Prescriptives at Macy’s

The sales clerks at this location are always nice and never give off any attitude if you don’t buy a lot of stuff and aren’t pushy. My favorite product of theirs is one that gives me a flawless complexion. It’s their ‘Anywear’ multipurpose makeup stick with SPF 15. They have a wide range of colors for just about every type of skin tone and type there is.
The shade is use is B/​R rose 23 and it matches my fair skin really well. It covers up my acne scars to where it’s invisible, even up close. It’s in a tube with two small sticks that are great for carrying in your purse for a quick touch up anywhere. It’s oil-​free and non-​acnegenic. It’s thicker that most concealers so covers more. I think it costs about $ 35.00. I’ll never use another concealer for my face, this stuff is the best!

I love Prescriptives! I love how they will custom blend my skin tones for the foundation and powder. This location is fairly helpful; haven’t had a bad experience here yet!
My skin tone tends to vary depending on how much time I spend in the sun so I tend to have quite a few shades of foundation. I like how for some other lines *cough* Vincent Longo *cough* I have to buy two shades and mix on my off seasons. Here, I get everything customized. That… makes me happy!

I’m normally nervous around department store makeup counters due to the bitchiness of most of their employees, but this one was actually a good experience.
I have been to the counter twice, the first experience was great. A guy who’s name escapes me, was the only one working there, and as soon as he finished scheduling wedding makeovers for another client he spent a lot of time helping me pick out a foundation. It was worth it! He would show me the different colors in the mirror and I ended up with one that is a better match than anything I have ever come across in my life. He wasn’t pushy, but explained many products to me and asked if I already had some basics. I ended up walking away totally happy and purchasing two items. Next time I went there he wasn’t working and some girl rang me up after I told her the exact item I wanted. Not most friendly, but it was quick and painless.

I’ve always been a great fan of Prescriptives foundation but have yet to expand to their other products. Vicky at the Prescriptives counter does an excellent job because she knows the products, knows how to use it, and knows what works and what doesn’t work. Nothing beats a salesperson who knows what’s going on and has a cheerful disposition! If I buy more make up from her, maybe I’ll be just as cheerful! =)
