New Balance Sarasota

I want to thank New Balance for helping me find the right shoes!
David ‘s evaluation was awesome! In 48 years of competitive running I have never had such a complete and accurate evaluation in finding the right shoes for me. I so appreciate the details and explanations David gave. Tonight I ran an easy 3 miles in the Vazees. I felt like I had been re-​aligned and each stride was smooth and forward. And I was feeling use of the whole shoe! I haven’t felt that for a long time! My leg muscles even felt different and got more relaxed into the run! I wasn’t landing on my toes (I tend to be a toe striker) but more evenly on the shoes. I think, as David pointed out, with less heal-​toe drop in the shoe I am landing more evenly on my foot.
I am very excited and hope I can run some record times as a 65-​year-​old for Team New Balance Sarasota. It’s a wonderful team.
I believe New Balance has the right shoe for anyone but I needed a personal evaluation to find mine. And at New Balance Sarasota that is available to those who are having trouble finding a shoe that works.

This place really changed my view on what a shoe store can be and should be. Most shoe stores just sell shoes and accessories, but New Balance goes above and beyond that. They are actively involved in the community with a number of walking/​running programs and were extremely helpful with picking out shoes too. If only there were more places like this. :)

While I love the convenience of shopping on-​line, when it comes to my running shoes, there’s no substitute for a specialty retail store and the New Balance store on Stickney Point is worth anyone’s time and effort (there’s one in University Park too). The staff are truly knowledgeable about shoe fitting for everyone from seasoned runners to aging adults who, as we all know, all come with individual needs relating to foot, ankle, biomechanics and other lifestyle and training challenges. Love the apparel too — just keeps getting better. Do your feet and body and favor and visit one of these stores.

The New Balance Sarasota store is huge, but well organized — men’s and women’s shoes and running gear and accessories (shoelaces, socks, hats, energy gels, etc.). I’m always drawn straight to the clearance rack, picking up a 100% polyester running t-​shirt for 50% off today ($ 10). Can’t beat that — who doesn’t love a sale? Bought mom a pair of new shoes after the associate helped to analyze her gait and find her the proper style, and inserts. $ 170 later we were out the door. Great location and knowledable staff make this a great store.
