Hands down the most disappointing Indian buffet out of hundreds of places in South Bay. The spread was exactly six items, vegetarian items just two sabji– aloo mutter with lazily cut giant potato pieces and weird curry, dal and plain rice and dry naan. Complete waste of $ 13 in an area teeming with dozens of better Indian restaurants. Avoid.

This place is quite a mess. The food use to be worth it but lately, but with the horrible service, it’s just not what it was before. Is this place really michelin rated? Because eating here just stresses me out. If you’re here you could get the: Butter Chicken Chicken Biryani Aalo Gobi(cauliflower) for some veggies Garlic and Butter Naan Mango Lassi’s The food wasn’t bad. I’m not gonna pretend I’m an expert on Indian food; it tasted pretty good to me, lots of spices. The one thing I will complain about is the service at night. The line for to-go orders was ridiculously long, and the waiters took forever to take your order. Between fulfilling take out and actual dine-in orders, the wait for our food was not pleasant. On top of that you could tell that the waiters were stressed because of the traffic and that sets the mood for the entire place. Rather than concentrating on eating you just watch the line grow longer and longer, and the number of angry customers waiting for their food grow. I’ve given this place two tries and I’m sorry to say that I won’t be here again. The food was not enough to make up for the poor dining experience.

Food is one of the best in South Bay — 5 stars But expect 3 star mediocre service!!! So average is 4 stars — good enough.

We have been to Kabab and Curry’s quite many times but the recent experience was very good. The food has always been their plus point! We have always come on a weekend and the place would be over crowded. They also take a long time to serve food and if you asked them for an extra spoon or cut onions, they mostly tend to forget. This might seem like I’m giving a negative review but it is gonna get better eventually! :) We had dinner here on a Thursday evening and there obviously weren’t many people around, mostly take outs. The place was very quiet and the management were very welcoming. We ordered Tandoori Fish for the first time here and it was awesome! They make the best Paneer Tikka Masala and Garlic Naans! Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala are also yummy!

My review is for the food. It is the bomb. The service however, bombs. The food here is good. Why do you think it’s so gosh darned busy? It’s always crowded with a line to sit and a line to pay. Over the years I’ve built my strategy around this. — I call ahead by at least 30 to 40 minutes. — I don’t sit and eat unless I’ve got a 1.5−2 hour block carved out. — I don’t expect any service. I grab my plates, water, anything missing, etc myself. The above strategy has greatly improved my experience here. Let’s be real. That CTM and tandoori chicken is finga’ lickin’! That naan, those veggie dishes. The fire that screams through my skin. It’s a pleasure pain experience to be remembered. Ps. I stopped ordering the lamb chops. They once used to be amazing. Now it’s more of a hit in miss, with the last few orders a clear miss and down right disappointing.

Terrible service. About 20 people waiting to pick up orders placed ahead of time! And the manager is impatient with customers simply trying to find out status of the order! Even if the food is heavenly this delay alone is a party pooper.

Had heard of this place from a number of people and so gave it a try. Came out with mixed opinion. Their tandoori chicken is very good — a very heady mix of marination, tenderness and juiciness. This item is strongly recommended. The lamb biryani was however a letdown for us. We were given to understand that this is one of their signature items and available only on limited days, We did not find it appealing — taste wise. Others have commented that the lamb portion is small and we tended to agree. Hence the overall average rating

I went here for the first time last week with my colleagues. I must say I was sooooooo impressed with the high quality of food. We went during lunch time and tried the buffet every thing I put on my plate was absolutely delicious. The desert was even very very good. The food was very fresh, the naan was fresh as well as baskets of Naan were served fresh to us through out the course of our meal. Customer Service was excellent I can not think of a reason not to revisit this place often.

I ordered from Doordash, so I’ll blame them for the forgotten Roti bread, but the other stuff is on the restaurant. There is NO chicken in my chicken tikka masala. Mistake? Maybe. Maybe not, since they know DoorDash will be paying the price. The Lamb I ordered is terrible. kinda chewy, maybe raw? Forgivable, if i didn’t feel so scammed out of my chicken tikka… The basmati rice is bomb, but thats hard to screw up. Then again… I used to apply that rule to all Indian food…

Service was bad. They were overwhelmed and have help wanted signs on the door. I asked for a glass for my Pepsi and was given a bowl of ice and a straw. One of my food items came out to me 30 min after everything else and was cold. Another dish was overlooked and partially burned. The quality of the food was lacking. Honestly I have experienced much better food quality.

