not a fan of the apple’s in my tuna salad) — chocolate croissants — almond croissants — cheese bread(they’re huge! ask to toast them, then ask for it sliced– easier to eat them) — creamy french — bread stick with a custard smothered in the middle. Cannot go wrong with this for neither adults or children!(Better option than the cupcakes across the playground!)

Nothing like a cold croissant $ 2.40. Stood at the counter waiting to order a sandwich, no greeting or staff to take the order. Passed on the $ 7.95 sandwich.

I’ve always been a fan of Andersen, and I’ve always been in love with their international cheese bread. I’ve branched out to try more things over the years, such as their three strizel bread, some of their cakes, some of their strudels, and even their clam chowder, but I don’t think anything really beats the international cheese bread. Service varies from day to day at this location, but overall I’ve always had good experiences with this place. What’s nice is that there are plenty of areas to sit, both inside and outside. They also have a free water self-serve dispenser, which I really appreciate as a water-only drinker. Whenever I come to this mall feeling hungry, I always try to stop by Andersen’s for a quick bite or something to take home with me.

How have I not yet reviewed Andersen? I’ve been coming here for years for one item. I single-handedly(okay maybe not) was responsible for them reinstating the garlic cheese roll as a menu item. Immediately on your left at the main mall entrance, the samples and crowds entice you to near. For a mall bakery, Anderson is really yummy. They will cut and warm up your breads which always taste fresh They also offer soups, pastries, sandwiches and salads. There is a sit down area or you can grab it on-the-go! Food favorites: Tomato raviolli soup Garlic cheese bread(warm it up for a hint of garlic and gooey cheese!) Pisano(basically pizza bread… when warmed up soft bready inside with a bit of crunch, a hint of cheese, and a nice addition of tomato sauce)…I’ve also tried the pesto bread and the pisano is better! Get one of their breads for your mall treat, and you won’t be sorry!