Sadly the quality of the food has dropped drastically. It is super greasy and doesn’t taste that great either! The naan that I raved about in my earlier review is also not quite the same. Service is also hit or miss. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. I know some people say the service is bad but the food makes up for it, but I just couldn’t get over the lack of service at this place it actually made the food taste bad. Husband and I came here for dinner. We were seated quickly then things started to slow down. Didn’t see anyone for fifteen minutes. Finally we ordered and one of of meals came out. But we had no silverware. We asked a server for silverware and the. He disappeared for 15 minutes, my husband finally had to get up and get us plastic utensils from the front. Our other entrée comes out 15 minute later and we finally get real utensils. Meanwhile I’m watching the guy who is serving the food keep taking a rag out of his pocket and wiping his head and neck sweat with it and then putting it back in his pocket and then serving people food. Ugh. Never going back. Ever.

Hidden gem in Santa Clara with wxcellent indo/pak food, highlight reel: — Wow! The pllace actually has a Michelin star! — Curry menu has the chicken tikka masala is really creamy and and the palak paneer really tasty and dishes have a lot of flavor, read oil. — Grill menu has tandoori chicken or lamb chops, grilled in a super hot indian tandoor is delicious and healthy. There is also a tandoori filet of sole, which I have not tried recently. — Bread menu, garlic naan and tandoori roti, made of wheat was good — Goat biryani was also very tasty with a lot of flavor, read oil, but the normal price you pay for taste. Waiting to try the chicken biryani

Pretty decent buffet selection for the priced paid. I particularly liked the tandoori chicken, Saag paneer(spinach with cheese), and believe it or not, loved the fresh salad! The buffet also comes with kofte — lamb meatball curry and unlimited naan you can eat. For dessert the buffet featured the mango pudding mixed in with what seemed like fruit cocktail from the can. Saw a taxi dropping customers off and I am thinking wow! this place must be quite special for people to arrive via premium transportation.

The restaurant is hard to find. It’s in the building of its own. Parking is on the street but easy to find. It’s a full house by 12PM, but you don’t have to wait very long. Most people come for the lunch buffet, and it usually fills everyone up quickly. It’s also hot in here and not much ventilation. If you opt out of the lunch buffet, the service is slow and they tend to forget your orders. We had to ask for the mango lassi twice before they brought it to us. Regardless, the employees are nice and mean well. I guess non-buffet customers aren’t their priority. The Aalo Gobi($ 6.50) is a good-sized bowl of cauliflower and potato, cooked with onion and tomato sauce. It has flavor and is borderline spicy. I needed a few sips of water to contain this. This had more flavor than the chicken breast. The chicken breast quarter($ 4.75) is a thick piece of meat that’s half chopped. It’s more spicy than the Aalo Gobi. The chunks are satisfying. The Queema naan is minced beef stuffed inside the naan. It was alright since I couldn’t taste much of it. You have to ask for sauce and it still didn’t taste any differently.

Let me begin by saying that this rating is a CAUTIOUS4 star. Although I liked the food and had a good dining experience, here are my caveats: Lamb Biryani — spicy, but there’s very little lamb visible; our server forgot to serve us the raita which is important in cooling your mouth from the spice; also, I had to ask for the naan; what I want to say is, «Don’t serve me the biryani until you have the raita and naan ready. This is common sense, not rocket science.» 4 Naan Basmati Rice — if you order biryani, then you don’t need this extra rice 4 Tandoori Chicken Legs — my three other dining companions said this was the best tandoori EVER because it wasn’t sitting under a heat lamp drying out! Butter Chicken — nice flavor Lamb Korma — good 4 Mango Lassi Total = around $ 72 I over ate.

Come for the lunch buffet and fill your plate up with butter chicken!!! It’s creamy with lots of chicken! They also offer a Togo option. 1 star off for parking.
